@Risp: No, my plan is based off the many crazy antics of Dragonball Z and Yu-Gi-Oh that I love so much (and hated by everyone else XP).
L_G reaches into his pocket to get his Yu-Gi-Oh deck, but realizes he left it back on the old interceptor when he was taken away by Tangent. "Darnit," he grumbles. "Oh well, there's more than one way to skin a cat, as they say...I think it's time to pay the Kais a visit..."
Jeanie runs up to L_G and says, "The Interceptor II is finished!"
"...Excellent."
Goku, Trunks, and Bulla have been revived!
Elsewhere, Pan neats the snot out of some punks trying to mug an old lady.

<i>I hate to say this, but I never moved the interceptor. It's insides were gutted by the protal, but it is still mostly intact. All I mainly did is lock you out of it. Your deck is probably still on the moon, next to the magic amplifier (which Tangent shut down when he left), with it's cards scattered all over the moon. Not as if it will do you much good.</i>

<i>Hey risp, can I ask what kind of electrical generator is hooked up to the pylon?
And another thing, when a portal is attempted to be ripped, how does the Pylon counteract this? Does it add more electricicity if more portals are attempted to be ripped?</i>
"Hey Diesel..." Xion says, resting his hand on Diesel's shoulder. Diesel jumps. "Oh, I'm sorry. Did I startle you?"
"No..." Diesel says, yawning. "I was merely sleeping."
"Ah." Xion says. "Well, I've been thinking about how to take down that Pylon of Tangent's. Could you please bring up the pylon room on cam?" Diesel nods, and brings up a view of the pylon room.

I think you misunderstood. When the Interceptor was attacked, it was in Animenia. Martin attacked, and since he could eliminate summoned monsters L_G didn't think to bring his deck, then he left it behind when Tangent brought both of them back to the dimension we started in. I think. Besides, why use the cards when the actual monsters are right here?
L_G asks Jeanie to fetch him a map of the Shadow Realm. "Uh, we don't have a map...the Shadow Realm is constantly shifting. However, I can tell you that Snake Road is due Unger," she says.
"Straight up?" asks L_G. Jeanie nods.
"Well in that case, Snake Road, here I come!" L_G flies into the dark sky, unsure of what to look for...maybe he should of asked for directions.

Risp_old
Mar 15, 2004, 04:01 PM
<i>Oops. I didn't notice.
The power generator the pylon is hooked up to is very powerful. A large portion of the moon the base is on was hollowed from it, and it draws energy from three contained black holes. If more portals are opened, it uses up more of it's power. Most of the power, however, are sent to it's energy grids for storage for a very spirited attempt of entering. The pylon does not attempt to counteract portals, as I already said. Simply, any matter is shot back to it's point of origin. While all plansewalkers can just shrug this away in small amounts, the sheer power it uses to do this is overwhelming. I suppose you could overpower the pylon, but only if you have some contained black holes of your own and you don't mind opening huge portals that would end up sucking a universe or two into anther plane from the sheer energy used.</i>
Lem_Gambino
Mar 15, 2004, 04:45 PM
Sounds like fun.:p j/k
If the black holes collapsed, would the pylon lose power and shut down, or would some weird antimatter thingy happen?
Risp_old
Mar 15, 2004, 04:49 PM
<i>If one of the black holes breaks containment, there are systems in place that trick the universe into thinking the black hole belongs in another plane, so the black hole is ejected. The pylon could still work, as it would still have power from the other 'holes. Even if all the 'holes were ejected, the energy grid has enough power to run the pylon for a while. However, the chances of that happening are slim. So slim if you narrate one happening I will narrate you into suddenly flying the interceptor into a star and getting killed.</i>

"Really? Not like your previous attempts?" Diesel says, sarcastically. Xion nods confidently. "Okay then, genious. Let's hear it."
"You know how the pylon only stops matter from transversing through the antimatter portals?" Xion starts. "Well, I noticed something with the cameras. Seeing as we can still control them from here, and still get a picture, we can drop the pylon from here with a huge Antimatter explosion. All I have to do is make a tiny rip inside of the pylon and close it as soon as it opens. As soon as the antimatter hits the air, KABLAMO!" Xion flings his arms out wildly to demonstrate a large explosion. "No more pylon, free planeswalking, and we can take down that ba..." Xion stops himself short to find Tia walk into the room. "Tia! How'd you get here?" Malta follows behind her.
"We decided to come and help!" Tia says with a smile. "We met up with a local who bought something from Diesel in the Black market, and he had no idea how to work it. We figured it out and came to this weird place. We kinda closed up shop for this, but this is what we do best!" Xion trembles with excitement.
"Th...Thank you." Xion says, teary. Xion hugs Tia and Malta cheerfully. Malta tries to push her way out of the hug while Tia hugs back. Malta escapes and Xion is crying on Tia's shoulder.
"We heard your plan..." Malta says. "We would help with it but seemingly since we don't have planeswalking abilities, just a telepipe that we used..." Xion pokes his head up, and goes over to the computer. Xion gets two chips, the same chips that gave Xion and Diesel their abilities, and offers them to Malta and Tia.
"Put these in your ears, like earrings." Xion explains. "You two can sleep to learn some incredibly great abilities...some that you didn't even know you could learn." Xion smirks with a half-evil smile.
Risp_old
Mar 15, 2004, 05:07 PM
<i>I see two flaws with that plan. First, the anti-matter must explode before it is ejected. That would be a race for time, and the universe has quick reactions. Second, it gives me no warning, and thus I cannot turn the pylon off. When you destroy the pylon you would also rip the universe to shreds. And if you go in, you would get yourself killed very quickly and irreversibly. So, it would just prevent plansewalking in another, more lethal, way.</i>

"WHAT?! HE'S DEAD?!?!?" exclaims a distressed Pan. She just got the bad news from her grandmother, Chi-Chi.
"I'm afraid so, dear," says a sad Chi-Chi.
Pan hung her head in sadness. The one person she looked up to, the one person that took it upon himself to train her in the Martial Arts...was gone. "Can-Can he be revived...with the Dragonballs?"
Chi Chi shook her head. The Eternal Dragon couldn't grant the same wish twice, as Goku died once, twice, three times before.
"No...NOOO~!!!!" shouted Pan, unable to control her emotions. Those said emotions were enough to give her a signifigant power boost, so much that everyone around the house (and the block) could feel it.
Pan has become a Hyper Saiyan 1!!!
Pan reverts back to her original self...
"What...on earth?!" says a shocked Chi Chi. She was certainly shocked to see her husband and two sons go Super Saiyan, but this...this was unbelieveable!
"Hey, What's everyone crying about in here?"
Pan and Chi Chi rush to the front door. There stood Goku, alive and well. He promptly recieved a gigantic hug from both his wife and granddaughter.
"You're...You're alive! Again!" stammers Chi Chi.
"We've missed you so much!" says an overjoyed Pan.
"What? I was only gone for a few days...Speaking of which, what's for dinner?"
"That's our Goku!" the girls say, laughing.
* * *
It was just a peaceful day in West City. It was a bright, sunny day, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Everything was quite normal.
"AIIEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"
Until just now, that is.
Something had definitely spooked Videl, Pan's mother and daughter of the so-called "World Champion", Hercule. That something was a pink blob resembling a piece of chewed-up bubble gum, oozing frevorently around the room, obviously trying to get away from Videl's screaming; it seemed more afraid of her than she was afraid of it (of course, I could be wrong).
"Mama, what's going on?" says Pan as she entered her parents' bedroom. Videl was still wearing her nightgown, and hanging from the ceiling light. "Just...Just look!" stammers Videl, pointing at the blob oozing around the floor. "Catch that thing and get rid of it, will you please?!"
Pan winks at her frightened mother. "Don't worry, I'm all over it!"
And so the chase begins...cue Tom and Jerry chase music.

<i>I already went over this, Xion. If the pylon is destroyed when it is still on it will more or less break the universe. And, thinking about it, there would no longer be any walls between the torn plane and others, so the plane the pylon used to be on would start to suck in other planes that (ironically) don't have the equivalent of a pylon themselves. "Xion..." Malta approaches Xion from behind, whom is working on his compuer. Xion turns his head twoard Malta, silently. "I've been thinking. Perhaps destroying the pylon wouldn't be such a hot idea."
"Why is that?" Xion looks at malta with a confused look.
"Well, Diesel told me how the pylon works, and I think that destroying it would be very bad." Malta sits on the arm of Xion's chair. "The pylon works by increasing the resession of antimatter, and if we destroy it without neutralization, that entire force goes down the drain. That plane, in essence, become a big vat of antimatter, worse than just merely blocking the plane. So in essence you would be the one breaking the planeswalker's code by destroying it."
Xion sighs under his breath and mumbles "You're right." Xion looks up at Malta. "But I think that there may be another way to destroy the pylon." Malta now has the confused look that Xion had moments ago. "Since we cannot destroy the portal, we can destroy the energy source, or merely sever the connection. The pylon cannot work without energy, now can it?" Malta shakes her head. "Exactly. We sever the connection, the Pylon goes offline safely, and we step in without Tangent having a shadow of a clue as to what the h-" Xion is interrupted by Tia, rushing in.

Xion's got a point there, Risp. If the power sources are gone, then pylon won't function. I suggest putting extra guards around the power grids (or the massive electrical socket that the pylon happens to be plugged into, if there is one).>=)
Risp_old

<i>Well, guards won't help if Xion finds out a way to blow up black holes with antimatter. Xion rips himself a portal and watches the computer monitor. "Come on...one shot at this..." Within a nanosecond, a bright flash hits the screen. The power cord to the Pylon has been severed near the portals, but is still close enough to create a connection. "Blast!" Xion shouts, making Rach jump. Xion pets rach to calm her down. Xion
Mar 17, 2004, 04:30 PM
<i>Oh, so there's just a battery somewhere in the pylon itself keeping it running? Can't kill it without killing the pylon and the plane, so ncd. Just gotta keep your flunkies from fixing the wire.</i>
Xion sees the repair crew approach the broken piece of the wire with a battery in-hand. Xion, with his portal still open, aims. *ZIP* The crew member with the battery begins to waver. Xion has just ripped a plane in the crew member's temple in a quick nanosecond of a plane rip. Xion aims again...*ZIP* A large amount of crew members and the wire get snipped in two, again. The wire begins to slip down into the contained black holes.

<i>A nanosecond is too slow. You need to do it in a fraction of a nanosecond. And, before you say it, you can't. To do it you would need the reaction times to do stuff like catch bullets and dodge lasers, the speed to outrun said bullets and get to the owners of said lasers before they fire, and the resistance to be able to withstand catching on fire from air resistance and surviving your own sonic booms. And then you need to take into account the time it takes to go through a portal. If you could do all that, I do not see why you are not attacking million upon millions of times per turn.</i>

I hereby claim this page in the name of the War Tavern.
-It's computer system is isolated from the mainframe, so the only way to get a virus in it would be to walk up to it, install the virus (though it has no floppy drive, so instead code the virus), and hope the autodefensed don't kill you beforehand. And also hope the virus is better than the Pylon's antivirus systems. So, yes.
-It has a layer of insulative material, and it's internal power serves as a serge protector. So, yes.
-It is also waterproof. So, yes.
-The only way to create extreme heat or cold around it reliably is to use magic. And Xion annoyed me to give it defenses against magic. So, yes.
-Yes.
The best way to take it out would be to get rid of all it's defenses and damage it enough for an electrician to get in and shut it off from the inside.</i>

Xion rolls over in his sleep with a groan. "Why can't I sleep..." Xion mumbles, looking at the clock. "Two in the morning..." Xion looks down at the floor to see Rach asleep. "While everybody else in the complex sleeps." Xion gets up, wanders around, and stares out the window. "I guess I'm not completely used to this new shell, it seems." Xion says, followed by a sigh. Xion glances at the computer to see the repair crew fixing the broken power cord. Xion digs in his pocket for a small red flask. Xion pours the liquid inside, ruby red, into a cup of coffee like creamer. Xion sips the coffee as he watches the flunkies fix the cord, and the Pylon itself. "Seemingly, the communications terminal was uneffected. Just some damage to the control panel. Easily fixed, I assume." Xion sips his coffee again, and sits back in his chair. Tia walks into the room rubbing her eyes. "Can't sleep?" Xion says to Tia, and she nods silently. "Well, it seems like my little siege did nothing to Tangent." Xion points to the computer with his coffee.
"You what?" Tia says, still half-asleep. "I'm not quite sure I understood you correctly. You made a siege on Tangent's base?" Xion nods, and points at the broken power cord. "How'd you do that?" Tia asks.
"Watch." Xion says, forming a small portal near him. Xion aims with the aid of the computer. *ZIP* the power cord about a yard above the contained black holes now has been severed halfway. "Isn't that amazing?" Xion says, closing the portal. "The only problem is that it's a huge mental drain. That's the last of my powers untill I regain them with some rest."
"Well you're not going to get any drinking coffee." Tia says. She then notices Xion shaking an empty flask with his other hand. "Ah. Ether?" Xion shakes his head, then offers Tia a sip of his coffee. "Thank you." Tia carefully takes a sip, then licks her lips. "Ah. A potion."
"Yeah, I'm trying to cut back on my Ethers...since they're so rare. Baguba only gets a shipment of two thousand each month, so I gotta make them last when I get them." Xion says with a smile. "Besides, I can channel my HP into MP."
"Oh?" Tia says, curious. "Can you teach me how to do this?" Xion reaches for Tia's ear. "What are you doing?"
"Remember that chip I told you to put in your ear?" Xion says, softly moving her ear into his view. "And if it is seated properly, you should already know how to do this." Xion pushes the chip in Tia's left ear firmly, making sure it in. Tia winces. "Sorry...sorry..." Xion says, fondling Tia's ear.
"No problems...I had worse before." Tia says, fondling her ear with Xion. "Remember when Finnigan came in wounded from battle?" Tia lifts her shirt slightly to reveal a large scar across her right side. "He was not only Bezerked, he was confused. So he attacked me while I was trying to heal him. Bangaa spike right across. Almost missed me, but hurt like crazy. Malta had to heal us both after she casted Esuna." Xion winces while Tia tells her story.
"Ow, yeah...I remember that. Don't worry, he got his when he came back to base." Xion says.
"Yeah...anyways, what happened with Rach?" Tia says, looking at rach on the floor sleeping.
"The only thing I can think of is that she has never had a feminine touch...and it drove her crazy. Other than that, I cannot see any reason she would act that way." Xion says, looking at Rach. Xion takes a sip of his coffee, then looks back at his computer. Tia sits on the arm next to Xion. "Thanks Tia, this night may go better than sitting here and monitoring Tangent." Xion says with a smile.

Waiiiiiiiit a second. I don't think it's considered a plot device. If the base has no stats, that means that:
HP: 0
MP: 0
SP: 0
Weapon Attack: 0
Weapon Defense: 0
Magic Attack: 0
Magic Defense: 0
Speed: 0
Attacks: None
If the base's HP is zero, then that means the base is destroyed...I don't count the pylon and any defensive stuff as part of the base since they are their own units, like in Warcraft. If the base has no stats, then that means either:
-You just have a wide open area with a bunch of turrets around a Pylon,
OR
-The base doesn't exist at all,
OR
-I just dun git eet!
If my comment ticks you off, I'm sorry. I just thought it would be weird to explain the concept of no stats. This is just a random thought that I had that shouldn't interfere with teh playing of teh game. Ah heck, just ignore this post altogether. Don't worry, I'll get this Pylon down without destroying anything (unless Xion beats to me it, which he probably won't) and we can focus on more important matters...like the Tales of the Tavern Thread.

@Risp: No, that won't be necessary.
@Xion: The base is part of the scenery. It cannot be destroyed unless it's part of the storyline or a cutscene.
L_G sits there on Snake Road, thinking about recent events. "As long as that Pylon is up, I can't go back home. It's time to pull out the big guns," says L_G. He takes out a piece of paper and scribbles a note on it:
Dear Beth and my past self,
By the time you read this, I will no longer exist. I have reached a roadblock in the future that's preventing me from going home. Surely you have heard of Strato and his Peep army; they set up a Pylon that's blocking interdimensional travel. There are powerful enemies guarding it; enemies that I cannot defeat myself. I must ask you to take my past self to the Shadow Realm, and use the provided Interceptor II to escape before Strato catches up to you. I wish you the best of luck.
Going to miss you in the future,
-Future L_G
L_G sighs. He was hoping it wouldn't come to this...
"No matter," says L_G. "I must do what I can to save myself."
L_G takes out the Ocarina of Time. He digs around the jumbled-up thoughts of his mind to find the one asong that can save everything:
C-Right, A, C-Down, C-Right, A, C-Down.
L_G tapped out the destination on his feet, and a time portal opened. L_G takes a deep breath, and steps through.
* * *
Somewhere back in the past, L_G appears out of thin air. He looks out into the distance, seeing nothing but mucky oceans. L_G shakes his head and says, "Risp and Strato shouldn't have com after me...now they'll pay dearly!"
Following the faint energy signal of his petrified self, L_G blazes across the landscape. It only takes a few minutes for L_G to find that he was not alone: Beth and her platoon have already arrived.
L_G flies up to them and says, "Hi."
Beth turns and gasps. "It...It's you! But how? I don't understand..."
"Allow me to explain," begins L_G. "I'm from the future."

Cooba slowly got bored. Waiting for fight at tier 5's choke point with some troops isn't so alluring. He expected something better after Risp gave him chance to join (no offence). "Anyway, it's better to have a buddy instead of foe" - he thought. After few minutes he started to snore along with some soldiers.
He dreamt about a cybernetical structure dressed like a princess. Then Tangent accidentally pressed something and machine turned into electric toothbrusher, which after a second turned into red-furred rabbit which came outside and ate enemy's tanks shaped like a buck-toothed fishes.
Then a bell awake Cooba from dream. He instantly shot out over 20 Waterga bullets to empty space <s>filled with non-existing nothingness=less</s>, because he thought that enemies came. Then a computer voice said:
"Alarm testing. Don't worry doods. Alarm testing. Don't worry doods. Alarm testing... bzzt bzzz kazap" - computer said right after battle mage shot at the big speaker on ceiling.

Yes, I know that sounded corny.
Ignoring the randon thoughts spewed out by Past L_G, Future L_G explains what happened to Beth. "So you see, If I take myself back home in the past, then Strato will have no need to build a Pylon that prohibits dimensional travel, and I can go home. However, I won't exist anymore since I'm from the future, and since I will be sending you and past self back to Animenia, I will have no reason to exist in this particular timeline, since I will already be back home."
"...Phwee?" says a confused Past Beth.
Future L_G smirks. "I know it's confusing," he says, "I can't figure it out myself."
Future L_G looks around. "You two had better get going, or Strato will find us, and it won't be pretty."
Future L_G hands over the Interceptor II Capsule.
"That capsule contains an updated Interceptor," says L_G. "Use it to get home."
'NO! I REFUSE TO LISTEN TO ANYMORE OF YOUR LIES!!!' Past L_G calls out.
Past L_G has gone Insane!
Past L_G uses When the Stuff Happened! Past L_G is no longer Petrified!
Risp loses his Page 16!
Malta has a new hat!
Past L_G gets a Pringle Cannon!
Holding the Pringle Cannon, which is a bazooka painted to look like a Pringles Can; designed to fire massive Pringles at enemies, Past L_G turns to face Future L_G. "Well, this is unexpected," he says.
With a maniacal glint in his eye, Past L_G says, "No one touches my Gatorade! NO ONE!!!"
Before Past L_G can fire, Future L_G uses his hyper-fast speed to fly in and deliver a Vulcan Death Grip to his past self. Past L_G drops his Pringle Cannon into the mucky ocean.
"Micro Machines..." Past L_G mutters. Future L_G shakes his head and says, "He'll be alright," seeing the shocked expression on Beth's face. Future L_G hands Past L_G over to a Whiptail Crow who was part of Beth's platoon.
"Go back to the Shadow Realm, unpack the Interceptor II, and get of here FAST. I bet Strato and his army are- ungh?!"
Future L_G had just been caught in a big hug by Beth, tears welling in her eyes. "I don't want you to leave," she says sadly. "You're different than-"
"No," Future L_G says. "No, I'm the same as my past self, but he hasn't become me yet. Don't worry, I'll be here again." Future L_G hugs her back.
After a few minutes, they let go. Jeanie and her platoon appear nearby through a Shadow Portal. "Beth! What's taking so long to get- oh," she says, seeing Future L_G.
"Well, I guess we'd better go home," continues Jeanie. "But how are there TWO L_Gs???"
"I'll explain later," Beth replies. "We've got to get back, Strato's troops are approaching fast!" She points northeast, where several ships are coming over the mountains.
"But what about this L_G?"
"He'll be gone by the time they get here!"
Jeanie looks at Future L_G, who nods at her. Jeanie sighs and says, "Alright, we're heaing back. But you're packing up the construction site! We worked hard to get that up and running properly!" Beth giggles.
Jeanie opens a portal back to the Shadow Realm. With a last glance, the group enters the portal. It disappears. Future L_G looks over to the approaching Peeps and says, "I hope you're watching this, Strato. Your time has just run out-"
"I DEMAND MY STAR WARS CHESS!!!!" shouts out Past L_G in his sleep through a small crack in the portal. "Oh please, puh-leeze become me soon..." whines Future L_G.

In a matter of days, it will engulf the universe and fill it with total emptyness. Panning across the base, it is empty. No Pylon rests in the pylon room. No ships in the ship bay. Few supplies are in the supply room. The base, it seems, was abandoned. Only a single thing of note remains. The logs of the past, left there in the hurry to leave. Inside it contains a tale of horrible importance...
PART TWO- FATAL PANDEMONIUM

<i>That's really cold-hearted. Conder the problem of going back into the past and creating a paradox. And the holes? They leave emptyness in their wake.
Oh, and I just realized there is a double meaning in 'fatal pandemonium'.</i>
In the past, in the plane the Pylon was before it ceased to exist, a small, strange, black hole in the fabric of space appeared. Giving off unusual energy, it began to warp the universe. Suddenly, the plane isolated itself from others, in an attempt to keep the contamination from spreading. Planeswalkers all over were alarmed. One planeswalker who was leaving at the time the plane isolated only had half of his body transported through. Now, only the highest power of interplanal travel- the warpgates, of which there are only three in the universe, has the power to let people travel freely. And, at this rate, they would need to leave very, very, soon.
<i>Oh, and the locations of the warpgates are very hard to find out. I myself only know where one is, and you, FYI, know of none.</i>
Strato
Mar 20, 2004, 07:07 PM
"Bail out, bail out! Mission aborted, we've got a massive problem back on our home planet. Paradox readouts are off the charts. We need to teleport back immediatly." Strato yells.
"Acknowledged, planal teleport enabled. Teleporting in 5." Rspss says grimly.
*FWOOSH*
Strato rallies all of his forces in the area. "Come! We must fight! Hack the airwaves, we need to warn the general populace!" Strato commands.
"Why? What's happening?" One of his leuitenants asks.
"Paradoxs everywhere. This plane is collapsing on itself. People need to escape to a stable plane. *sigh* An unsurmountable number of people will be slaughtered instantly without knowing. This crime is truly unforgivable." Strato says with supressed rage. Rspss runs up to Strato in the midst of the hetic scramble to arms.
"Airwaves have been hacked, we're going live in 3 seconds. 2. 1."
"Greetings good people of Tiranus. We've come to a time of reckoning. As I warn you, the universe itself is collapsing upon itself. Within weeks, the plane will be obliterated from within, leaving nothing behind. All will be lost. However there is an escape. We may be able to form a mass teleport to another plane, in which safety will lay! We cannot assure you that you will survive on the otherside, but it's better than staying here. The man who has commited this atrocity will not survive. No matter the cost. Cut transmission." Strato turns to face Rspss.
"Rspss, abandon all of our facilities, do a code 113 abondoning prochedure. Everyone who wants to escape let them. Designate some forces to do a Red Cross and quell the massive chaos in spreading worldwide. Niz, you try and get the word out as far as you can across every planet, every solar system. I'll organize some troops to construct the mass planal teleportation, and the rest will help me fight L_G." Strato barked with edginess.
*A while later*
"All clear Bravo team, you're cleared for takeoff." The robotic intercom system annouced. 4 frigates launched from the starports, join with the other 6. Stinger ships rose from the ground and trailed the Frigates. Strato went solo in his Personal Cavalier. The fleet locked in on the approximate location of L_G and flew at 3 times the speed of sound. After about an hour of travel, the fleet finally came in over L_G's position. Strato leaped valiantly from his Aircraft. He drew a warpblade and stared directly in L_G's eyes.
"You have no idea of the enormity of what you've done. Not even I have the idea of it. But I won't let this crime go unpunished. HAVE AT YOU!" Strato slashed down on Future L_G, slicing his left arm clean off.

Mar 20, 2004, 10:32 PM
...O_o How on earth can we have a paradox? We only have a paradox if something in the past can only occur if someone/thing travels from the future. Or something like that. Oh well.
"GAH!" Future L_G shouted as his left arm said bye-bye. He looked up at Strato, angry as...well, you know.
"I've had just about enough of this! I never did anything to you, and you treat me like you despised me for years, if not longer! This ends NOW!!!!"
Future L_G goes Super Knucklehead 1!!! Future L_G's arm has been restored.
Future L_G unleashes Thunder Storm! All of the frigates and troops are destroyed. Strato takes 12345 HP damage.
Future L_G:
Class: Really ticked off Gun Mage (Super Knucklehead 1)
HP: 14470/17000
MP: 5000/5000
SP: 7/54
SP each turn: 7
Weapon Attack: 534
Weapon Defense: 712
Magic Attack: 542
Magic Defense: 854
Speed: 954
NEW ATTACK!
Soh Cah Toa Beam- Three energy balls are launched at the target at different angles, making it difficult to block or dodge.
L_G glares at Strato and grins evilly. "Even if you do kill me, you can't stop me..." he cackles.
Just so it's fair, each combatnant(sp?) can only make ONE action per turn. Haste gives the target an extra action at the end of the turn the turn after it's cast, and only lasts for that turn. Slow cuts a targets' speed in half for a few turns. Stop keeps the target from acting until their next turn. Sound good?
It didn't take long for Jeanie and the others to pack up. However, Past L_G was missing the lower half of his body for some odd reason. "We can restore him, if we can get him back home," says Beth to a concerned Jeanie.
"Very well then, let's get moving!" replies Jeanie.
Jeanie makes some last-minute checks, then asks for the ship to launch.
The Interceptor II takes off!
"Input dimensional coordinates!" orders Jeanie, sitting in the captain's chair on the bridge.
"Sorry, can't do that," the Helmsman says.
"What?! Why not???"
"That's why," replies the Helmsman, pointing at a steadily growing black hole in the distance.
"Ah, sh-"
'I DIDN'T TAKE THE COOKIES, MA! IT WAS A CAT IN A HAT!!' cries out Past L_G.
Jeanie slaps her forehead. "This going to be a long trip...scan for exits."
"Aye, ma'am."

<i>Actually, this is a classic paradox. You go into the past to make the Pylon unnecessary. Now, in the future, the Pylon is never built, so you don't go beck into the past to make the Pylon unnecessary. Now the Pylon was built, so you go back into the past to make the Pylon unnecessary... See what I mean? Time travel is dangerous anyway. Saying you can go through time without any consequences is like saying you can blow up the universe without hurting anybody.</i>

<i>Well, if you mean helping us to get to another plane, that is what the three warp gates are for. I know of one. One is under the control of a ancient evil. One is so far away it would take years to get to it with the fastest ship in the Galaxy. If you mean helping us once we get to a new plane, that is something to think of once we get there. Now, I have an idea.</i>
Suddenly, on the battlefield where Strato was slain, a bright flash is emmitted from an imaginary point in the air. It widens, and forms a gate of bright energy. From it comes a peep, but not a normal peep. Blue in color, and with red eyes, this is an abnormal peep. He carries 11 bells, glowing with quiet magic, on poles of a slightly... strange wood. He wears a black vest and a cap with a feather on it.
"Glock reporting, on the team sent to investigate the warpgate! What are your orders, Gener- oh." Glock takes his bells out, and gets into a fighting stance.
Glock selects one of his bells, a silver one humming with firey magic, and rings it! Glock uses Overdrive Bell!
Glock's overdrive is raised from 96% to 100%!
Glock takes a large bell, etched with strange runes and with a pair of etherial wings. Glock rings it, once, and it gives out a crisp, clean noise! Glock uses Phoenix Bell!
Strato is raised, and healed to full!
All troops are raised, and healed to full!
Glock now has the re-raise status effect!
Glock selects a small, black bell. He rings it once, and it makes a sharp noise, distinctive but easily forgotten. Glock uses Amnesia Bell!
Lem_Gambino has forgotten how to use Super Knucklehead 1!
Lem_Gambino has reverted to his normal form!
<i>Glock was suppost to be the first boss in the seige, but this is such a perfect moment for him...
--Glock--
HP: 400/400 Overdrive: 0%
strong against air, earth, and fire. weak against steel
*auto chime: counterattack; heal all allies for half the damage Glock takes, and hurts all enemies (with sound-type damage) for one fourth the damage. if Glock is killed it raises him before healing, but this does not work if Glock would have still died even if he had been healed as he was hurt; physical
*sonic bell: deals 600 sound damage; physical
*entropy bell: target is confused; physical
*broken bell: deals 900 sound damage, can only be used when Glock is under 200 HP; physical
*doom bell: counterattack; when killed, Glock deals 4000 sound damage to his killer
*amnesia bell: target is unable to use technique of caster's choice for rest of battle, cannot be cured; physical
*chaos bell (overdrive): target is berzerked, confused, and poisoned; none of these status effects will go away unless a healing item of spell is used. if any one of these effects are healed, they will all dissapear and deal 10000 damage to the person who was formerly inflicted; physical
*clear bell: heals 300 HP of target; physical
*mana bell: restores 200 MP of target; physical
*phoenix bell (overdrive)- all dead allies are raised and fully healed, uses re-raise on Glock; physical
*overdrive bell: raises target's overdrive meter by 5%; physical
note: all of Glock's skills are counted as physical attacks, so he can use three a turn

Xion says, fondling his left ear <i>(The one with the chip in it)</i>. "Now I can go in, grab a potion, and make that an easy Ether. And they don't make Ethers in 100 or 150 sizes, too." Any spell entering the base that is not cast by someone using the magic amplifier will immediatly be counteracted by the self-regenerating cloud of antimanna spanning the base.

<i>He is talking about how you have done something that is destroying the universe yet all you want to do is save yourself (how can that be misunderstood? Are you saying you really want to help people but you just cannot somehow?), while we are evacuating as many innocent people as we can with the reasources we have.
And godo is good with one of the 'o's stepping outside for some fresh air.</i>

<i>@Xion- you shouldn't be suprised. This is back in time before the pylon was ever made. Even before you found out about my alternate base, if I am correct. You would not even know the pylon exists (expecially since it does not and will not in this plane), unless you are some immortal being that lives out of time. Even though planeswalkers are stupidly powerful, I doubt they are that.
Of course, I suppose it could be that going back in time in one plane does not modify other planes, but that would have some horribly complex problems with it.
Oh, and I might as well tell you about the paradox contamination. The holes would spread across the universe in an instant, but the universe resists them. Therefore it takes time for the holes to engulf the universe. They are possible to stop, but to do so you need a device that has a direct link to the forces of the universe. None of them are left, since you reversed the Pylon.</i>
Xion
Mar 24, 2004, 04:55 AM
<i>Wait a minute, <b>I</b> reversed the pylon? Granted, I may not have every ability available, but I am a time mage. Time mages can alter the flow of time, but they cannot go back in time. So if you think about it, Xion knows the pylon exists, and the alternate base, and everything else. Malta, Tia, and Diesel have these abilities (somewhat) so they are affected mildly. But Diesel doesn't know of the portal shootings, so...
And you have me here: Nobody within my base can go back in time. L_G, on the other hand...
Oh yes, And another thing, my post was in the "present time of the post" n.n

Guh...what were we talking about????? *brain fart*
"What is taking them so long?!" grumbles Jeanie as she looked up from her Game Boy. "Don't those people know that the universe could collapse on us at any second???"
"Mmmm...Collapse II..."
'GET OUT...GET OUT...GET OUT!!!' L_G bellows out to Risp and Strato. Jeanie leaves the bridge to play on the computer.

Lem_Gambino

Only to miss! The pylon is no longer there.
Meanwhile, millions of citizens and soldiers alike are preforming an exodus to the same plane as Ragol. Strato and his party are searching for L_G and his party.
No, it looks like you're still here. I'd get moving if I were you.
Jeanie calls Daria, a Dream Sprite, to the bridge. Jeanie whispers something into her ear, and Daria nods. She sits on the floor just in front of Jeanie in a yoga-like position.
'THE INK BLOT WILL EAT YOU ALL UP!' L_G calls out to Risp and Strato.
To the best of my knowledge, Risp and his troops are still in their base.

Rspss Fr leaves Niz back in the base to move the magic amplifier into the warp gate, via a transport ship. At the warp gate, a constant stream of transport ships and cargo ships go in, along with the occasional destroyer and escorts.
Lem_Gambino
Mar 24, 2004, 10:23 PM
That's not the sprite's power.
Dream Shield- Sacrifice MP to redirect an attack at another target.
If the antimatter junk that's consuming this universe catches up to us, Dream shield can rebound the energy back at itself, giving use more time to escape. This a last resort; Dream Shield takes up half of the user's current MP, and only works against energy attacks.
"Ma'am, a ship just left the base!" the Helmsman says.
"Well, let's follow it, then! Full speed ahead!" commands Jeanie. The Interceptor II gives chase, staying out of the ship's sensor range.
Risp_old
Mar 25, 2004, 03:37 AM
<i>Actually, it is not antimatter. The holes are holes of nothingness. They cannot be blocked, as anything they touch becomes nothingness also and adds to the mass of the holes. So, basically, if the dream shield will just speed your doom.</i>

2. She started her journy at a base that you don't know exists, out of a transport carefully made to be invisible to sensors. You are not following her, unless the future you told Beth where my new base is (which is unlikely, since you went to my old base when looking for me.)
@Xion- In what way? But anyway, you seemed pretty lost to me when I explained how the Pylon worked.</i>
Lem_Gambino
Mar 25, 2004, 02:00 PM
-I know that she knows where the warp gate is. And did you not think I couldn't just LOOK AROUND to find her ship? That and the fact that L_G is telepathic helps too.

Phooeigh. At least I still have telepathy.
FYI: Telepathy is not considered magic.
'Astro Grrrrl...' mutters L_G, his mental voice tired out from typing in all caps. He copies and pastes a mental map (drawn in crayons) of where Niz is in all of the minds of everyone on the bridge.
"Full speed, uh...that-a way!" commands Jeanie, pointing where Niz's ship is located. The Interceptor flies towards Niz's transport, stopping before they fall into sensor range (and on a dime floating in space). They slowly pursue her, using asteroids as cover.
The pylon within Tangent's base is not built yet, and never will, since this universe is about to go boom.
There are zero pylons in the plane with Tangent
Tangent is somewhere else, plotting our deaths.
Planeswalking to that plane is impossible.
Does that help?
Xion
Mar 25, 2004, 02:37 PM

<i>So he is able to instantly find someone?</i>
Niz continues to fly the transport, and then decides to put it on autopilot for a bit. She heads to the back, where the main computer is, and logs in. She goes around for a while, looking over the records on the main computer, till she notices that according to the main base's security detection web she is being followed. Quickly, she uses a transmittor and easily hacks into the other ship's security cameras, and begins to see what is going on...
<i>Note- unless you have a skilled hacker of your own on board, you would not be able to notice this hacking attempt. And, since you never said you have a hacker (and I won't let you invent a crewmember whenever you need one), you don't. Period.
EDIT- @Xion- I keep on not seeing you. But anyway, you can planeswalk to this plane. However, the plane partially isolated itself from others to keep the contamination from spreading too much, so nobody can leave unless they have access to one of the three warpgates, the interspacial and interdimensional portals that are the only things to have enough power to let people leave. Unless, however, magic also gives you the power of being able to fly in space like some corny superhero...

Did you really think I need a hacker? My computer is it's own hacker.
X-I, the core AI for every single computer L_G built, felt someone knocking at her front door. "Who is it?" she asks. A female figure bursts in, holding a video camera. "I need to 'borrow' this for a moment," she says.
Instantly, X-I's security subroutines activated. "HACKER DETECTED. INITIALZING COUTERMEASURES." X-I walks up to the female figure, turns her around, then gives her s swift kick in the behind. She drops the camera, and the hacker program Niz used was deleted. "DELETED!" X-I calls out in Strong Bad's voice. She picks up the camera and reinstalls it. "Just for that, I think I'll hack YOU."
X-I reaches out with her hand, and snake-like tendrils reach out from her fingertips. All of Niz's screens show a spinning smiley face with the words "PHEER TEH MUSCHRUUM" on the bottom. X-I eventually finds the Navicomputer, but it's heavily guarded by *insert Navicomputer defenses here*.
Risp_old
Mar 25, 2004, 03:05 PM
<i>Wait, you have sentient AI that is a better hacker than one of the great lords of hackers? Unless this X-I is programmed by one of the cyber lords it would be unable to resist being hacked.</i>
Lem_Gambino
Mar 25, 2004, 03:18 PM
L_G is not a cyber lord, but he has programmed X-I to adapt and upgrade itself as the situation arises. Kind of like the Borg.
Risp_old
Mar 25, 2004, 03:22 PM
<i>Wait, it is able to suddenly learn how to be the universe's best hacker when someone first tries to hack it? That is about as unlikely as you (as in, the real life you) spontaniously learning martial arts as someone is beating you up.</i>
Lem_Gambino
Mar 25, 2004, 03:38 PM
LOL. X-I has been able to handle just about any hacer with little difficulty ever since she was installed on L_G's PC. That and the fact that L_G watches the movie TRON way too many times factors in too. She isn't just some .exe file; she learns and grows like a human being, but is essentially immortal in the cyber-world.
BTW, who are these Cyber-Lords you talked about earlier?
Risp_old
Mar 25, 2004, 03:50 PM
<i>The Cyber Lords are the lords of hackers, programmers, and artificial intelligences. There are about 10 of them, and they all have followings. Niz is the best hacker of them, second only to Fia'onn, the greatest of all the Cyber Lords and their unnofficial leader.
Also, since no matter how amazing X-I is, she is still an AI. One thing AIs cannot change without outside help is their deepest core, and therefore if that core is not programmed well enough it provides a back-door, and gives a hacker a chance to totally take over the AI. Even though, no doubt, that core is well programmed, I already stated that Niz is an excellent hacker.</i>
Lem_Gambino
Mar 25, 2004, 04:06 PM
True. But unless she can decode a password in less than a millisecond, she can't get in. only L_G knows how to open the back door properly without a massive power failure, or worse, a nuclear detonation. Which is exactly what will happen if Niz tries to enter the back door without safely figuring out how the password is generated, which I doubt she knows. As for the nuclear detonator, well...let's just say L_G is a little paranoid.
Risp_old
Mar 25, 2004, 04:12 PM
<i>Actually, that won't be a problem. Niz has a lot more than a millisecond to do that, since she won't be noticed by the AI unless she messes up. And, if not that, she does have a magic amplifier on board. She could pull a Xion and have time to decode a dozen passwords in that 'less than a millisecond'.</i>

<i>Ah, I see. so, therefore I can walk to the plane, but without a warpgate I cannot go back?
Okay, I'm on the same page... almost. One more blank.
Rain and Soala are _____.</i>
Xion frantically works on his computer. Malta, being bored, wandered off somewhere. "Where are these people? I can't find anybody I know within a single plane!" Xion continues, when he notices that his tail is noticably shorter. "What the..." Xion felt his tail shorten. Then his head felt a touch lighter, and Xion reaches for his ears, and misses. His ears have shrunk, too.
"This is interesting...I seem to be going back to my old shell, as if time has re-written itself." Xion says. "Does this mean that L_G, Risp, and Strato are all different? Am I looking in the wrong places?" Xion changes the camera to the empty space of the plane, and begins his search of any ships he finds.

@Risp: Ah. Well, in that case...
Beth fires the EMP Cannon! The transport takes 273 HP damage, and all of it's electrical devices are disabled.
'Let's see what's behind...DOOOOOOR NUMBER ONE!' says L_G in a game show host's voice. He probes Niz's mind for the coordinates to the Warp Gate...and finds them.
'Thank you for shopping with us, have a nice day!'
@Risp: Don't know why I didn't do that sooner. Two questions:
-Where is the warp gate you and your comrades are going to? Don't lie; L_G has scoured every square micron of Niz's mind to find this data, and I don't think she has a resistance to telepathy (which I doubt she has). It also beats saying "OMG L_G AND CO. FOUND THE PORTAL YAYAY" or something like that.
-Is the magic amplifier electronic? If it isn't, you might still have a chance to stop me. If not, you can still stop me; there's just a smaller chance you may be able to do so.
@Xion- Rain and Soala are still with Xion, since they never went to fight Tangent since we're in the past, before all the uglyness happened.

Battle mode on!
Niz projects some of her psuedomagic skill through the magic amplifier, and it is changed into a spell! A burst of energy, not noticable by living organisms but deadly to machines drifts out! High Magic: Scramble!
The Interceptor II is confused, and will remain confused till battle is disengaged!

<i>Correction on your call: I never called Rain and Soala to my aid. So therefore they do not exist in the storyline at the time. The Helmsman guides the Interceptor away from combat!
In the Shadow Realm, which is untouched by the icky nothingness that is consuming it, Niz is binded to a table. All of her equipment, and any other inventory stuff that she has somewhere on her body, is gone. She can't move, except her head. "We'll just have to find it the old-fashioned way," repiles and equally annoyed Jeanie. "Set scanners on the highest, widest setting, and look for any ships traveling in large groups, and any large dimensional rips."

"Dear friend, how could I have survived without you..." Xion says, staring at the mace. Diesel coughs, then points at the portal. "Right." Xion hops through with his mace in-hand.
<i>That does not say you did it so fast. When I questioned you later you just said you got it anyway, not you ducked in there really fast. In fact, that would be so fast there would be a sonic boom that would blow your computer to bits and knock everyone else in the room out.
Anyway, even if you did do that the lotus mace would have been destroyed, since there would be so much kinetic energy still in the mace it would fly through you and become a tachyon once you yanked it, unless you are able to channel your magic powers into it. Even at that, once you stopped moving it would continue to move and fly through you and be lost forever as a tachyon still, because of inertial. Xion doesn't really see this because he fell asleep in his chair...again.

*yawn* Whattid I miss?
The Interceptor II, still spinning out of control, starts flying through space in the general direction of where Niz was originally heading.
You guys could have done stuff other than argue about how Xion's planeswalking abilties work in this thread, ya know. Just because I'm not here doesn't mean you can't advance the plot.

<i>I can't do anything with the party that is suppost to find you till Strato gets back on. Xion does not seem to be able to do anything at all.</i>
Niz projects some of her psuedomagic skill through the magic amplifier, and it is changed into a spell! A giant grappling line shoots out from the transport, appearing out of nowhere, and reels the Interceptor II in! High Magic: Create Extension!
<i>Why does the Interceptor II always do what you want it to when it spins out of control?</i>
Lem_Gambino
Mar 26, 2004, 06:27 PM
Jeanie's wrestling with the controls. She isn't doing a very good job since Niz smacked the Interceptor II with the confusion spell. >XP
The Interceptor II is reeled in, but the confused ship fires its weapons uncontrollably at Niz's spacecraft. Niz's transport takes 3724 HP damage from the barrage.
Perhaps you should rethink this move, Risp...you got the bull by the tail, and here come the horns!

<i>Well, my strategy relys on you not being able to control the ship when you should not be able to (since 'wrestling with the controls' is a plot device.) It is a pretty good plan. You are the problem.</i>
Niz projects some of her psuedomagic skill through the magic amplifier, and it is changed into a spell! A flurry of high-energy missles fly from the transport and blast into the Interceptor II! High Magic: Missle Strike!
The Interceptor II takes 7500 HP damage!
<i>Transport hp pending.</i>

Jeanie completely loses control of the ship!!!!!!
The Interceptor II, thinking it's a bucking bronco, flings Niz's transport around like a yo-yo. Niz's ship hits a really big asteroid, but for some odd reason, doesn't take damage.
The Interceptor II is confused! In its confusion, it fires off a volley of Viper Homing Missiles! Niz's ship takes 9998 HP damge from the attack.
I tried to warn you...
Risp_old
Mar 26, 2004, 06:47 PM
<i>... so the interceptor is now berzerked or something, with it constanly pulling off pot shots while not knowing nearby asteroids or planets from the transport (which, in fact, should be immune to the homing missles, unless they for some reason use optical systems instead of some sort of scanner, owing to the fact that the transport is invisible to scanners)...</i>

Strato's Frigate streaked through space. Strato at the weapons helm began to power up all the weapon systems. Defensive laser grid was online. Refractive armor was fully repaired.
Strato in Frigate
Hp : 25000/25000
Weapons Layout
Front : D-Gun - Serious pain
Multi : Det missle packs - Homing
Defenses
Armor : Refractive SG Silk Steel Alloy - Refractive
Extra : Point Defense Laser Grid - Anti Projectile defense system
<i>Post weapons layout of Interceptor II. Also, I'm behind you so only back facing weapons or multi could hit me.</i>

The Vipers are heat-seeking missiles. Doi. Also, Niz's transport was the last thing that the Interceptor II "saw" before it was confused, so now it thinks it's an enemy (though it was a enemy from the start).
The Interceptor II flies away, dragging Niz along and blasting anything that gets in it's way. It's heading in the direction that Niz was heading before the battle started.
'Must...get to...transporter...' says Jeanie as she stumbles through the hallway. Along the way, she finds an emergency kit containing:
50 X-Potions
50 Remedies
50 Fire Gems (deals fire damage to all enemies)
50 Water Gems (deals water damage to all enemies)
50 Lightning Gems (deals lightning damage to all enemies)
50 Ice Gems (deals ice damage to all enemies)
50 Earth Gems (deals earth damage to all enemies)
50 Wind Gems (deals wind damage to all enemies)
50 Holy Gems (deals holy damage to all enemies)
50 Shadow Gems (deals darkness damage to all enemies)
50 Supreme Gems (deals non-elemental damage to all enemies)
50 Sleep Bombs (deals damage and sleep to one enemy)
1 Immunity Bracelet
1 Flask of Veritaserum (forces the drinker to tell the truth when a question is asked)
Immunity Bracelet Abilites:
Ribbon- Prevents status aliments.
Inventory Check- Protects all equipment and items from being stolen or destroyed.
EDIT: @Strato: You can see all of the Interceptor II's weapons on post 578. They are capable of firing forward and backward. I'd watch your aim, since the Interceptor is on a rampage and Niz is being dragged along with it. >=)

<i>@L_G WOAH! That Interceptor has rapid fire attacks! Viper missles only deal what, 150 damage right? you did about...70 attacks in one turn.</i>
Strato launches a Det Pack. 6 rockets home on on the Interceptors Bridge. Interceptor takes 1,200 damage.

Well, what did you expect from a confused, enraged armored assualt transport?
The Interceptor II screeches in pain. It turns around and rams Strato's frigate! Strato's Frigate takes 5834 HP damage.
Jeanie reaches the transporter room, where Beth's waiting. "Lock onto that hacker and beam her aboard," she says.
"That'll be difficult," replies Beth. "She seems to be blocking our sensors."
"Weren't they knocked off-line when the EMP cannon hit?"
"I'm not sure."
@Risp: Shouldn't the sensor-blocking whatchamacallits be disabled, since they are electronic devices after the EMP cannon hit???

<i>Actually, the transport has sensor-proof armor, not some kind of jammer.
And, as for the thing, the point of confusion is that the target is unable to tell what is an enemy and what is an ally. Also, if this helps, the spell that did it was a scrambler, and that means the Interceptor II's computer systems would be on the fritz (anything system that is linked to the computers would be haphazardly switching on and off or randomly firing), not that is would be enraged.</i>
Niz manages to get the transport's systems back online!
A portal appears in front of the transport, and the transport goes in, with the portal dissappearing behind it! The transport has excaped via jump drive!
<i>Note- the grappling hook is unfortinatly still there and has kept part of the portal open. The remaining part of the portal is too small for anything to move through or the grappling hook line to properly move through, so now the line is stuck there. So, therefore, the Interceptor II and the transport are both immobile. And the transport did not jump drive to the Warp Gate. It jump drived in the opposite direction.</i>

Xion snorts, and sees the ship grouping on the screen. "Oh my..." Xion says, zooming in on the main ship. A strange marking is on the side, hard to make out because it's been traveling for quite a long time.

You are talking about those ships? The markings thing confused me. Also, Strato never said where they were being sent in. Unless your sensor grid encompasses the entire plane, you might not be able to see that.</i>

<i>You forget that the cameras are planesmagic, and cannot really be blocked by isolation. The only real way for me to have a return trip is to have a cord attached to me to a portal that I have ripped between the two planes, and even then I can't go far...10yds is the usual portal containment...=\

<i>>D >D >D >DDDD I got you now L_G</i>
The Intercepter's Ram attack launched it right into the Point Defence Laser Grid, punching it with many many holes. 7,000 damage. The effect of scramble finally hit Strato's frigate. Strato's Frigate is now widly out of control. It fires 50 Det Packs. 60,000 damage to The Intercepter II. It shoots 10 D-Guns. 100,000.
<i>Seeing as confusion actually means defy the game rules, I guess I have to follow through.</i>

<i>yes and no.
I can cover a large area of a plane for a while, but the cameras expire. That's their only problem: they last only so long. Xion has to keep refreshing them when they drop so he can keep a constant monitor...though with Xion's poor sleeping habits, things can slip by him easily.</i>
