No real use for it. You can chat in-game or using chat programs like iCQ. iRC is powerful but too difficult to set up for most people (installing the client and stuff).

It's not that hard to get used to it, and a common main chat location would be great to have. The main problem would be, what IRC server?

(Maybe Onag'll make an IRC server, and allow us to have a #JJ2 channel )

Why not use one of them Java Chat things? Just make a new page called J2O chat and put in the Java chat thing... it'll work and people can schedule a time when to go!

I agree with Aiko on this one. Why do we need Jazz if we can meet eachother outside it? Jazz will certainly die if there will be such a thing. Everyone goes to the chat instead of the game. Let's start a new topic: "How do we destroy Jazz and keep in contact with eachother"

It never works anyway.

One time, there was a #Jazz2 on Dalnet... and people visited it, even the developers.

One day jb/purplesheep ressurected #JJ2 on Austnet... and it lasted for 2 days.

One day I ressurected #JJ2 on Austnet... and it lasted for about 2 and a half weeks.

One day Fquist ressurected #JJ2 on Austnet... and that's the last time is been ressurected.
