Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Online

This review has been long overdue. But since I’m turning 30 in a couple of hours, my childhood, teenage and college memories were flashing before my eyes.

The joyful memories of playing these amazing, handcrafted and stunning levels for the first time oh so many years ago was amongst them. After installing Jazz2 again (and a few shots) I decided to replay these majestic levels.

The layout is simply amazing and a joy to play. It plays fluid and has an excellent difficulty level; Something I find to be horribly overlooked in most people’s attempts. SPLASH establishes himself as a solid designer with an eye for the creative, slightly offbeat designs. Placements are excellent, sound and thematically fitting. I love the use of the masts in the beach level.

Hero4Hire is one of my favorite levelpacks and one of SPLASH’s best from the day. It deserves this 9 through and through.These highly prolific levels are the epitome of creativity and turning the meta of using these tilesets upside down. The Beatles made Sergeant Pepper. SPLASH made Hero4Hire.

This episode is brilliant, definitely an example of thinking out of the box if compared to other levels from the same time. What’s kinda creepy is that these were made at the same time I’d made my very first levels. Cool huh? Download now.

I like it. It can be useful.

Ugh. One of the levels I played in 2002 and sadly never reviewed until now (2004). Let me just say the eyecandy is brilliant and I’ve always loved it. The layout is alright but has a few annoying dead ends. Placement is alright. Music is pretty good, was one of my favorite tunes in 2002. Originality is there ,especially with eyecandy. A few stuff could’ve been one-wayed..
Layout/Gameplay: 7.5
Eyecandy: 9.2
Placement of stuff: 7.7
Originality: 8.2
Overall (not an average): 8.5
Final Rating: 8.22, +0.3 for teh rux music. 8.5, download reccomendation. It’s 4:10am, so sorry for the review suxness and shortness.

Eyecandy: very good – eyecandy here is excellent. i like the background layers, and layer 5 here alot. layer 4 looks nice too, and tileset was used in the end, and i like it.

Gameplay: nice.. navigating is fine, and i don’t have any problems with it. ;-p

Placement:good.. ammo is placed nicely. i really like it. i like the creativity in ammo placement in this lvl.

Overall:Very cool battle level, i have no complaints. download recommedation. this level is very good.

Eh… Bjarni Cool, this is a race. There is not supposed to be any hurt events or enemies in race levels…

well here is my review!!!

Eyecandy:
Basic!!! The eyecandy was not really good but also not bad. There where some tilebugs.

Enemy placement:
Okay!!! It was not really great but bad no. There are a lot of enemies but not to much.

Item placement:
Fine!!! There is one type of ammo with a powerup and a lot of food.

Other:
Okay!!! i didn`t had the problem with that water because i play on 16 bit.
threre is a lot to do but it could be better.

I don’t know about that SNES-GAME, but that’s not important. Well lets see…

Well, for the REAL lovers of DBZ is this a GREAT tileset to make LVL’S!
I don’t say, i don’t like it, but where i’m living, they where busy with MAJIN BUU, but then, they began from the beginning of DBZ!
When this happened, i liked DBZ not so much as first… But that’s an other story!
Well, i give you an 7.7 for this good tileset! Well done and keep it up!

This is a good level but it’s very small for a single level. Eyecandy is good, and it’s original. Download rec.

It’s good, but it’s very very hard. That’s all I have to say :-p Eyecandy is awesome, and everything is original.

some things level to littel aantal poor creation funny and the tileset not good bud to not bad a and a 5 because pokemon is funny wil jou to make ther 1 with a medabots tileset?[total a 5.7

I hate POKEMON cartoons. BUT the level is orriginal (in tiles)and ONLY.
wining WHY did it had to be POKEMON?

Funny and also very coooooooooooollllllll!!!
But, goten it is not worth a 10.

The tielset use and eyecandy in the first level was AMAZING. It was so ****ing cool! The lenght of the level, was to short. I notice this in most of your levels splash, they are just to short. Anyways, enemy placement was avr. and goodie placement was maybe a bit below avrage.

Second level. Water kinda looked crappy here, and hard to see. Backround was boring, and eyecandy not to intense. Overall: First level=9, second level=6.5
