Wow, I am posting art.
No, no...I don't draw anything. I suck at drawing...the only stuff I enjoy drawing is graffiti. I would show some of that but my scanner is always messed up. Anyway, I do love photo editing and digital art, so I thought I'd ask for opinions on this. Edit: Finished Image (1-29-03) Actually I just started making this picture yesterday, and have spent a total of maybe 4 hours on it. I wanted to use it as a background. It was inspired by the song "This Is Not an Exit" by Saves the Day. I know the moon is huge. I like it that way. Just thought I'd ask for some opinions =) Yeah. That's all. =)

Very nice piece of digital art, although it's a little rough around the edges. The boat has a white boarder around it that look like remains of another picture that you might have cut it out of.
Take that out and you'll have a very awesome picture (IMO of course). I know I say this all the time, to everyone...but if your using PSP, make the jump over to Photoshop. Especially if you want to get seriously involved with digital art.

Well, I already told you about the PSP and PS stuff in #jj2, so I won't go into that =). Thanks, though. Yeah, the image isn't finished so that debris from the picture I got the ship of isn't totally out. Work in process

Nicely done, so far.
![]() "This is not an Exit"? Anthrax happens to have a song by the same title. Meh, it happens. It sorta seems like the boat isn't actually in the water. I'm no good with this sorta thing.

Anyway I worked a little more on the image to get rid of the antialiasing problems and added a few clouds and other minor details. yAy.

Impressive indeed! Does look quite realistic.
The only flaw I can see is that the water line on the boat doesn't quite seem right... I dunno, it seems like the line is coming up too far, or the water's too low on it, or something. Or the water line on the boat doesn't seem like it 'connects' to the water the boat's sailing on. That's about it, though. Not bad besides that. :-) Oh, and about what you mentioned about drawing graffiti? Graffiti art ain't half bad, really, if done right. Got any handy? I've been itchin' to import some good tags into Jet Grind Radio on my Dreamcast...

Hrm, if you'll have to go through all kinds of trouble to get it, don't worry about it, then. I've got a few odd tags hanging around as-is (though none are really 'graffiti' at all... that's why I was curious). Thankee anyhoo!

Well, as far as I'm concerned, I've finished the image. You can look at it here.
Now the only thing I am dissatisfied with is it looks like some of the wooden pole things holding the sails are way too dark. I did that accidentally somewhere along the line and was too lazy to start back over on getting rid of the antialiasing on the entire boat. Oh well, it doesn't look necessarily bad, just doesn't match the rest of the boat =/ And hopefully the boat will seem more...submerged. I also redid the boat's reflection in the water and added some clouds. Finished! Total time for everything...probably about 6 hours. Thanks for all of the comments, everyone.
