A little harder JJ1 trivia.
1. What's relation between some of Marbelara's and Sluggion's enemies?
2. What effect have warps on invincibility? 3. How many levels are in HH94? 4. What JJ1 guns were remade in JJ2? 5. How JJ1 beta's HUD varies from finished JJ1's? 6. What's Megairbase shaped like? 7. How many enemy-less levels can an episode have at the most? 8. Which episode had first 15 second bonus level? 9. HH94 has some enemies ripped from other episodes: Sprite of one enemy remains unchanged. Say at what time it appears: Day/Evening/Night. Sprite of another enemy changed, but behavior remains. Say at what time it appears: Day/Evening/Night. Another foe changed its behavior and sprite, yet still manages to look like ripoff from another enemy. Say at what time it appears: Day/Evening/Night. 10. What pre-Jazz game was supposed to run on similar to Jazz's engine? |

[3] 6. What's Megairbase shaped like? [Like a horizontal rocket?]

1. The sluggion dragoons bear a resemblance to the Marbelara dragons in looks and behaviour, and both lose parts of their body when shot before dying.
2. They turn it off. 3. Three. Five if you count the bonus levels. 4. Launcher, toaster, RF, TNT and blaster. In other words: all JJ1 guns. 5. Wooga wagga. 6. A rectangular looking question mark. 7. One. Four if you count bonus levels. 8. Seven I think. Although five had one with a very short starting time too, but it was longer than 15 seconds. 9. Skiing turtle, day. Snow hands, night. Snow monkeys, evening. 10. Battery Check? ;-P

1. The dragon enemy thingies look like eachother.. I faintly remember one of the text files saying they were related, though that might be with another enemy.
2. They disable it, I think... there were very few jj1 levels with warps. 3. I think it was three and one bonus level. 4. Blaster, bouncer, toaster, RF missile, TNT. 5. Beats me. 6. No clue. 7. Well, theoraticaly all of them can be enemy-less. I wouldn't know how many actualy are. 8. I wouldn't know. 9. Err... Ski turtle, day; evil hand thingy, night; snow monkey, evening. 10. Battery Check? Only thing that comes to mind.

Ok. Seven, I have no idea, and I'm not sure what you mean by eight. |

Violet gets 5/10. No, unlike I said, it's not 6/10. My mistake.
In 8, you must name episode which had bonus level with 15 seconds for first. Or something. Plus, I don't mean that kind of relation in 1 as most of you posted. Last edited by cooba; Nov 18, 2004 at 11:42 AM. |

4. Toaster. Doesn't act anything like the Blaster anymore. Launcher. Renamed Bouncer, much small and different movement. RF missiles fly in a less horizontal angle in JJ2. TNT doesn't destroy all enemies on the screen in JJ2. 6. A question mark?

1. What's relation between some of Marbelara's and Sluggion's enemies?
A: Read the Manual. It says Dragoons and Drageens are cousins! They both behave the same, hence the relation. 2. What effect have warps on invincibility? A: I've read above that warps disables invincibility, but... Once you get out of a warp you flash red for a few seconds: invincibility! 3. How many levels are in HH94? A: 3 regular levels and 3 bonus levels, a total of 6. NO SECRET LEVEL whatsoever, that's HH95. 4. What JJ1 guns were remade in JJ2? A: Blaster, Launcher, RF are really remade. TNT may count too, but it's radius is shrunk. 5. How JJ1 beta's HUD varies from finished JJ1's? A: The JJ1 Beta HUD is blue with a diamond motif. The final is all metal 6. What's Megairbase shaped like? A: A squared-off question mark. 7. How many enemy-less levels can an episode have at the most? A: Only 1: the secret level, 2 if you count the Guardian level. On a side note, the Industrius secret level has turtlettes crawling all over... 8. Which episode had first 15 second bonus level? A: That would be Episode 3: Rabbit's Revenge. 9. HH94 has some enemies ripped from other episodes: Sprite of one enemy remains unchanged. Say at what time it appears: Day/Evening/Night. A: Ski turtle, at Day. Sprite of another enemy changed, but behavior remains. Say at what time it appears: Day/Evening/Night. A: Grabbing Hands from Stonar, at night. (Color change) Another foe changed its behavior and sprite, yet still manages to look like ripoff from another enemy. Say at what time it appears: Day/Evening/Night. A: The monkey from Raneforus, at evening. (Color and sprite edit, stops at random times while the orginal keeps running) 10. What pre-Jazz game was supposed to run on similar to Jazz's engine? A: My guess would be Halloween Harry from Apogee. I could be wrong tho, it's just a wild guess ![]() - JelZe GoldRabbit =:3 Last edited by JelZe GoldRabbit; Nov 18, 2004 at 11:55 AM. JelZe gets 5/10. Anyway, it's time to end, unfortunately. I will strike back with a bit of new questions soon. =)
1. What's relation between some of Marbelara's and Sluggion's enemies? Brothership. 2. What effect have warps on invincibility? They disable it. 3. How many levels are in HH94? Seven. Three normal, three bonus, AND a secret level in level 1. 4. What JJ1 guns were remade in JJ2? All of them, except TNT's radius is way smaller indeed. For those wondering why I didn't say that Toaster's effect is changed, play JJ2 OEM. 5. How JJ1 beta's HUD varies from finished JJ1's? Beta's is bluish and has diamond-esque pattern. Final JJ1 had all metal. 6. What's Megairbase shaped like? Rectangular question mark. 7. How many enemy-less levels can an episode have at the most? Two. 8. Which episode had first 15 second bonus level? Gene Machine. 9. HH94 has some enemies ripped from other episodes: Sprite of one enemy remains unchanged. Ski Turtle. Sprite of another enemy changed, but behavior remains. Stonar Zombie Hands. Another foe changed its behavior and sprite, yet still manages to look like ripoff from another enemy. Raneforus SUX monkey. 10. What pre-Jazz game was supposed to run on similar to Jazz's engine? Vertigo. Here comes the new pile of sux. X( 1. What's the first thing implemented in J1CS after it was finished? 2. Why Jungrock boss gives you "20%"? 3. In episodes A-C, one creature has a name you can find somewhere. What planet it appears on? 4. How many planets have enemies with Sparks' behavior? 5. How Toaster pickup's sprite was shaped like in JJ1 beta? Last edited by cooba; Nov 18, 2004 at 12:13 PM. |

Nearby Bonus Gem in level 1, there's a spring to the right. Go to it, crouch, and use TNT. And have fun. ;(

The secret level you mentioned does exist however, at the spot you mentioned (never knew that), and one wonders how to ever find out it's there without a manual. Speaking of manuals, where did you fiends get a manual that describes every enemy in the game? Mine doesn't have that, just two pages with a few pictures of enemies. Bah >(

Guys, just to let you know, Jazz 1 has a manual file called "manual.doc", which briefly describes every enemy of Episode 1 to 6. Yes, it did mention Dragoons and Drageens were brothers.
