UNKNOWNFILE Proudly Presents:
The Complete Jazz Jackrabbit CD
soundtrack
Collected and titled by UNKNOWNFILE
Greetz to Jelze U
Here it is, the complete JJ1CD soundtrack. It took
a while, but here it is. It has all the JJCD songs in it,
some which are hard to find (in my case), but here
they are.
I also have bad news: This is my last upload to
Jazz2Online. It also marks the end of my Jj2
career and my CC membership. Good luck to
everyone in the Cracco Clan y’all :-)
There are 5 parts of this upload, all of which I
will upload in various time, not simultaneously.
Song List:
jjsongs – pt. 1 – Contains menu song, Deserto secret, and various
other songs not used for levels.
jjsongs – pt. 2 – Contains Song0 ~ Song5.
jjsongs – pt. 3 – Contains Song6 ~ Song13.
jjsongs – pt. 4 – Contains Song14 ~ Song17.
jjsongs – pt. 5 – Contains SongCD0~SongCD8, and XM2 and XM3.
Enjoy these final uploads from yours truly.
[5 part upload merged into one. ~stijn]
Good remixes, I may use them for my levels. The only con is Boss.sm3, it has some bugs in it, maybe you should look at it. (Or my Sound Blasters are broken ;))
How is this different from the various other places you can download JJ1’s complete music collection?
Just to make things clear: they’re not remixes, but conversions, straight from .psm format (more on that later). The only difference is that those have a title built in now, not just some auto-title (like Song5 for Song5.s3m) The only advantage you’ll get is in the Module Players (ModPlug, WinAmp, I use XMPlay myself).
Now, I can already tell you this: these conversions kept all qualities of the original .psm files. As in, sometimes a sample is being played wrong (mostly zigzag samples sounding like waves going up and down, you know what I mean), due to the fact current players don’t have proper .psm support (.psm is old!), even though they have been converted to s3m.
To make a long story short: downloading these would be like downloading the original .psm format without the necessary modifcations to make them sound decent. As far as I know, ModPlug is the only player with .psm support built in, even tho it’s not perfect: samples played wrong, sometimes skipping and speeding; those are the common problems with .psm, and I expect them to turn up in the next sets. no rating yet.

link is broken…:-(
bye bye DaPete
So it is welcomed to upload Jazz3 music (all)? And it is legal?
I don’t think its legal but im not sure…
quite nice music files. Im not gonna rate this though, since you didn’t make them.

How many times should I say “Only .j2b works”?
Cooba: I know, but I’m not the only one with this problem![This review has been edited by the real one Bjarni]
Bjarni : Until you’ll get it that something’s wrong with your JJ2 >p
Danyjel : This is from JJ1, you (/)
UF : Nice to see that files again.[This review has been edited by Cooba]
Here I am again, with the review of the second part. This time, rather than reviewing the pack as a whole, I will check the individual for problems and other things, since they may have .psm related problems.
- Song0.s3m (Diamondus): Nothing wrong with this song, sound just like the original.
- Song1.s3m (Sluggion): Same here, although one sample is still missing (0:53 – 1:01). One would expect it to be inplemented by now, but I guess only the JJ1 music engine can find and play it.
- Song2.s3m (Technoir): No problems. ‘nuff said :p
- Song3.s3m (Tubelectric): ditto
- Song4.s3m (Turtemple): ditto
- Song5.s3m (Nippius): ditto
Verdict:
They all sound just like the old .s3m files, and that’s where the problems lay. The only thing that makes them different is the built-in name instead of the auto-name. If you already have all JJ1 music files, this may not be worth your time unless the auto-name thing bothers you. If you don’t have them, they make good substitutes.

Once again, some musics doesn’t work for any JJ2, I’m not the only one! And oncea again, only .j2b works for all JJ2 versions!
The final installment is coming out.. i dunno… maybe may??
Song 14 (Scraparap)was replaced with a fixed and looped version. The fixed version came with QoB, and I did the loop :-)
Stay tuned for the 5th music pack
Thx for Jelze for song titles ;-)
Why you can’t to upload all together?
Hey, my JJ2 is fixed, I finally installed pack so now does other then “.j2b” works for my JJ2, I’m so happy! I’ll not review this! I’ll review then the volume 5 comes I promise!
“UNKNOWNFILE Proudly Presents: The Complete Jazz Jackrabbit CD soundtrack (Volume ###/5) “
i agree with danyjel…i also was wondering if this was volume 4 or volume 5? make up your mind.
OK, Bjarni :-)
UPLOAD THEM ALL IN ONE PACK OR UPLOAD THEM OR A SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!![This review has been edited by Ðx]
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR?
Hehe, nice music files. i think i would/will use them in some future projects of me. ;-)
GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
i dont know why you didnt downloaded it…
Yeah.. gotta agree with Danyjel and spazzyman. you should upload this “soundtrack” in one zip file, instead of uploading it in 5 parts. ;P
We know Bjarni… could you please stop telling this over and over again? its really getting to my nerves. ;P
I’m not as good in rating music then tileset/levels so I’ll give it N/A
What about the tune Exoticus? And please shorten the bonus level name. I can’t fit it on the music title at the level options
Nice music =)
Bjarni: if you use a .j2b file for music, you aren’t required to type the .j2b extension behind the file, but if you want to use some other file type as music you have to type “music.s3m” or “music.it” in the level editor
(replace the word music with the name of the file)
I liked this [I am referring to all 5 parts in this here review.] upload. And I’m sorry that you’re leaving. Hope you come back again!
The five parts contain Jazz1-accurate songs, which are handy when creating levels themed with JJ1. No glitchy spots, no messed up instruments, this pack[s]‘s got it all! However, some very minute [very much so] deviationson notes does occur, but not too badly. A good addition to the J2O community.
