I don't think mobile games should be where the JJ series are going. Maybe ports and spinoffs, like Dobermann's JJ1 shareware port or the twin stick shooter. JJA needed fixx0rs but was OK for a spinoff game.
Oh and wb. All hail Shaney! ![]()

OpenJazz has been ported to Android, although the download link is broken and it's behind by an update, so I don't know how well it works(If someone could compile and upload the source code, I'd appreciate it).

I don't know if this was mentioned before, but I just found these two Android games that are "borrowing" graphics from the Jungle tileset of Jazz 2:
Jungle Monkey 2 and 3: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...emonkey2&hl=en https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...emonkey3&hl=en So yeah. |

Hah, well, they appear to be free, so I guess I can't really begrudge them the use. They look like terrible games, tho.

I've run the original through DosBox before. There's a version called DosBox Turbo that has better performance, but costs a dollar or two. I haven't used it in over a year, but the last version was difficult to set up the controls for. I'm not sure what they changed with in the updates, but I wasn't having the same problem a few years previously.
If you have decent hardware, the original Dosbox might run just fine. |

Yea, I've replied somewhere in Primpy's linked thread how awesome DOSBox Turbo is on Android. It does the job just fine for JJ1 at least. JJ2 still needs a very fast device to be somewhat playable as it also needs Windows 95/98 installed.
Those screenshots Wiivn posted look out of style in nearly every way thinkable. If they decided to rip tiles, they could've at least learned how to use them. ![]()
