Water and Lights

Is it just me. . .

    . . .or is having water and ambient lighting in the same level rather. . .well. . .  Impossible?  I tried triggering water in this Race level I'm working on, so, you know. . .part of the race would be swimming.  However, once the water was triggered, the ambient lighting I'd previously set vanished.  Completely.  The stage was back to being very brightly lit.

As far as I know... yes. If lighting is that important, you could always do a first layer transparent black covering on the whole level.

    I think I have an alternate solution, actually.  I'll just trigger the water away after the swimming area, and trigger it back just before said area.  That should work for my needs.

Edit:  . . .okay.  How do I get rid of water entirely for that level?  ~_~;

As far as I know, you can not get rid of water once it has been triggered, nor can you use ambient lighting. Sorry.

You could put the end of the level underwater.

Couldn't you change the height?

Yes, but it'll still be in the level.

So the ambient lighting won't work... I got it now.
