Eh...HELP!!!!!!!!1111 d: Jazz2 disconnects me.

When I host a game and people come (or not) then after a couple of minutes I get disconnected (using ADSL), and have to reboot the computer to re-connect.

You get disconnected when you host? That sounds sort of strange. What exactly do you mean? Does JJ2 give you an error message, or is it just your internet connection disconnected?

Does anything happen when you join other games?

Do you have a router?

Does this always happen when you host JJ2? Have you tried connecting and hosting a server in succession (sp? In a row it means.)? If it still happens when that happens, it's one of two things: Your connection to the internet or an anti-JJ2 virus of some sort. If it doesn't, then it's possibly your ISP. Some DSL companies have a set amount of people they can have connected, say 20,000. And if person 20,001 tries to connect, the person that was connected the longest gets disconnected. It's a vicious cycle.

No router, joining works fine, I cannot detect the disconnection except by seeing everyone leave at once (everything else appears online still) and I cant enter web sites or anything.

I have a level in a pack that disconnects everyone from the server, I never opened explore afterwards. It could be an actual bug in jj2, try see if it's the same at other levels.

So it seems your entire connection gets lost. Something like this actually happened to me before, except it was with a router. I can't really suggest anything to fix it, but you can probably reinstate your internet connection without restarting the computer. What operating system are you using?

I think you'll need to contact your ISP about this one, unless someone else who has DSL knows how to fix this problem or at least has some suggestions.

EDIT: I just noticed that you said this happens when people join, or not. Does this happen when people don't come? Because I know DSL kind of works like a regular modem in some cases (though faster), so your ISP might have some sort of idle disconnect of some sort. But then again if you had that, you wouldn't get disconnected when people were in the server.

How about private servers?
