Question Midis to JJ2 music files

Yes. Use MODplug tracker and you can save midis as .its. Then, you can use MOD2J2B to make it a J2B file, but it's not necessary.

Thanks. Now, where can I get these programs? I checked the downloads section and I didn't find either of them.

Mod2J2B I'm pretty sure is on the D/L's page. But MODplug tracker isn't. Just type MODplug tracker into your favorite search engine and you should be able to find it.

Pay no attention to my last post. How do I convert .it files to .jb2 files using Mod2J2B?

I think it tells how in the readme file that comes with it. If it doesn't, check Haze's Hideout. It says under the download.

Ok, so I don't need to put in .jb2 format, but why can't I hear the music playing? I went to level properties and put in the file name(without the extention), I should be able to hear it, right?

No. The level now looks for the file without the extension. You have to put in the .j2b extension for it to work.

Put .it, .mod, .xm or .s3m behind it.

Personally I prefer .j2b because that just looks more professional ;-P

Hiya, as said you'll have to add the extension in the "Level properties" dialog, just to be sure.
And as for the usage of the "j2b"-format... it may look a bit more "professional" but:
- one cannot replay the song, once distributed, outside JJ2
- using J2B causes severe incompatibilities with JJ2 for the Macintosh

As, most likely, you'll package the levels and music up anyway (in a .zip or whatever package) the compression benefits can be discarded.
I'd say DON'T use mod2j2b and stay compatible!

I didn't encounter any bugs yet, but I backed the musics which I converted into j2b up anyways, for in case they'll cause trouble.
