1st round matchup
I think the tightest game will be Sweden vs Belgium.
Poland vs Israel should own too. One question though, do you think slovenia will get pwned harder by Finland, or will the italians get ravaged even more by the Dutch? ohh and, this is the message from the organisers: There has been now... a slight change... Every team faces every team once, not twice, which would take too long. The first round pairs are as follows: Australia - United Kingdom (Sat 17th, 14.00 GMT) Belgium - Sweden (Sat 17th, 15.00 GMT) Finland - Slovenia (Sat 17th, 16.00 GMT) Germany - Romania (Sat 17th, 17.00 GMT) Israel - Poland (Sat 17th, 18.00 GMT) Italy - Netherlands (Sat 17th, 19.00 GMT) -The host must log the match, that goes for all matches. (Carrotade is recommended) -If the above times don't work, u may postpone your matches, but really try you best to play them before sunday evening, will ya? -Anyone both teams can agree on may host the matches. Official hosts include me, Sasik and Vegito (Though he doesn't seem too motivated.) -Each match is best out of 3 rounds (which are to 5 points, each!). Teams can agree on which team chooses their level in the first round and which in the second. If there are disagreements, the alphabetically first team chooses first. The third round may be played in any mappool level both teams can agree on. Again, if there's no agreement, it will be played in a standard level, such as Semi, BBlair or JE. -Whichever team is blue in the first round will be red in the second. The third round team colors may be agreed on. If agreement isn't made, the team that has the worse score difference till then may choose their team color.

I'll already have to postpone the match from the Netherlands if I can't get anyone else to play.
I won't be online pretty much the entire saturday evening, because of a birthday. Not an unusual birthday either, someone turns 50. I already agreed at going there, so they expect me. (So maybe DS, Chiyu and Ani can play? =P Or Quickz, whatever. I'll make sure the Dutchies are notified about my problem.) SORRY FOR PUTTING YOU LAST QUICKZ BUT I LOVE YOU TOO! - |

That's too bad Veg. Oh but do have a good time.
Thanks a lot for 'replacing yourself' anyways, lol. :P |

My predictions :
Australia - United Kingdom - won't be played Belgium - Sweden - If Sweden shows up , it will be interesting game Finland - Slovenia - Finland Germany - Romania - Won't be played Italy - Netherlands - I'd bet on The Netherlands but Italy's rossters have improved a lot lately so it might be very interesting game |

good morning
my predictions (assuming all matches are played): Australia - United Kingdom United Kingdom Belgium - Sweden Belgium Finland - Slovenia Finland Germany - Romania Germany Israel - Poland Poland Italy - Netherlands Netherlands edit: we don't get it, though... does this work like Chippie's JJ2WC III? if one team wins by 5-4 then losses by 5-1, then a third, tie-breaker round is played? if one team wins both rounds then a third round is not needed, right? this is what "best of three levels" means, anyways. uhm ya exactly, if one team wins in 2 rounds, is the 3rd needed?
ohh and, why is every1 betting against us? I mean, team slovenia is like: hell yeah!

Just so you guys know, i still havent been able to contact any1 from team slovenia, so the way things stand now, we won't make it...
Hopefully that will change by 4 pm GMT. Another question, is 4pm GMT 5pm CET or 3 pm CET?

Australia - United Kingdom: United Kingdom
Belgium - Sweden: Belgium Finland - Slovenia: Finland Germany - Romania: Germany Israel - Poland: Poland Italy - Netherlands: Netherlands This would be the most logical, but maybe there will be some surprises. |

Rep, there's already a site for that...
It will be finished momentarily... @ Few people: When it's best of three rounds, it means rounds, not scores. @ Stijn: Would you mind not closing my threads about this when I'm the cup admin? I'd pretty much appreciate it. @ PJ: Yes, that's better, thank you. Post match results here, thanks. Last edited by Raven aka StL; Feb 17, 2007 at 07:41 AM. |

![]() ![]() Teams: ![]() ![]() 1st Round: Map: Bloodbunny's Lair Host: ![]() Score: ![]() ![]() Well, Israel chose BBlair. From the start it was really bad game for us. We did many stupid mistakes + also some lags and 3hk's (especially for Mav) did what they always do ![]() 2nd Round: Map: Happy Semiconductor CTF Host: ![]() Score: ![]() ![]() Again, we were losing at the beginning but then made nice comeback and won. Semi was our choice, btw. 3rd Round: Map: Diamondus Warzone Host: ![]() Score: ![]() ![]() We wanted to do other level, but R3p insisted to play DW, so we agreed. It looks like we were just better and won without many problems. Overall: ![]() ![]() GG I must say. The games were quite exciting. Also, I'd like to thank my team for nice victory. GJ. Thanks goes too to DS for hosting all games, personally I didn't have any problems with the server, though. However, overall it's quite disappointing that only one match were played today. I hope you will announce the pairs for the next round asap, Emp.

Ugh, I hate multireplying, but what's a dood to do...
@ Stijn: Never mind, good idea. :/ @ Hatebreed: If Ionut can't play tomorrow (18th Feb), you get a forfeit win. @ Rep: I chose the first round draw to be this weekend, for testing purposes, that's why it is how it is. The next draw will be on monday and will last for that week. Also, every team will face every team, so it hardly matters did you face Poland now or on round 9. The teams were chosen by random anyway, by a program. @ Sasik: Yes, the next round draw will be on monday and will last for the week or till all games have been played (and forfeit wins given). Question! : Should there be CTF events, where the country of every participating player gets about 20 % as many points as a team gets for a ctf match win? (with max: 3 players / country, maybe?) Just a wicked idea, answer ![]() Newsflash! -point system- (which can be changed later...) -CTF match win: 5 points -CTF match loss: 1 point -CTF match forfeit win: 3 points (?) (-CTF event win: 1 point / player [max 3 players / country]) (?) EDIT: And way to go Poland. With that you've momentarily seized the lead. :P |

Rather like this: 1 Match win = Forfeit win = 3 points. 1 Round won in a match = 1 point. 1 Match loss = 0 points.

@HB & Emp: You should try to organize that game (Germany vs Romania). Like the others one too. Emp simply said about the pairs too late. Give people time to play one game.

ok Israel's comments for the match vs. Poland
1st round in BBLAIR: everything went perfect, just like we used to pwn few years ago. 5-0 2nd round in Semi: we were leading by 3-0 (untill that point we've already had an overall 8-0 lead!). can't even explain in words how (-) we are, the match simply ran out of our hands. with JJ2WC rules we would've won, too. 3-5 3rd round in DW: well we were already broken and things just didn't go our way. we roasted them a lot more times but didn't even manage to get on the right timing and score even one point. 0-5 overall those were really nice, though quite disappointing games. gj for the poles and good luck in the future! we'll hopefully keep improving, untill we reach the performance level of the first and half of the second round without messing things up (we should've won both rounds by 5-0 ;|) Last edited by R3ptile; Feb 18, 2007 at 03:54 AM. |

I think it's a good idea to make scoring rules before the tourney starts.
