Capture this dummy flag
Hm, i didn´t know where to post, so i decided, that i´m going to post here my question...
I feel a kind of stupid to ask this question, but when a friend of mine and me played capture the flag, we had a weird problem. After everyone of us had captured one flag and got the next flag in our hand, we couldn´t make any points, cause it didn´t want to count the flag as a point. But some stupid arrows said us, that we have to follow the other one, or something like that. We didn´t know what to do, so my friend just shot on me til i was smashed, but it didn´t work, then he smashed me again and the he tried to get my flag, but that didn´t work too. Can anyone say me, if we do anything wrong, or is it a bug?

I'll keep it simple. Pretend that you're blue:
1) Start the game 2) An arrow will be pointing at the red base. Go there to capture the red flag. Your opponent will most likely go to your base (the blue one) and capture the blue flag 3) The arrow now points to where your own (blue) flag is at the moment. So if the opponent has it, the direction of the arrow will constantly change (if the opponent moves). If you kill your opponent, the blue flag will be returned to the blue base. 4) Score the point by bringing the red flag to the blue base when the blue flag is still there. If you're red, it's vice versa of course ![]()

Are you playing on-line
or local play split-screen? I have heard that CTF doesn't work on local play split- screen, that could be your problem. ![]()

That is a bug. Ctf doesn't work in split-screen mode. Play it online and it will work.

CTF in Splitscreen just doesn't work. So don't try it. It works up until the moment both players have the flag, at which point the game has to stop.

This is a normal bug with no fix in split screen mode.

I've had that problem too.... now it's solved though. Either in split screen two players shouldn't go for the flag at once (kind of ruins the game) or I should play online CTF. Does it work with network?

Thought so.

Yes.
Otherwise, Player 2 would be disadvantaged by the fact that he couldn't say player chat. This doesn't really make sense in splitscreen, though. It's kind of like the scientists who decided to see if grasshoppers' jumping had anything to do with making sounds and cut off the grasshopper's legs. They concluded that since it wasn't making a sound and wasn't jumping, the answer would be yes. |
