AAAAAAAAH!
*screams like girls do on TV* You mean... you mean... there's a 2-player JJ1? I MUST get Saturn. And that. *skeptist instincts kick in* I doubt this really exists. If it does, it was probably never released, and I doubt if it was Epic-supported.

"For use with PAL and French Secam Sega Saturn Systems"
![]() Looks like I'll have to go to Europe to get it...if it exists. And I'll have to get a european sega saturn and a PAL\NTSC convertor....and a power convertor...and... No matter how much I care about JJ1, I'm not spending thousands of dollars to play it two players. (I can already play it on my TV with video-out) Or maybe there is a US version, but I'd still have to get a Sega Saturn.

Yeah, back then Sega had some special kind of feature (now the name escapes me) of where they tried to convert the "AAA" PC games over to Saturn. It didn't work out very well for them, though. But it is nice to know that Jazz was considered a AAA game! =)

How come no one knew of this?!?
|

Old news. I knew of this, for example. Newspaz only wants to impress all you newbies with his picture archive :-) I think we even discussed that here or, more likely, on the JMMB before. Would be interesting to have the game running on a Sega Saturn emulator (if there is any that works) and see how it looks like. Well, if you're really interested in consoles (i'm not, i hate them :-), you might also want to know that there were also plans to release JJ for the GameBoy. You can read more on that topic on Haze's Hideout (he also has this "soundtrack" thing there).

![]() Haze's JJ Gameboy music is unofficial, and it's a little hard on the ears if the sound is up loud (it's simulated GB music, whaddaya expect?) but it's cool. Also, they did shift the project to the GBA, but then it was dropped as far as I know. |

I am not a newbie. I played at 11:14 PM EST the first day. Why did I mark it on the calender? Don't ask me, I'm just a freak
![]() I knew of this, but I thought that it was an English release. I didn't notice the bottom text. That's one odd coincidence, Newspaz. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, this is Lyris, the URL you saw on the picture. I'm glad you guys liked my hoax. That was the product of a boring Sunday afternoon in January 2002. I still think it looks very realistic but the beveling round the Jazz logo looks a little bit artificial. Thanks for all your feedback guys! And to all the people that "have seen this before" - really? ![]() |

Actually, that's common on most European console games from Sega. Most PAL Sega Saturn games have about 6 languages crammed onto the back. Since I only speak English that wasn't possible for me, so I made it like the few English only back covers.
Also, the Saturn was a (failed) CD based system from around 1995. It was a complete nightmare to program, hence it's downfall and poor 3D graphics (it can actually produce better 3D than it's main rival, PlayStation, if properly programmed), mainly because of the fact it has 4 (I think it's 4) processors running together. Being such a nightmare to program, we can only imagine how bad it is for the emulator authors ![]() |

Newspaz and me thought we should share these too.
![]() ![]() ![]() Some errors with the cover - it seems unlikely Epic would convert the game themselves especially for an unpopular system. Also in the 2 player shot there is only one life/ammo counter for both players... (whoops!) (edit, links fixed) Last edited by Lyris[SD]; Aug 10, 2002 at 03:00 PM. |

![]() ![]() Seriously, that is AWESOME!I always dreamed of playing Jazz on a console. If we can't get GB Jazz, we're stuck with this. ![]()

It was mentioned this was fake.
Actually, I tried typing "Jazz Jackrabbit" and "Sega Saturn" into a search engine, and the only thing I really got were **** sites. |

I knew this was a hoax from the minute I saw the picture. Epic, before Unreal, only made games for the PC. Jazz 1 was never made for any console. Thank you.
