J1CS tile size(?) issues

I do all my J1CS work in '98 for this reason, but I'm going back to school again in a few days and will only have access to XP. When I run J1CS in XP, the tileset window takes up more space than the tileset itself, and the white box selection is larger than a tile, resulting in strange mask previews. The main window also has no idea which tiles to load from the set. This happens with both 1.01 and 1.10, and I have downloaded those VB6 files to no avail. Any suggestions? I don't want to be helpless until mid-December.

I haven't used J1CS since like 2003... but back then I used XP and don't remember this problem. So, I doubt it's a problem with windows XP per se.... My guess would be AtomicFeline assumed a fixed DPI setting when programming the GUI... try changing the DPI ( http://www.lawfirmsoftware.com/free/...ettings_xp.htm )

Yep, that's what did it for me, when screen res wasn't right, JCS didn't like it.

Huh, that's a really weird effect. Works great, though, and explains some other strange size inconsistencies I saw elsewhere a while back. Still stuck with the tiny unresizable 1.10 editing window, but at least tiles display. Thank you very much!
