Yeah, 'furry' is a subject, not a style. You can easily spot differences between a cartoonishly-drawn anthropomorphic, a realistically-drawn one, etc...
As for me, I prefer cartoonish. Specifically, unique styles that either borrow from very few sources and make something new up, or borrow from many sources and make something new out of them. I like seeing something new when I see a new artist, not copying the same old stuff everyone else does. :-) By the by, I edited the poll for ya, Wild.

Hmm... Rather hard choice... I think I mostly like cartoonish art, but that can include SOME anime (Particularly the kind that I grew up loving, like Maya the Bee, and The Noozels.), and as for furry's, a majority of the stuff I like DOES contain them, but they don't have to be there for me to like them(Ex. I've been a Popeye fan for years- the closest thing to a furry there is Eugine the Jeep, and he doesn't count because he's a jeep.) And as for realistic stuff, you all know I love Howard the Duck, and that comic is Marvel- so you know it's got the Marvel style of realism(Admittingly, Howards eyes are far too big for his head, but its acceptable.) And as for "Other" I've grown up surrounded by the art works of Jacob Lawrence due to my grandmother being a freind of his. http://www.africanpubs.com/Apps/bios...renceJacob.asp Therefore, abstract art is one of the best in my opinion. I guess I'll have to go with Cartoony since that's the kind of stuff I mostly associate with myself, but I agree that this should be multichoice. "See her flying through the air, Buzzing here and buzzing there, Saying 'Catch me if you dare', Busy buzzing everywhere..." -Maya the bee theme song.

Realistic.
Too many people draw Anime and Furry. Sure, lots of people do realistic stuff aswell, but realistic tends to be more varied. I do like Furry and Anime, but every single drawing Furry or Anime (or both) looks the same to me. Cartoons are the best for expressing emotion, and can look cute, Picollo. ![]() Personally, I like quick, yet long strokes. Get a huge peice of paper and draw with my arm, not my wrist. Best for life-drawing and all that. The realistic stuff. And realistic is the most meaningful... It doesn't necessarily have to be perfect. It can mean something. And be easy to look at.

Cartoonish. Reality frightens me and someday I will destroy it XD.
And Velk, nobody laughs at your artwork, ;p. I agree, Furry is a thing you draw, not a style. Shame I already voted for that ><.

Gothic isn't just black dresses of silk and crimson walls and black hair. Goth is attitude. You know vampires are rated 'Gothic', but everyone knows that. Just because you draw a vampire doesn't mean you're a goth. It means you drew a vampire. I say alot of 'goths' are wanna-be's. Real goths listen to gothic metal, they find a beauty in death, not being they want to die, but they just find a wonderful beauty in it, crimson, black, and dark purple are 'primary' colours... But that's modern goth. I would go all oldschool, but it's pointless.
Stop getting the idea in your head that goth is black and white makeup like a domino and black clothing. Besides, labels suck and the term gothic originated from a German group, I believe. (edit)---- Since I'm a smart alec-- goth n. 1. A style of rock music that often evokes bleak, lugubrious imagery. 2. A performer or follower of this style of music. ---- Goth·ic adj. 1. 1. Of or relating to the Goths or their language. 2. Germanic; Teutonic. 2. Of or relating to the Middle Ages; medieval. 3. 1. Of or relating to an architectural style prevalent in western Europe from the 12th through the 15th century and characterized by pointed arches, rib vaulting, and a developing emphasis on verticality and the impression of height. 2. Of or relating to an architectural style derived from medieval Gothic. 4. Of or relating to painting, sculpture, or other art forms prevalent in northern Europe from the 12th through the 15th century. 5. often gothic Of or relating to a style of fiction that emphasizes the grotesque, mysterious, and desolate. 6. gothic Barbarous; crude. ---- Goth n. A member of a Germanic people who invaded the Roman Empire in the early centuries of the Christian era. ---- Now, if you don't know what lugubrious means, go look it up. It's not perverted, I'll say that and leave the rest to your own minds. ---- Now, question me, and since my mood is rather raw... no comment. `Wildie

You do have a point there, Cobra. As my very close friend says, "True, true. It's all in the attitude, the rest is extraneous. You could wear all pink, listen to disco and still be gothic, so long as you had the attitude, it's just that most that have the attitude like black, like metal, as it fits their mood/personality."
I was speaking of modern gothic 'standards' should I say? `Wildie

I know nothing about goths, except that most goths are try-hards who think it's new and "different".
It's just another way to be "cool" in my eyes.

O NO PLZ DNOT ASK ME 4 COMENT ON STUP GOHTS PLZ THX
I SHALL HEREBY TAKE THE ROAD OF MY ELEVENTH COUSIN NINE TIMES REMOVED:
<insert witty unrelated comment here> THIS IS WHAT A **REAL** GOTH LOOKS LIKE, BY THE WAY: ![]() --- I insist on drawing semi-realistic backgrounds, and other miscellaneous boring stuff. If there is an art-related talent I have, it is expressed solely in writing, not drawing. Leave the Gothic/furry/blah-rific stuff to other people, I say. ;-P In other words, I shall ponder about writing my poem (taedium vitae), rather than drawing. About goths? Hey, it seems like a lot of the girls here claim to be "goths", and they seem to get a lot of attention. I could be a conformist, and say "HEY IM A GTOH 2 CNA I JOEN UR CLUB SO I CANE GIT LOTS OF ATENTION.??????////". Death is an eternal sleep and it's peaceful. It's quiet, and we meet loved ones in it, right? It's very.. amazing... very incredible indeed. Imagine all the souls of the world together in one place at one time. Yeah, I don't need lectured on religion and wisdom. I'm agnostic-- I think it's impossible to know if there really is a god or not.

"They stick you in a box and throw you in a hole, and don't let you out, not even on weekends."
There is no beauty in death, and there is less beauty in life. Suicide is just a cowards way out of this world. To live is to die.
