I'm gonna host a dedicated server (soon).

1. I dunno wot server name i should use.

2. I dunno if I should host CTF or Battle since I can't host both.

3. I dunno if I should host it in TSF or on 1.23 since there's no one on 1.23 lately.

HELP ME! MY HEAD IS ALL MESSED UP :P

I'll think of a servername but I have doubts about hostin in 1.23 or in TSF (IS MONOLITH LONELY OR WHAT??!?!?!?)

Any level suggestions?

no doubt that it should be TSF. we really need a TSF battle server...we have one for stinky 1.23 already (there isnt anybody on at european times anyways). personally i'd also like a ctf server but i seriously fear it wont be a success.

about the name..i dont know: "Forever TSF" or something spiffy like that

p.s.: my server names rock!

I'm going to be hosting a Treasure server called "The Forgoten Mode". it'll be up always unless my parents shut ut down at night.

also it'll close sometimes when i wanna battttle.

depends...for CTF, good choices are "Happy CTF" or Shadows "Future Evolution" or the default CTF levels...if its battle...there are a lot of awesome packs to choose from (stuff from Spy, Shadow, Dis etc.). or just default battle. oh well...just browse thru j2o and sort by rating

by the way, i think a server like that is more like a meeting ground for everyone than a real battle arena...but still, it should have some quality levels of course

I'll permit you to host it in TSF IF you do not use PaStE'S CiTy (SP?) or Battle1! They are overused enough already!

I actually wanted you to serve a puzzle level. I'm obssesed with them currently which is Treasure.

1. Any name you want. An Ideas is Flea's World.

2.Battle

3.Regular Jazz Jackrabbit 2, v1.23

Actually you may be able to host both. It's possible if you host the 1 server. Then switch your server lists in the registry.

Someone joined my server, & was hosting a server at the same time.

I suggest hosting a dedicated server in TSF. It's no fun if the only 1.23 servers are the same ol' dedicated servers.

You cannot host more than one server on the same machine (IP), no matter what version it is, because they'll both be trying to listen to the same ports.

Host it on 1.23 becuase 1.24 people can go to 1.23 but not always the other way arond.

BTW: IF YOU ARE HOSTING CTF AND THE FLAG GETS STUCK I'll be THERE TO MAKE THE SERVER CRASH =P

how come i can start a 1.23 and a 1.24 server at the same time, with ppl in it?

Stop complaining, i just ordered ten copies of TSF for all of you who weren't able to buy it. I will ship everywhere inside Europe and, obviously more important, to North America (USA, Canada).

Fear, make the server TSF. We have a 1.23 Battle Server already.

BTW, I tried to host a servers in TSF and 1.23 at once and it DOESN'T work one server works and the other keeps pinging...

You can't run 1.23 servers from 1.24.

I think that you should host "TSF Battle Server" seeing how Monolith has an almost permanent server on 1.23, and TSF has no dedicated server, it would be a good idea to put it on TSF. Also, CTF and treasure get boring. And, the most popular game type is battle, it should therefore be battle.

Just promise, that if you do make a TSF battle server, don't try to start an alien takeover like Monolith did.

My idea would be a TSF server with the basic name "TSF battle server"

Also, I think that people who have TSF dont realize they can use 1.23 as well, (most of them dont seem to) or just dont have 1.23 installed.
