It is simple tileset makers hell.
1 point because you converted tileset+zipped.
1 point because i like few tiles of that all:
Animated moving platforms, which were probably stealed.
Damn!Another crappy/creepy tileset with terrible graphics, failed pallete and BUBO DRAGONS!!!
Shame that the level sucks. :/
The tileset idea is pretty awesome
.bmp files are about as big as images can possibly get. There is no possible way it would not be simpler to build the tileset yourself and upload it with the .zip, rather than forcing people to download .bmp’s.
Having to build the tileset myself was a bit annoying as I have never used the Build feature in JCS before but I then managed to figure out how to use it. But enough about that, here’s the review.
EYECANDY
The eyecandy here is very original and something I have never seen before. The whole level is in the form of a Polish Tractor engine called the Ursus C-360 I guess. Never heard of it.
Everything looks really good and nothing looks repetitive. Though it was hard to see what you can walk on.
8/10
GAMEPLAY
However, while this level does have excellent eyecandy, the size is far too small, it is only 40 × 30.
The whole level is far too easy to navigate, you can find all the Power-Ups and ammo easily.
3/10
WEAPONS & ITEM PLACEMENT
There are 5 PUs here, which is a bit much for a level of this size. The ammo grouping is far too big. You could easily get 50 ammo of all 5 weapons here. Aside from loads of ammo, there are 18 pieces of food which can start a Sugar Rush as these can be collected too easily.
There are 2 Carrots here, one “+1 Carrot” and one “Full NRG Carrot” which is too much for this level meaning that you could gain full health too quickly and easily.
2/10
TOTAL = 13/30
OVERALL MARK = 13 / 3 = 4.33 (RECURRING)
ROUNDED TO 4.3
DOWNLOAD?
While the level is not that great, I do think it would be worth checking out the tileset. So, I say YES for checking out the tileset, but unfortunately, NO for the level itself.
This game can’t be played!
I enter the game and the controles dosen’t work! This game must be fixed!
—. —-. ___
No. Thats all i can say
EDIT: Jazz][ remix huh ? By hearing that it sounds like nothing compared to jj2
No offence but this song needs cleaning.
Will you stop with the relaxing/slow music. I almost didn’t recconize this one.
The samples were out of time and it was just as boringly slow as your diamondus ‘remix’. Despite a few okay samples this isn’t a good song for you to download. Starting from 10 the results are:
Tempo: -3
All samples: -1.5 (for being out of time) +1 (for one sample) -2 ( some samples were anyoyying)
Drums: -3 (almost n/a)
Loudness: +2.5 (suitable but quite)
Length of song: -2 (too slow)
Suitable song: Dunno (n/a)
Conclusion: Like diamondus, a few improvements will do. Download recommendation: Not really
That bird sample gets on my nerves, also the song sounds as if it were made for the very first games. Bird sample removal, faster song improvments, rhythm and better samples (not the bird samples) would probably get you a more positive mark. From 10, the results are:
Bird samples: -4
Other samples:-3
Relaxing award: +3.5
Rhythm: -3
Suitable song: + 3 for now
Tempo:-3
Conclusion: 3.5 (i know you can improve that song and i hope you do. I hope the rating didn’t discourage you.)
Download reccommendation? Unless you can take this, the song isn’t really something to listen to often. But still relaxing.
This is the Jungrock theme? Wow, it certainly has changed! I’ll give it a very modest 3 only because giving something a “1” suggests that there was little or nothing at all done to remix the song. This is not the case.
Strangely enough, the down-tempo works in this case. A few more changes in the instruments, and you have a different song. It was odd, and I wouldn’t listen to it because of its state of uninteresting-ness, which is why I wouldn’t have rated it higher.
It’s too slow. Won’t really fit in jj2 or 1. Only if there was some speech in the game like on megaman or something or if there is a very quite place. For now, this isn’t for my progs.
(Unsupported rating (3) removal. Try going into a little more detail, and maybe mention whatever positive aspects the upload has that saved it from a 1. ~Violet)
I know this is your first remix but, THIS SONG IS A MESS! That backround, well sound is chaotic, as the song says. Lets just hope i won’t find fast mess like this again.
(Unsupported rating (1) removal. Just saying the file is messy and chaotic is probably not enough to support so low a rating. ~Violet)
Won’t get this… This sounds weird, reading comments from other users…Won’t get it… So I think I won’t rate this.
If you want a completely dead version of JJ1 Song 6 (It would be surprising if you would) this would be no1 to download. This doesn’t make you fall to sleep in a relaxing way, this will make you sleep in a ‘let me kill myself/why am I listening to this ****’ way.
A song shouldn’t use only 2 samples.
i think the reason why there are not many reviews is that this song is so boring it puts the reviewers to sleep!!! this song is mostly repetitive patterns so it gives the sleepy feeling…
download recomend: if you want to put some1 to sleep or have troubbles sleeping ..ye..zzz….
Introduction:
. . .the single-most pathetic arrangement of Dreempipes this site has ever known.
Song Analysis:
Dreempipes, sped up, and almost all samples changed to a trumpetty thing. That’s about it. Trust me, it’s not a pretty sight. It’s off-key and then some.
Sample Analysis:
No. The samples do not work with this sample-swap/tempo-increase arrangement.
Final Analysis:
Horrible. Simply horrible.
Introduction:
Diamondus slowed down to a crawl with some birdy samples added in just for fun.
Song Analysis:
Nothing much to say about this song, considering it’s just Diamondus at 1/5 its normal tempo.
Sample Analysis:
I hate the bird samples. I don’t care much for the rest of the samples, either. But they work well enough.
Final Analysis:
Eh. . . It’s okay, but it’s just a sample-swap/tempo-drop. . .
Introduction:
Slugion being reduntant to the first syllable of its name. And not in a good way.
Song Analysis:
At this slow tempo, the song sounds broken and damaged. More so than the common S3M rips would have you figure.
Sample Analysis:
Oh god, my ears!! No! The samples do not work for this song! Period!
Final Analysis:
Please don’t ever make these again. Thank you.
