I got windows 98 and ADSL with no new firewall, and never had one or trouble with one if i did have it...
It searches for the list and then says error connecting to list server.
I might just need the latest patches for 1.23

Try going to Start>Run>regedit and navigating to HKLM>Software>Epic Megagames>Jazz Jackrabbit 2>ListServers>1.23 and setting the value for 000 to jazz.contrabandent.com and 001 to jazz.logicware.com.

It is for nothing. You must download inteligent listserver patch.
I had same problem, and I waited for it long time. Donwload it!!!

Danyjel, that patch does the same thing, but people who are lazy, insecure, or bad with computers can use it.

...The steps I mentioned work. The Intelligent List Server patch simply monitors a server for updates to the list server's status and corrects them. At this point, it does basically the same thing as what I just said.
