What is a good clan?
Well, for explain this, I have to start from the start.
What's a clan? A clan is a group of people, playing together. They are also friends, they help eachother, and having fun together. You don't have to join a clan, but I did recom you join one, because you get a lot of support from your clan buddys. A clan is not a rank, its not something you get respect of. There have always been this negativity around the clan forum, because people thinks they are loyal to their clan by saying their clan is the best, and all other clans sucks. Bobby aren't better than MazinKaiser, just becuse he's good at playing jj2, and is leader of DM. MazinKaiser is aswell a human as Bobby and me, he has as much right to live (and play this game), as you have. Why a clan? You should join a clan, if you want to get moved in this game. Most clans goes after the orginal thing, your skills. Clans help your skills growing, you may start in BR, then join something more avrage as JOL, and at last, come in some of the most populair clans. BR isen't a rookie clan, I respect BR much, becuse they cary all the new players and help them grow. That does clans like GpW not. There aren't anything wrong with you, don't worry. Starting a clan? I would not recom you start a clan in the moment, we have enogh of clans, there is for sure a clan out there that may be something for you. There's also more about start a clan you must have inside you: -Personality, you will meet lots of members, all with difference personality. If you can't take it, you shouldn't start a clan. -Skills, you don't have to be good, but a clanleader should be able to play well, I wouldn't like to join a clan if I won over the clanleader 10-0. Your skills may be the start on your clans population. Thought when you got it up and running, your skills dosen't really matter so much. -Seriously, do you really want to start a clan? Most people start a clan becuse they want respect (read "What's a clan?"), they are maybe power hungry and want to control things. This is not the way starting a clan, people dislike powerhungry people. You will only lose respect on start a clan is its not serious. -Time, you should have time to hold your clan, don't just use 5 minuts on tell that you now are clanleader, plan your clan well, find a host for a homepage ect. What's about a clan? There aren't anything special about being in a clan if you aren't intrested in help with growing your skills. You don't need to play a clanwar, you can play 3 on 3 without being in a clan aswell. The thing about being in a clan is the friendship after my point of view. I didn't join TF becuse I thought TF owns, but becuse I had friends in it. When I started playing, I always wanted to join the "bestes" clan ever, GpW. ;P But when I joined, I barly knew Disguise, and ShadoW never replied to me in msn. I weren't intrested in try rejoin GpW after it died and restored, becuse I saw that I'm more intrested in being in a clan with people I know well, than in a clan with people I don't know. If you want to know more about clans, you should read -Clan Forum -Good clans? What's that? -The reasons why most clans fail A few articles I agreed with. If the admins now are smart, they may want to do this topic sticky *cough cough* ;P Well, do you disagree? Have any adds? |

Word.
I have friends in GpW. It's all good. Though most people join clans because their friends are already in the clan, I would think the point of clans would be more to have fun while practicing the game at the same time. It's just a more organized way to become more skillful and to participate in events that you couldn't join as a clanless person. And if GpW died (again), I wouldn't join another clan. GpW forever!
