Question Episode Files.
Is it possible to make your own episode files and pictures for them?

Yep! I just don't know how.

(Proof of this... Martin's "5Alive", Putrid Monkey strikes Back, Christmas Chronicles 2001. And I think the Lost World had some episode file, but I forget.)

Yes, it is possible, however I do not see a point in it. Use homecooked levels.

Well Mike i know it can be confusing and screw up JJ2 but if that happens just delete the episode file.

Its quite easy to make your own level files i will tell you that much....if you ever do make an episode file make sure you use formerly a prince as its always open.

Hmmm...are these people hiding something?

I'm trying to figure it out...

If you open an existing episode file in a hex editor, it basically has two sections: the level filename, and everything else. The "everything else" seems to be all binary garbage, so I think that it is the image file. What format though I have yet to find out.

Can someone who knows how to do this comment on if I am on the right track or not?

Yes link thats right, replace the level filename with the level you want it too load, guess there was no point in me hiding it ;-p

Now, if only we could add a seperate place for them... but that means source. We can't do very much to JJ2 without the source.
