Regarding Foo Races.

Who (what?) exactly is Fooruman?

And what are these so highly-spoken-of foo races?

Foo Races is a series of popular race levels made by Black Ninja, Spotty, Salamander, and sometimes EvilMike and KJAZZ. They focus around Fooruman, a funny wizard character that provides comic relief and a good, if not slightly meandering and screwy plot line. While they pretty much standard race levels but with more interesting puzzles and a funny plot line that is both exceedingly stupid and exceedingly funny. I'll admit that I am a huge fan of them. Over twenty Foo Races levels already exist, and more are still being released. They are so popular even people that had nothing to do with making them often host them. They're great fun to play, even many times, and never get boring. In short, they are the best race levels you can find depending on your taste. If you like more old-fashion (no humor, no plot line) race levels, you may dislike Foo Races, but even most old-style race level fans still enjoy Foo Races. And there is one simply reason they are regarded and spoken of so highly: they rock.

Basically, if you make a race level, and it's not very good quality, put in some text that is said by Fooruman or one of the makers of the series and you have a perfectly normal foo race.

Non-believer. ;-P
Foo Races are more about fun than competition. If you put them in a competitive sense, you'll quickly have the same thoughts about Foo Races as Unknown Rabbit. They aren't the best quality, but they are fun to play. I might even call them a cult favorite.

foo races are, in short, a new era of jj2, created by Spotty and I. It started with some old races i'd fixed up, and then it went on from there.

Fooruman is a wizard that is suffering some severe mental retardation or something, because he is DUMB. He started as a chara c ter that tried to stop you (the player) from becoming an ultimate foo. We built on him from there. Foo races are almost always online, and soon a new batch of about 14 will appear.
For more info, check the articles section on J2O for an interview with spoy and I reguarding foo races.

Bye.
