How come when it asked me when I registered do you want to store your Username & Password in a Cache for 1 year? And I answered yes, but it isn't storing my Username & Password in a Cache for 1 year. Plus when I checked the Cache the question is set to No when I answered Yes and I did click ok and waited for my preferences to be updated.

That option is broken, I don't think it ever actually worked either. The board will also only store your username in a cookie, not a username and password. So it isn't terribly useful anyways.

(1.) It isn't broke, the phpBB crew just started working on the function, and then dropped it, but forgot to remove the crumbles



(2.) JohnM: If I could figure out how to fix it.. I've looked at the code and the system just doesn't make sense to me.. it should have been fixed already.
