It should. If it doesn't, it's not the operating system that is your problem.

Doesn't XP not have DOS, and doesn't JJ1 need DOS?

I am unable to get JJ1 to work in XP for me.
![]() Even with TPPatch and the correct sound settings. XP does not have DOS, and is not based over DOS like 9x and earlier. It only has a command prompt, which emulates a DOS-style command line and can run DOS programs. But the nature of JJ1 (a game) likely prevents it from running. Has anyone gotten JJ1 to run successfully on any of these newer OSes? (XP\2000) If so, how?

I'm going to work on a special boot disk that one can use to play JJ1. When I get it finished, I'll post it up on J2O.

Since a boot disk does not require anything to do with Windows XP, this boot disk could be used to get into a DOS session you could run JJ1 from without XP's strange DOS "helping." |
