Que Passa!!!!

(Don't Worry: I plan on finishing the last chapter of "M is for the maiming" before I start this story, but I desided to get prepared before I did so...)

I was checking out abandonware recently and meeting a bunch of old videogame pals I haven't seen for a while. Specifically, Cosmo (From Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure) Commander Keen (From Commander Keen) Jill of the Jungle (From... Jill of the Jungle) and Johnny Dash (From Monster Bash.) And as I threw rocks at members of the undead, a rather strange idea came into my head: What if all those old ID, Epic, and Apogee shareware characters got together in a reality TV show reminecent of Survivor(kind of ironic, since I haven't seen an eposode of Survivor in my life... but I HAVE seen parodies, so I think I know enough to make it funny... Expect a lot of "Eating rat" jokes.)...

...HEY, COME BACK HERE! I PROMISE TO MAKE IT GOOD!!!

Anyway, I plan on making it interactive by allowing YOU the readers to vote people off. Also, I'm accepting nominations for vid game characters to compeate. Here are the characters I have so far:

Jazz Jackrabbit (Don't go easy on him just because we're all his fans.)
Commander Keen (He can kick Dexter's butt.)
Cosmo (Can his suction-cup hands keep him from being voted off?)
Johnny Dash (He's a cross between Buffy the Vampire slayer, and Dennis the Menace, for those of you who haven't heard of him.)
Jill of the Jungle (Johnny SAYS he can kick her butt... Now we'll find out for SURE!)

I'm aslo thinking on including Duke Nukem, Halloween Harry, and Hugo(From Hugo's house of horrors, among other games.), but I'll just let you guys deside who gets in. Keep in mind, you can nominate your favorite character, OR villian(Bad guys might keep it interesting...) Just be sure to mention the game that they were featured in so I can do research.

Hocus Pocus: Gee, how could I have forgotten to put him in. It would be cool to have a guy with magical abilities in there...

Captain Claw: It took some thinking, but I'll throw him in, seeing as how I loved his game.

And I'd like to add one more character I forgot about into the list: Willy Beamish (From The adventures of Willy Beamish. It's a real fun quasy-adult adventure game that I happen to love.)

While I'm here, I also forgot to mention: I'm planning on having about 12-15 contestants(any more and it might get too long.), but I'll listen to anyones suggestions before I deside who stays and who goes.

Let it be known that I hate Survivor. I'm just giving names because I enjoy being annoying. Therefore, this is probably going to be the first, last, and only time I reply to this thread.

I've never seen a single episode of Survivor in my life. Just like Batty.

OMG, its like you ppl have all the same games as me.

Throw Baron Bladric in, he can shoot and jump, and he is certainly different from all the characters added in so far, which makes it more interesting.

You should have polls for who to be voted off =P. I'm pretty sure you can just edit the first post's poll as the story progresses and more people get kicked off.

I already have a plan for the voting off proccess, as well as an idea to further the Surviver experience by allowing anyone who wants to to write interviews with those voted off. (You know, ask them who they think is going to win, why they think they got voted off, and personal information... like, say, asking Commander Keen if the Bean with Bacon megarocket ever makes a funny smell when he kicks it into hyperdrive, being that it's made out of old cans and stuff. -Stuff like that.) The majority of my parody is based off of one WB online did once called "Toon Marooned"(Featuring the Looney tunes, of course. Tweety won, Daffy came in a close second.)

I also have downloaded One Must Fall, Jumpman, and Inherit the Earth(Being the only three games out of the list that I have never experienced.). Keep in mind that the character personalities will be based on my representation of them, of course.

I'm pretty sure it's illegal to download ITE... I'm not sure if OMF and Jumpman have been released as freeware, though.

It's OK, I found it on abandonware. In fact, practically every game I'm useing I could either 1) Find on abandonware, or 2) research on fansites/gamefaqs.

I'll have to check out Final Fantasy fan sites before I can get to you on that, but I'll see.
(I DO like final fantasy, but I must admit, I'm not really up on it's history, and I've never played FF6 and 7 beyond demos at Fred Meyer. It's going to be tricky, but not impossible...)

What about Guybrush Threepwood from Monkey Island? Or.. the Purple Tentacle (yeahh, a bad guy!) from Day Of The Tentacle?

You could start with about twenty lemmings, who spontainiously explode thourghout the story. They'd all count as one person (e.g. someone votes for the Lemmings to leave), but they'll all die at the final four or so.

And it really needs more female characters. How about you put in that wolf girl from ITE (The one that nearly kills you with a spear after you (accidently) catch her taking a shower =P).

About ITE, why don't you just download the abandonware, I won't play my version for a week or so, then you'll delete your downloaded copy, and we'll say that I loaned it to you. Every law has a loophole. It's a really great game, like the old Sierra Kings Quest games only... better.

And since it is an adventure game(The true name for "Kings Quest" types of games) I can see that I will probably like it, being as I LOVE all those adventure games.(Especially the Gobliiins, Space Quest, and Eco Quest series... Hmmm... Gobliiins- now THERE'S an idea- Mag, Tech, and Ath in the story. /\/\ )

Okay then, I simply won't use my copy of ITE for a while =P.

I've had second thoughts about Willy Beamish, as his game is rather... raunchy.(His pet frog's name is Horny.) Also, about Yoshi, which one are you talking about: Yoshi's Island Yoshi, or Yoshi's Story Yoshi?
