First of all Craccoboy and me had the idea to start a World CUP in JJ2.

What is a cup you say? Well first you start with Groups.. mine idea was 2 groups of 4. They fight each other every week. The best 2 of those 2 groups go to the playoffs and goes to the Semi-Finals. After that The Finals. I want to return this event 2 times a year.. Every Fall and Every Spring.


We need some Good Rules For this. So i request to all clans/players start brainstorming some rules.

First of all ->
- for now Offical levels only by Epic Games only (DM Warzone)
- Every clan can send an Admin for the matches
- An admin should host the server.
- An admin may only be from 1 other clan. So if Clan A goes vs Clan B he or she must come from another clan.
- Cheating is forbitten, if an admin detectes one while fighting. It results the clan in a forfeit lose. If its detected agian then its out of the cup.
- You can only play for 1 clan. When you are in 2 clans you must chose for what clan you are going to play the cup.
- arranging must bedone with in a week otherwise the Supervisors force a date plustime if a clan doesn't show up it results to a forfeit lose
- the match should be played the week later on then.

Well there will be plenty of more rules by you/me/craccoboy so this is still underconstruction.

Also I want to add that I'd like to know if these clans are willing to join the cup; TEC, DM, FoR, XD, JOL, TF. With the addition of CC and GpW, we would have 8 clans then.
However, other clans are allowed too, just post if you want to participate, and we'll see if your clan is qualified.

Another thing. Shadow and me will decide which person from each clan gets to be admin/deputy. This person has to be alright in english, needs a good attitude and frequently online.

Ofcourse we'll also talk with the clan to make sure that the clan agrees as well. And we'll also think of problems like timezones, don't worry too much Stilleto .

By the way, I talked with Jolt from TEC and most likely TEC is going to enter the tournament (when he gets permission from Cloud, the TEC leader). So at the moment we have 3 clans. I also talked with BunnyElmer from XD, I'm not sure whether he wants to or not, we'll see.

How the heck you want to know if someone is cheating, cataclysm kinda lags.

I think just about any official multiplayer level should be allowed, and personally I preffer battle, its 99.9% possible for me to get good at ctf, and it can take years.
I dont think it should have to be admin that host, but none of the members of either clan I think should; atleast the host shouldnt play in the war.

diamondus warzone is unbalanced with the bases, why not capture1?

I'll have to agree. Shad, maybe we should just find some no-clanners or people from not participating clans, OR people from the clans who are participating, but not playing in any match for a host-team? Preferably hosts from more timezones than just one.

I volunteer to be one of your primary hosts if you let me be in charge of the selection of levels your torunament will allow, since I will not give any support towards it if you only allow DW. My schedule is quite flexable, and despite what people say about me, I do enforce rules fairly unless someone really, really annoys me about something. My connection is ADSL, and is usually fast enough to be relatively unlaggy for most people. I am also willing to not participate in the tournament at all (meaning I will be totally neutral) if I'm a host, meaning that I will be able to host matches that include DM.

Rage, does that mean that (whole) FoR is going to participate? It's a clan tournament, not a people tournament.

So far these clans are participating for sure: GpW, CC, TEC, XD. I convinced Bunny that it's cool to join, even if he may lose one or two matches.

And Mike, we'll think of your 'deal', Shadow and me still have to think and talk about which levels we'll allow.

Maybe it would be a good idea to select a team of levelmakers who are willing to make about 3 totally new CTF levels, exclusively for this tournament.

I also thought of the idea to let the deputies from each clan make one CTF level each, that would mean we'd have 8 CTF levels, but I'm not sure if all clans have at least 1 good levelmaker. I'm sure about DM, GpW and CC, but I don't know about the rest.

Nice idea. But we really have to play custom levels like BBLair or Semi .

We will play custom levels too... In total there'll be about 5, 6 levels used in the tournament. But, EvilMike and me agreed that it's better if we don't use those overused custom levels, but give more unknown, or new, high quality, levels a chance. If it's guaranteed that the tournament is going to be a succes, EvilMike is going to make a good CTF level for it.

DM will most likely participate in this torunament, and if we have a lot of hosts, I will be one of the participants. If we lack hosts, I will not be one of them, becuase we will probably require people to host DM matches.

I am going to select about 10 levels which might be used in the tournament, and then the list will be narrowed down to about 5 or 6, depending on how things turn out. The levels I am going to pick will be high quality ones which are not super-popular.

Ok, so far these clans are participating for sure:
GpW = Gurus of Proactive Warfare
CC = Cracco Clan
TEC = The Elemental Clan
TF = Total Freaks
XD = Xtreme Bunnies
BOD = Brotherhood Of Death
And this clan most likely:
DM = Dark Mercenaries

That's 7. Room for one more clan!

I talked with Shadow (and EvilMike, who'll probably also help out with organising) about how we're going to do the tournament.
It'll work like this.

The 8 clans will be splitted in 2 groups of 4 clans each. As an example, I'll call the clans AA, BB, CC, DD, EE, FF, GG and HH. Let's say that group A has AA, BB, CC and DD, and group B has EE, FF, GG and HH.
All clans in each poule will have to fight eachother once, so 6 matches in each group, 12 matches in total in round 1.
In group A:
AA vs. BB
AA vs. CC
AA vs. DD
BB vs. CC
BB vs. DD
CC vs. DD
In group B:
EE vs. FF
EE vs. GG
EE vs. HH
FF vs. GG
FF vs. HH
GG vs. HH

Each victory will give the clan 2 points. From each group, the clan with the most points and the clan with the second most points can proceed to the next round. Let's say from group 1, AA had most and BB had second most, and from group 2, GG had most, and HH had second most.

The clan who scored best from group 1 will have to fight the clan who fought second best from group 2, and the clan who scored best in group 2, will have to fight the clan who fought second best in group 1. So that would be AA vs. HH, and BB vs. GG.
Let's say that HH and GG win. Then HH and GG have to face eachother in the final match, and the winner of that: winner of the tournament.

Simple ;-P


Edit: Most likely this will be what happens if lets say clan AA gets 6 points, BB 2, CC 2 and DD 2. BB, CC and DD would have to play 2 vs. 2 sudden death matches against eachother (sudden death: first team who scores a point wins). BB vs. CC, CC vs. DD, DD vs. BB. Those can be played quickly and won't slow down the tournament much.. Could all be done in 1 weekend, if it happens.

ADSL seems fine, and at what times during weekdays, and at what times during weekends, are you on-line mostly?

I have ADSL as well, same speeds as SliM.

We have 8 clans, nice.

In 1 week we'll start giving information about the matches, and we'll start the real tournament in 2 weeks.

All 12 matches of the first round must be played within 6 weeks. Each clan has 3 matches, 1 match in 2 weeks shouldn't be hard.

Now about the timezones + levels + moderators/deputies.

As said before, each clan needs a moderator/deputy. These are the small tasks they have.
- When 2 clans are going to play a match, the moderators from each clan have to talk with eachother and find a good time when both their warteams are able to come (or at least, most of their good players). Then they both (to avoid any misunderstandings) give that date (given in GMT) to me or Shadow, and it will be registered as the official time of the match. Please be in the pre-game server at least 10 minutes before the match starts. Clans who're more than 10 minutes late will get 0 points in that match (while the other clan who had to wait, gets 2).
- When 2 clans are going to play a match, the moderators from each clan have to talk with eachother about in which level they'll play, from about the 6 choosable levels, they both have to say at least 2 in which they'll want to play. If they totally can't agree about the level, then the war has to be played in the default level DW.

CC and GpW don't need a moderator I suppose. The only clan who already has chosen it's moderator (with an admin's permission, the moderator may not be someone who'se disliked by the admins Shadow and me), XD -> BunnyElmer.
I am hoping for TF, TEC, BOD and probably DM and FoR to decide too.

friday night is pretty much always a definite, throughout the week at about 3-7 id say (-5:00 gmt) saturdays and sundays i can attempt too. what i usually do is go idle if i ever do leave the server up.. can i do that? or must i actually admin the server and make sure no one is cheating?

I'm not sure about that.. Shadow, what do you think?

I'd first have a look where the majortiy of clans come from. So you can see what timezones you'll have to use.

Then you can pick a right host. Although, that's just my opinion.

I don't think any of the 8 clans will cheat.. Nah.. VERY unlikely. But for extra security all hosts should still run cataclysm.
