I have the Jazz CD for JJ1, and I get runtime errors because I have Pentium III, so I downloaded Moslo. How do I work it?

Don't use MoSlo.
Just patch your game using TPPatch or another program I can't think of right now. You'll need to patch file0001.exe in your JJ1 folder, not jazz.exe. (This should be in technical help)

How do I use TPPATCH? I don't know anything about patching or whatever. I have no knowledge of programming. I'm just an ordinary person who wants to play Jazz. It worked on my old computer years ago, but that's gone, and it won't work on this one.

If that doesn't work, here's my article on TPPatch.

So how exactly do I use it? Can you give me a step-by-step procedure?
|
Apr 5, 2003, 02:55 PM | |
Well there's basically a step by step procedure in that article...but here it is in some more detail:
1. I can't remember if the JJ1 CD copies the executable files to the hard drive or not. Check in the JJ1 directory (probably C:\Jazz) and see if it has file0001.exe and jazz.exe; if not you'll need to copy the CD to your hard drive. 2. Unzip tppatch in your JJ1 directory. 3. Go into DOS or a command prompt, and in your JJ1 directory (type "cd C:\Jazz" or whatever the directory is), type the command "tppatch file0001.exe". Some people have also had success by (in Windows Explorer) dragging the file0001.exe file over tppatch.exe.

How do I unzip tppatch into the JJ directory?
|
Apr 5, 2003, 03:16 PM | |
Do you mean copy it to the Jazz directory? I did that and when I went on the DOS promt and did what you said it said "Bad Command or file name"

Ok, Extracted the files directly into the directory, and went into C:\Jazz and typed: tppatch file0001.exe. A sentence written in a different language popped up, and nothing happened.
