Hey everyone,

After some hours of study and research, I’ve made the following selection for next years tournament. This is just an initial version of the mappool, it’s not sure that this is going to be used during the next tournament. So, if you don’t like it for some reason, or you like to see a few levels removed/changed/added, you’re free to empty your heart here. I’m always open for innovations and suggestions, just so you know.
After I think that everyone is more or less satisfied with the list, I’ll compile the whole pack, which will be available for download once the JJ2WC website is ready, which should be somewhere during November. Ah well, let’s show the list, shall we?

As you can see, the TeamBattle level list isn’t yet completed, mainly because of no-one took the time to send in good TB levels or give good suggestions. If no-one gives me more suggestions, I’ll just stuck to these 8 (almost everything made by OLC) or I’ll convert a few popular Battle Levels (think of E. Prime, Garden Brawl, etc.) to TeamBattle.

Tournament Dates
Here follows a small list of all the dates which are going to be of importance for the upcoming tournaments. Write them down in your agenda’s, because when you’re too late, you’re too late.

JJ2WC Clan Cup 3 – Signup - November 26th, 2005

The website will be accessible soon, I think during the first half of November. I hope before the Duellist Tournament starts.

First Strike and E. Prime for Team Battle levels?

And I dislike Base Construction being in the list. The level as it is now isn't much of a CTF as a level using a new gametype, which is quite messy anyway.

It's more like normal CTF than a level with a Jail...

ChippieBW: Keep in mind that almost all of the TB levels need to be fixed so they don't cause problems when hosted (see Team Battle link in sig).

If my Battle Game XC level is going to be considered, I should probably edit it so that the copters and the RFs always respawn. If only there was a sure-fire way to check and prevent this...

About DnC, I don't think keeping the jail in would be that much of a problem. I'll admit that a JDC event wasn't the best place to test the middle crate. But with a little use of teamchat, it can be used more strategically (like to prevent someone from scoring if timed just right), and overall it can slightly reduce base camping. And if you're not sure where trigger 31 resets, just open up the level in JCS and see for yourself.

But if enough people are too scared of the jail and can't bear to wait longer than half a minute, I could consider making a version without the crate. This reminds me of how SBv2 wasn't supposed to become more popular than the JailCTF version, so you can guess that I would be reluctant to make this edit.

DnC requires a different form of team flag-capture strategy, other than the kind you see in JE or Dawn of Combat, I 'think'.

Also I don't really enjoy that Semi and JE made it in the mappool yet again. If I were you I'd use Santranigus V instead of JE. Both levels appear to have a similar layout and people tend to use there tacticts, which they also use in JE. As for Semi, you could also make an experiment and replace it with darksemi Surreal Landscapes.

A question, what is zerox factory? First I thought it was zaitox, but it somehow didnt feel right
Havent played angelic warfare as well, and rags level, but the rest, thumbs up mainly.

Zerox Factory is a JB level by Blackraptor made using 7th Lava Fall.

I know all levels from the mappool, but it doesn't mean I like all of them ;_;
However, I don't really care about levels.

My suggestion for Chip is that he could add to site the archive from previous seasions ( JJ2WC I and II ), like it's done for example at JDC site. I think there are still people who remembers the scores/teams from every clanwar ;p Informations about matches are also at JCF, so it won't be hard to find them

Ohyes, make sbv2 teambattle. It's one of my favourite battle-levels^^

Also, will there only be one clan championchip including teambattle and CTF mixed?;o Or, is it just that they take place at the very same time?
