Question Cannot reload levels

Let me clarify. I had a series of levels, six or seven of them, good ones too. Then we sold our computer, and I saved them all onto floppy disks. However, when I tried to reload them onto my new computer, they did not register as Jj2 levels but as Wordpad documents! I don't know how this happened or how to get them back. Is it even possible?

Pull them into your Jazz 2 dir, and try open them with JCS.
Hope that helps.

Or you could try changing their file extension, though that probably wouldn't work.

Usually changing the file extention works for me. Unless the file is actually written in a way that can not be opened with the program you're trying to open it in. Try changing the file extention, and if that doesn't work, then I can't help you.

Probably the file-type registry is just weird. The .j2l extension is associated with wordpad, and that's why.

Fix it:
Open explorer, go to Extra -> Folder Options, choose File Types, search for the .j2l extension, select it, click properties, and change the progam that's used to open it to JCS.

Should work now...
