The best controls that I have found are: M for fire, N for switch, B for run, and space for jump. You use your index finger for fire, middle finger for switch, ring finger on run, and your pinky and/or thumb for jump. If anyone knows any better controls then that then TELL ME!! Although I doubt there are any better controls on the keyboard.

I use the default controls, except that the other button for jump is "Z." They're good enough for me..;p

Default controls.
I use my right hand for movement and my left hand for changing weapons and shooting. I use caps lock to run.

You all should really try my controls because with them your hand isnt stretched across a few keys, and they are alot easier to use when you get used to them. I just really hate the default controls and I use space, B, N, M and arrows for just about every game I play. These controls are also alot more comfortable for your hands when you play for a long time. Does anyone know if theres a way to change my user name? I wanted to change it to the one I use when I play JJ2

I'm a Defaulter too.
Radium: The switch weapons key won't work if you're frozen, but the numbers will. |

How can you people use those default controls?!?!?! They are the worst controls possible, you should at least TRY the ones that I said.

Ah, I like my controlls just how they are, and I have no discomfort with them.
They are kind of like the WASD controlls of 3D shooters in a way, because the keys I use are around that area. Arrow keys are all at their default values, of course. Shift=Run Z=Shoot X=Jump C=Change weapon It works well for me, because they are all in a row, without my hand being in an awkward position, however I'd have to change the keys if I was to have someone else at the keyboard with me on multiplayer. It is only set up for one person at the keyboard. Oh yeah, and if I don't know I am in chat mode, and try to jump, I may end up typing XXX by mistake ![]() |

Silly question, but what are the default controls?

F:Fire
D:Jump S:Run A:Change In all my games, I change the controls to ASDF (and if I need more buttons, QWER, and ,./ for changing camara veiws) I used to use a MICROSOFT sidewinder gampad, but when I upgraded to MICROSOFT Windows XP, it didn't work and had no patches. Wee fun. `N0

well, this might seem odd but:
up: up arrow dwn: down arrow left: left arrow right: right arrow fire: left ctrl select: enter jump: shift run: x for some odd reason i never got used to the default controls. it just felt akward to me, maybe it's the wave (split) keyboard i am forced to use, cause my dad has carpal tunnel syndrome. |

Right hand:
Up: Up Key Down: Down key Left: Left key Right: Right key Left hand: Shoot: Enter Jump: Shift Run: Ctrl (I've always Caps-Lock on, so I never use this) Switch Weapons: Backs(lash/pace) and numbers.

Left Hand
Up: E Down: D Left: S Right: F Right Hand Switch Weapon: H or Y (my finger hits either one of the two so I just put them both on the controls) Shoot: U Run: I Jump: O I used to use the usual WASD with: V as weapon switch B as shoot N as run M as jump Problem with that was keyjamming on my current keyboard, so i tried different combinations and found my current one to be the most anti-keyjamming there is ![]() Oh, and dont think default keys are weird, I've actually seen people play with them and do fine, it still scares me though ![]()

I use the default controls, and my left hand is on the right control and right shift. I don't get how people can go to the left side control and shift. Seems weird to me =P
Actually, the only thing I change is that switch weapons is /. Enter is too far away and awkward.
