DO NOT USE refers to an event that is not used in your version of JJ2. More than likely, it's a level made with the Holiday Hare version, which I think does use a couple new events. Could also be TSF, but I don't think you'd be able to view TSF levels in 1.2x JCS.

Trigger Zone is the most common DO NOT USE event you will see. To add it to your JCS, do the following:
Go into your main JJ2 folder, and open JCS.ini. Find event 246. Replace it with 246=Trigger Zone |+|Trigger |Trigger|Zone|TriggerID:5|onoff:1|switch:1 Save, exit. (JCS doesn't support multiple spaces very well, so use some spaces to get all the | symbols to line up with those in other events) |

It's most likely the trigger zone you see, because Agama's example heaven level has plenty of them.

Not worth what? Twenty seconds of your time at the most? You may have no use for them now, but later on, assuming you have them, you will find you need them. It's not going to harm your JCS, it doesn't cost anything, there's really no reason not to add it. Especially because that way you can understand levels that use it better.

How does it work?
It doesn't have any parameters in the 'set event' window, is it supposed to? It does not work for me. In the heaven example level it is just placed anywhere put triggers the trigger anyway.
EDIT: once again my problems are solved before I get an answer. why do I write to these forums anyway? Last edited by Ringo; Jun 10, 2003 at 10:46 AM. |

You mean the Pacman Ghost? It's a TSF enemy.
To use it, open up TSF's JCS.ini, and change event 253 to: 253=Pacman Ghost |-|Enemy |Pacman |Ghost (once again, feel free to add some spaces so the pipe symbols line up) |

Hmm.... weird... I thought if it was the trigger zone, and you had 1.23 it would show up... but it doesn't on mine, or something, ahh.... never mind.

One of the DO NOT USE events actually has a function that very few know about. With a generator it creates an airboard that respawns quickly.

For those who are interested, the one Mike refers to is event #243. You can set the respawn speed if you make it generate.
243=SP Airboard |-|Object |SP |Board |
