Hmm I don't think the answer to this is in the FAQ.

So people can join with XJJ2 and Jazztool but not with JJ2? This is not a hosting problem, but a pinging problem.

With JJ2, servers must be properly pinged before you can join them. XJJ2 doesn't ping servers, and Jazztool uses the standard ICMP-ping, so that is why they can be joined.

JJ2 uses a special JJ2-ping, on UDP port 10052. That is also the port used for joining passworded servers and some in-game communications. So the problem is that your UDP port 10052 is being blocked somehow, but TCP ports 10052-10054 are not (because JJ2 can still work when it doesn't ping first)

What has changed on your computer? Because you were always able to host before, but now you cannot. Did you change ISPS or anything, or install a new firewall or router?

I will put my answer here in Dutch, as I suppose you hav dutch win xp.

dubbelklik op je verbinding
ga naar eigenschappen -> geavanceerd
klik op het hokje bij firewall zodat hij niet aangevinkt is
sluit de verbinding af en maak opnieuw verbinding.

It worked for me (thanks to Fl@$h)

I had a similar problem. The problem lies with your firewall. Disable it while you're hosting and you should be okay. It is deceptive, though, because you can join with your firewall normally, but you can't host. At least that was my experience with ZoneAlarm (a great firewall, BTW).
