				Music related problem

Earlier I downloaded all of the AB5 level and music packs, and put them into my usual Jazz2 1.23 directory. I loaded up multiplayer, and joined the AB5 CTF server. It turns out that NONE of the music files are working. I can't hear a thing with any of the files. First of all, I made sure that they were in the right directory, I know that much. Second of all, nothing sound-related is muted. I'm not sure what else to do. I'm kind of stumped, here. Hopefully someone can help me out with this strange problem.

			Turn on speakers

![]() Is jazz the only program having problems with sound or can you hear music in other programs? Can you play the downloaded files in a tracker eg. ModPlug Tracker? Try increasing the speaker volume within jazz, windows and the speakers themselves.

Something similar happened to me like that. It turned it that a file in the JJ2 directory was deleted on accident and I didn't notice. Go through and check if anything's missing, if you have no fricken clue what's supposed to be there, reinstall JJ2 and see what happens.

Could it be the jazz files themselves?

Are the music files in a tracked format (it, xm, mod, etc.) or in the native Jazz format (.j2b)? Because I am thinking it's the levels...lemme hack one and see what's going on.

That's your problem! get the music converter from www.jazz3d.cjb.net

and use it to switch them to j2b format.
