Ok. Now we know jj2's command lines which are:
-EASY -MEDIUM -HARD -CAPTURE -COOP -COUNTS -CONNECT -fullscreen -J2l -log= -log -MAXCACHE2 -MAXCACHE8 -MAXCACHE32 -MAXCACHE128 -MAXPLAYERS -nocpucheck -noddraw -noddrawmemcheck -noddrawwin -nodsound -noerrtrap -nofilter -nojoy -nolog -nonetwork -noreg -nosound -nospy -notriple -RACE -RECORD -safe -safelog -SERVER -spy -TREASURE -windowed -battle -PLAYER And TSF only: -play -lori -spaz Now I would like to know if anybody knows how to use them for single player? I mean is there any way to start the game with them and play Spaz and not Jazz as it usually happens when you run a level like this: Jazz2.exe rhgstart.j2l -easy ?! Which command line or what ever must be added to get Spaz in version 1.23? I am asking for v1.23 here. I know how to get him in TSF (Jazz2.exe rhgstart.j2l -spaz -hard). Now what about v1.23????????? You can tell me for multiplayer too. _________________ -Overlord Anti-access violation patch coming up! |

First off, you might want to look at jazz2.exe /? that gives you a few common paramaters.
As for starting a server in 1.23, use -server -play type (battle, coop, race, treasure) -(difficulty if coop) level.j2l You might start a game like this in coop and pretend its single player... |

so...
c:/games/jazz2/jazz2.exe -connect -24.25.206.117 connects to the Battle Server. YaY I've got a nice link now ![]()

I need to start a snigle player in v1.23 with these command lines and somehow get Spaz instead of Jazz when the level starts. I said that it's possible in TSF (jazz2.exe [level] -spaz -[difficulty]). But what about in v1.23?

Well.. if you REALLY want, you could ask pennywise to make a modified XJJ2 which is only used to start up the battle server..
(XJJ2 being able to list a server on the listservers, of course) Hmm.. does XJJ2 accept command lines? I may smell a neat feature for version 4 or whatever if it ever comes about.. ![]() |

But if Pennywise updates XJJ2 I'd have to put in my 2 cents about how the list server puts games up. I mean come on, put the version number and the max people and the play type properly not like it does now :P

Somehow, you have to talk to the jazz.logicware.com server so that you can be listed in their serverlist. Jazz2.exe and xjj2 did it somehow ?_?

Weird, I use "jazz2 -server battle1.j2l", and URJazzCC joined; though he wasn't supposed to join yet, I use this command line so that I can open another jazz2 window by typing "jazz2". Unfortunately, I'm not listed in the serverlists, but URJazzCC joined because he still have my IP address on some other program, since typing "jazz2 -server battle1.j2l" will serve as a TCP/IP network.
