Was Castle ever finished?

Was the castle tileset actually finished? It has that little construction sign, and the "slides" in the tileset might've been something to go with the unfinished "slide" event. Actually, I think the slide event was meant to be a frictionless platform, and if the slides were masked differently, some neat stuff could be done with that.

Most tilesets are unfinished in some ways or lack tiles. :/

I am guessing Epic nixed the Slide event because of the fact it was too complex to mask, and would have required a 3D mask or some way for Jazz 2 spin around the curved slide, which would have required some special layering. Obviously, it was too complex to do, so they didn't use it. That's just a theory, though.

Yeh, that and the fact that there aren't any slides in any of the other original JJ2 tilesets.
