<i>lol look at cooba's post. L_G, Risp, and cooba are all on one team, and I'm on the other.
Why? Because I'm a planeswalker I assume.</i>
Xion claims page 26 and equips it, like a shuriken.

<i>Well, everyone was using equipment they did not have and L_G was fighting even though he was not listed as there, so I though the information in the post was simply a formality.</i>

Hey Risp, if you haven't noticed, you just got Post #1000. Congrats! *envies and admires Risp* Now put that post to good use.

Apr 9, 2004, 05:57 PM
Kyogre uses Rock Smash to remove the boulders and pull L_G out. "Thanks," he says. "Now why in the world would someone try and shoot at us?" Kyogre shrugs, and so does L_G. they get back to their joy ride, but this time look out for people with explosive weapons.

Xion
Apr 10, 2004, 05:32 PM
<i>I got an idea.
Each plane has their own planal modifier, and each attack has a specific amount of range damage. Example:
==Freezeblink: Costs 32, damages 80-112, hit 85.
The cost and damage can be modified seperately, along with HP maxes and MP maxes. However, Hit and JP (overdrive) will not be affected by <b>any</b> worldwide modifier. Local modifiers, like fog, water, or forests, can affect hit. Example of a world modifier:
==Gran Da Val: HPx2, MPx2, Costsx2.25, damagex3. Local elements: Wood, Water, Wind, Earth.
Here, a base HP of 176 would be 352, a base MP of 221 would be 442, Freezeblink would cost 72 and damage 240-336, and any Wood, Water, Wind, and Earth abilities would get a 1.5x bonus.
Take these into consideration, and maybe it could be kind of a D&D game. I dunno if this could really work, but it will prevent the uber-1337 overpowerment of spells over time. Granted, there are combos out there that can deal massive damage, so you need to find them on your own.</i>
Risp_old
Apr 10, 2004, 05:35 PM
<i>Why would being in certain places highten your HP?</i>
Xion
Apr 10, 2004, 06:25 PM
<i>well, this is merely a base. See, Ivalace could have a 1x modifier on all of them while Gran Da Val, which is something completely different, gives higher modifiers since the creatures have higher attacks and health and such.
Granted, it doesn't have to be higher, it could be lower too!</i>
Risp_old
Apr 10, 2004, 06:29 PM
<i>So, basically, if I walk into there I would suddenly become tougher, and I would need more healing items to heal me back to full health?</i>
Lem_Gambino
Apr 10, 2004, 06:37 PM
I think what he's saying is that the land you're in can affect your stats, like If you were under water it would power up water attacks and weaken fire attacks, or something like that.
Risp_old
Apr 10, 2004, 06:42 PM
<i>How would that effect your HP?</i>
Lem_Gambino
Apr 10, 2004, 09:42 PM
Ummm...like this: Say you're on a planet that has a toxic atmosphere. Your HP would decrease if you don't like toxic environments; increase if you thrive in them.
I don't really know; Xion's the one that brought this up. XP
Risp_old
Apr 11, 2004, 06:22 AM
<i>How about this system, which makes some more sense to me, since it does not suddenly change your body chemistry whenever you enter new terrain-
Forests | fire damage x2 water damage x.5
So, thus, in a forest fire spells would deal double damage owing to all the nearby wood, but water spells would deal half damage owing to the fact that all the plants nearby would absorb some of the water.
Beach | water costs x.5
So, thus, in a beach, water spells would cost less mana owing to the availability of water.
Nuclear wasteland | all organic, non NBC protected creatures take 10 d per turn
So, thus, in a nuclear wasteland, people would be hurt by the radioactive fallout.
But, you get the point. These are just examples, which should be changed for more complexity and stuff. But it makes more sense to me than you bringing a robot onto a planet and having it suddenly get an armor upgrade out of thin air.
And another thing. While I am not finished with the rules yet, I am going to say you have to have skill charts for everyone (and, while I would prefer you to have some skills you have yet to learn, I am not forcing you to), and on said skill charts all spells must have clearly marked damages, elements, and mana costs. This is for the sake of having more organized battles, where you can actually run out of mana and such.</i>
Xion
Apr 11, 2004, 04:20 PM
<i>About my system...Anything that heals is affected by it's respective modifier...HP replenishers get multiplied by the same modifier that gets multiplied by Maximum HP.
And about the toxic, that's an example of a local modifier. It's only on a single planet, and there is space travel...somewhat...(hopefully)</i>
Risp_old
Apr 11, 2004, 04:23 PM
<i>On a single planet.. you mean the entire planet should be toxic if there is just one stretch of nuclear wasteland on the planet?</i>
Lem_Gambino
Apr 11, 2004, 10:15 PM
No, I think he means just an area that is toxic.

Risp_old

<i>While each Cyber Lord is excellent in hacking, programming, and AI making, some are better than others-
Fia'onn (m)- their leader, and the best in every category
Trah (m)- the new second best in programming, since the original died
Via'oh (f)- the third best in programming; handles public relations
Niz (f)- the second best at hacking
Cyad (m)- the new third best at hacking, since the original died
Nog'ha (m)- the second best at AI making
Foi (m)- the third best at AI making
Aora (f)- the fourth best at AI making and the best strategist
Note that all of them have a robot army (except for Fia'onn, who really does not need one), of whom Aora's is the largest. They also all have numerous hacker/programmer/AI maker subordinates, including Fia'onn.</i>

@Cooba: Well, you'd better get some quick. Make your own chars if you have to.
@Risp: I asked that question because I saw "Cyber Lord" mentioned in the flavor text of the new Duel Masters cards, and I saw a cyber lord-type monster named Tropico. I thought that you got your chars from Duel Masters cards, and I thought that the monster you had in the previous chapters was somehow related to Duel Masters. Guess I was wrong.^^;; Oh well. Xion
Apr 13, 2004, 05:01 PM
<i>A few comments.
First, About the "no semi-immortals" rule, would I, Xion the Planesmage, be considered a semi-immortal?
Second, what about Quicken? Does Quicken go in with the "Unit can do x moves in a single shot" work with it?
Third, All these status ailments do wear off after three turns unless cast on a weaker unit from a stronger unit. i.e. if the casting unit has a 3:2 ratio, where it is Caster's M-Pow:Defender's M-Res., then it is added one turn for each ratio increase. i.e. 3:2 increases 1 turn, 6:2 increases 2 turns, etc. This is not true about some, like Haste, Slow, Quicken, Poison, and Auto-Regen.
Fourth, what about elementals? Here's my take on the rule for elementals.
An elemental does three things when it comes to damage: Increases your damage when used with a tech of the same element, Heals you when you are hit with a tech of that same element, and take double when attacked with that element.
Though, this rule does not apply to all. Xion gets a boost when he attacks with a Fire, Ice, or Wind type attacks, and takes a weakness against Water (3x weakness) and Electric type attacks. Yes, You can kill Xion with a super soaker. :p
Finally: Haste should stack, but only equal to the number of usable units in your party. This does not include infinity armies (i.e. peep armies) but actual SC's.
Also, some abbr.'s we can use.
SC = Story Charas
AA = Attack Actions
AS = Attack Spells
HS = Helping Spells
RA = Reaction Actions
OM = Overdrive Moves</i>
Risp_old
Apr 13, 2004, 05:17 PM
<i>No, you would not be considered one. This is becaue you do not fully fit the criteria for a semi-immortal- while you will come back when killed, you require some outside help. And I never said I was finished with the rules. And I have enough random status effects as it is.
As for the status effect stronger-character status effects on weaker-character thing, that would not work well for two reasons-
1. it does not take into account any players who have status effects that are applied via techniques instead of spells
2. it would mean generic soldiers would be worthless. For example, with an effect-all stun spell you could disable 100 soldiers for a long period of time.
And what is quicken? Is that the status effect that makes you instantly get a turn?
For elemental weaknesses I always imagined it as double damage, not triple damage.</i>

Risp_old

<i>Everyone has set attack damage values. They deal that damage per hit. Spells are done similarly (and also have set mana costs, so you have to put defined damages and mana costs for all your spells =D), except they also take elemental immunities, weaknesses, and strengths into account. Everything takes locational advantages into account, if they apply, and the effects of any special abilities/items. This system is made to be simple in some regards.</i>

<i>And what is quicken? Is that the status effect that makes you instantly get a turn?
For elemental weaknesses I always imagined it as double damage, not triple damage.</i>
<i>1) Yes. Quicken forces target unit to act immediately when the spell resolves. Therefore Xion can drop two Phantasm Skills in one turn.
2) Since Xion has a conflicting elemental type (Fire/Ice) He needs a median as his weakness. Since Water douses Fire and Water can erode Ice, Water is the median that drops him threefold.
Risp_old
Apr 14, 2004, 01:20 PM
<i>1. I don't think that is really a status effect. It just gives you another turn, and only lasts for one turn.
2. I guess that makes sense
Xion
Apr 14, 2004, 01:31 PM
<i>Also, I looked up some of these status effects. The following are infinite status ailments:
-Petrification
-Poison
-Frogshape
-Auto-Life
-Speed Down
-Magic Down
-Magic Up
-Defence Down
-Defence Up
-Attack Down
-Attack Up
-Conceal
All of them are infinite unless broken when certain criteria are met. i.e. Damage on a Concealed unit, Esuna, Cureall, etc.</i>
Risp_old
Apr 14, 2004, 01:39 PM
<i>I don't really consider stuff like speed/magic/defense up/down status effects, just stat modifications.

Also, to pass the time, I am writing some shorts illustrating a typical day for Risp.</i>
8:14 AM
Rspss Fr walks up to the window from his room. Looking over it, he sees the usual mess below. A squad of peep soldiers marches back and forth, forcing all other traffic to make detours. Two peeps walk by, carrying a large metal girder to a mess of scaffolding in the distance, the beginnings of a second barracks. A peep is carrying crates from a parked aircar into the stockpile, and another peep is carrying crates from the stockpile into a parked aircar. Strato, standing on a podium down below, is giving an inspirational speech to the night-shift janitors. As his gaze starts to turn to the temporary lodgings for the excess peep soldiers till the second barracks is done, Risp turns his head at the sound of a bang from behind. Looking at the base layout chart posted on the wall next to his bed, he sees it comes from the magic quarters. Rspss Fr starts to run, to see what Tangent blew up this time in his ongoing quest for power supreme.
Looks like it will be a long day in setting up the new base... as usual.

I upgraded myself even more.
Cooba:
Class: Battle Mage
HP : 30000/30000
MP : 600/600
Overdrive: 0%
Spells:
Water/Watera/Waterga
Fire/Fira/Firaga
Weakness/Weaknea/Weaknegga
Blob : casts a blob around zealot. Useful for travels. MP cost : 2 (cosmic)
n00bshop - bounces target high in air. MP : 15 (air)
EatYourVeggies - sticks target under huge bunch of broccoli. MP : 20 (ground)
Hot Seat - heat seeking energy chair that freezes target. MP : 20 (fire)
WaveSh0ck - summons a big energy wave. MP : 20 (sound)
5|_|x|o/\|_|_ - target sux. MP : 30 (steel)
Raging Inferno(Overdrive) - The flaming (not flametags, darnit) meteors falls to ground and explodes. Allies can be also hurted. MP cost : 35 (fire)
Bubble Armor(Overdrive) - Any spell get bounced to dude that spelled it. MP cost : 30 (ice)
And:
Heckish Headache - Throws a big energy orb which explodes at target's head. Then the little energy chunks that come after explosion, stops nearby target's head and starts to burn it with thunders. Causes big damge, higher to a half when overdrive. Casts also Weaknegga, HyperSlow and removes most of target's helpful spells (when they were casted). MP cost : 75. Able to cast only when Heckish Wand equipped. (chaos)
Equipment:
-Platinum Helmet
-Armor of enlightement (equipped)
-Helmet of Judgement (equipped)
-Ring of Evilness
-Heckish Wand (equipped)
And some little helpers :
Burning Chimp / Freezing Chimp
Class : N/A
HP : 1000 / 1000
MP : N/A
Overdrive : 0% / 0%
Spells:
Firaga / Waterga
Equipment:
N/A
(they can come out of Cooba's Ring of Evilness (indestructible) while mage is on overdrive. They run randomly and attack baddies randomly, as well they throw random Firaga / Waterga spells. Fire / Water no effects on them, but Water / Fire will lower their HP on a half. For example:
/ throws Firaga Arrow at Burning Chimp!
B. Chimp dodges!
/ throws Waterga Arrow at Burning Chimp!
B. Chimp's HP turns from 800 to 400. FACES D=
Pretty much, eh? ^_^;;;;
That's all, I think.

<i>Where does Planal Magic fit in?</i>
cooba
Apr 16, 2004, 09:55 AM
Xion : Cosmic, I think.
Risp : At which moment new chapter will begin? After my comeback or before?
Xion
Apr 16, 2004, 10:08 AM
<i>Cosmic? I'd think that it may fit in kinetics since it includes such spells as blink.
Blink - Instantly move around the field. Skip two moves next turn. 1MP</i>
Risp_old
Apr 16, 2004, 01:38 PM
<i>No, kinetic involves the redirection of kinetic energy, sort of like telekinesis. I would think planeswalking would be non-elemental, since it seems to be more of a direct application of magic energy instead of an application of any element.
I might as well give a better discription to them-
__-Light: involves the creation and application of light radiation
__-Darkness: involves the manipulation of shadows
__-Cosmic: involves the application of energies amplified by the universe
__-Water: involves the forced movement of water
__-Fire: involves the creation and application of thermal energy
__-Lightning (thunder): involves the creation and application of electricity
__-Wind: involves the forced movement of air
__-Earth: involves the forced movement of earth
__-Ice: involves the creation and application of low-temperature fields
__-Holy: involves the application of powers gained from deities
__-Kinetic: involves the redirection and application of kinetic energy
__-Sonic (sound): involves the creation and application of sound
__-Steel: involves the forced movement of steel and iron
__-Radiation: involves the creation and application of radiation
__-Nature: involves the forced growth and application of plants and animals
__-Warp: involves the application of distorting reality
__-Chaos: involves the risky application of randomness
__-Non-elemental: involves the direct application of mana
note that nonmagic techniques can also have elements
@Cooba- Delta already has an invisibility spell. Also, for spells that deal damage you must list how much damage they do. This goes for everyone, in fact.</i>

Risp_old
Apr 16, 2004, 05:07 PM
<i>Not always. They wear blue or green when doing surgery.
Anyway, any color would fit for light (except black), since all colors are based on light. Therefore, almost all elements would fit with light by your definition.
Anyway, holy would not be half light half life. This is because if you are using powers granted by an evil god (like necromancy or something) it would still be holy.</i>
Xion
Apr 17, 2004, 08:18 AM
<i>"Anyway, holy would not be half light half life. This is because if you are using powers granted by an evil god (like necromancy or something) it would still be holy."
Necromancy is a dark skill. Zombification is dark based, and zombies can be damaged using CURE. Yes, Zombies get hurt by CURE. That's why Cure is a Holy-based spell, along with any White Mage ability.</i>
Risp_old
Apr 17, 2004, 08:22 AM
<i>No, if it is granted by a god it is holy magic. Since in this case I said the necromancy was granted by an evil god, it still would be holy. Isn't it kinda strange for healing spells granted by good gods to be holy by more sinister stuff granted by evil gods not be holy?</i>
Xion
Apr 17, 2004, 08:31 AM
<i>Listen. Just because it is granted by a god does not make it HOLY!
If I got granted some pyrotechnic abilities from a fire god, is that ability holy? NO! It's Fire-based.
Holy is light based, and holy also includes most healing spells/abilities. There are some non-elemental healing abilities (Nurse, for example) and other elements (Earth Heal, for example) but the most of them are HOLY based.
The ability bestowed from the god is based on the god's elemental base...Not just given some static ability that makes no sense!
Risp_old
Apr 17, 2004, 08:34 AM

<i>As for raging inferno Niz's radiation breaker deals 1750 damage to one target, and radiation breaker is a normal spell. Raging Inferno is definatly underpowered.
As for Killer, one new overdrive for one of my character deals 50k damage to one target. Once again, Killer is underpowered.
Why do these things deal so much damage? There seems to be a rising difficulty curve lately. I do admit that spells like the 50k damage spell are a bit over the top against characters, but if the enemy brings in spaceships like the Interceptor II they will be needed.

<i>Remember how Xion chipped Diesel, Malta, and Tia? Yeah. Xion's base, Gran Da Val, has in the walls sensors. These sensors amplify the HP and MP of any and every unit on the premesis.
Actually, they kinda work in the oppisite direction. Damage gets cut in half and spells cost less. Though this created a problem: Fractional MP costs and Fractional Damages. How do you satisfy this? He just made the illusion of more MP and HP within the base. When you go out of the base, the HP and MP merely round up, making it nice and neat.

Rspss Fr stops to a halt outside a door. This, however, is not the normal lightweight metal door found in the inside of the command building of the base. It is a heavy blast door, the same kind that is found adorning the entrance. He opens the door. From walking through the frame, someone can see that the walls are very thick. When looking at the walls, someone can see there was an explosion here. And, looking at the sunlight coming through the roof, said explosion took a big chunk of the roof with it. The roof, unlike the rest of the room's walls, is very thin and lightweight. One can know enough about the room by knowing that the very same combination of a light roof and heavy walls is used in firework factories. And, when I say 'know enough', I mean know enough to see it wise to go as far away as possible.
Coughing at the smoke in the room, Risp starts to speak. However, cutting him off, is Tangent. "Don't you think the light in here really improves the decor, lieutenant general?"
"But, isn't there an easier-" Risp gives in. "Decided to get a sunroof?"
"Yes, I think it will be a great addition. But, seriously, I think I am nearing a breakthrough. I just need to..."
'He says this every day,' thinks Risp, 'but he seems to not ever get anywhere.'
"...and that is why there are two elements of water, but only one of electricity, even though thunder and lightning are two different things. Are you alright? You've gone glossy-eyed."
Risp snaps out of it. "And this means what?"
"Oh, I forgot to say that. I have nearly uncovered something big. Really big. Come and see."

<i>interesting.</i>
Before anything could be done...before any planesmage could rebuild what damage has been done, something had to be done. The one that initiated the planal ruin had to restore the planes to how he, or she, last knew them.
Xion was the one that destroyed the planes. He holds his hands in prayer form, and starts mumbling. A restoration spell.
Soon, a lush landscape appeared beneath Xion's feet. Gran Da Val has been restored to what he had last remembered...sans X-I. Malta, Diesel, and Tia surround him. Rach nuzzles Xion's leg. "Xion!" Tia says, in her usual bubbly tone, and leaps on Xion. Xion trips over his tail and lands flat on his back, Tia on him. "You...saved us?" She says, almost confused?
"Yes." Xion nods. "I saved everybody that I could." Xion lets out a sigh, and doses off right in the grass.
Now the stage is set for a new chapter. The books were wiped clean, and rewritten. Anything is possible now, and things are all fine.
...or are they?
<i>Since I was the one that killed the planes, Xion is a <u>Planesmage</u> after all. Xion was a planeswalker, but now is a planesmage. More abilities, more things he can do...but still same-old-Xion. Same-old-Tia. Same-old-Malta. Same-old-Diesel. Just a fresh outlook on the planes.
This happened just after the end of the first part of the game. I'm merely setting the scene.</i>

<i>How much is an angry gryphon to a fleet of spaceships and a small army?</i>
Xion
Apr 20, 2004, 05:37 PM
<i>Powerful, since he makes a huge cloud cover and you can't see him to attack.
And yes, sensors can not pick him up. Too much rain/lightning. And it's very close quarters, so you can't attack it with the ship.
You're better off attacking it on the ground. :p</i>
Risp_old
Apr 20, 2004, 05:45 PM
<i>A good fleet or just a high-power ship can melt the surface of a world and kill everyone on it who is not in a shelter several miles into the ground. While my fleet will never be that cool, I could bombard Ragol with nuclear bombs till your angry gryphon says 'uncle'. No stormclouds can stop that, since if you detonate a dirty nuclear bomb before it reaches the ground it will still spread radioactive fallout everywhere.</i>
Xion
Apr 20, 2004, 05:59 PM
<i>Hm. Ever wondered why Ragol is how it is? Yeah. Nuclear Fallout, almost. Photon Fallout, to be exact.
So your "nukes" may not do much.</i>
Risp_old
Apr 20, 2004, 06:06 PM
<i>Everyone there is immune to harmful radioactive fallout, because they constantly take in something with a similar name? Are they also immune to the damage from burns caused by the heat given off (the most immediate cause of causilties from an atomic bomb)? Are they immune to the mechanical injuries (falling buildings, flying glass, objects shooting around due to the explosion)? Are they immune to the psychological effects (not too much of an issue, since they probably already are very much aquainted with the idea of atomic weaponry, but still)? Are they immune to the combonation of these happening again and again?
Why do you keep saying "you ever wonder why (something) is (something)?"
I do not wonder much about your world, Xion, because you give me such puny information about it that I don't have anything to wonder about.

Buh...*drools* Too much info. NOTHING is immune to pageclaiming, except the pages themselves. X)
Brushing all off the dust the epic battle between L_G and Newb caused from himself, he looked up at his handiwork. There Newb was, frozen in a block of Red Ice, an ice so cold that conventional methods of heatin are useless against it. L_G walked up to the frozen Newb and said, "Told ya," with a sly smirk. "I think I'll just leave you in there until you're ready to answer all of Strato's questions, you little not nice name!"
L_G turned back to the house where Kamikura was waiting. "Are you sure they'll believe you?" he asks.
"If they refuse to believe me, then that's their problem," L_G replies. They both enter the hallowed halls of the home they called Pandemonium Manor.

@Risp: I've been slacking because I have schoolwork to do. So nyah.:p Why not go with good old-fashioned nuclear warheads?
Risp_old
Apr 23, 2004, 02:12 PM
<i>Little of my technology is photon based. My peeps use ordinary bullet-firing rifles. I use a mini-railgun. My ships only use lasers for point-defense. Any atomic and hydrogen bombs I have are not photon based, because they are just ordinary nuclear and atomic bombs. Only one of my characters uses light much (Delta).
Oh, and what about neutron bombs? They kill living things very efficiently, but leave buildings standing- perfect for an invasion.
@L_G- I am considering using nuclear bombs, but Xion is claiming ordinary sunlight and radioactive fallout are one and the same, and thus nuclear bombs are useless on him.</i>
Xion
Apr 23, 2004, 02:16 PM
<i>Photon technology does not have to be all light, you know. Nuclear Fallout has the same effects as, oh, a Photon fallout.
Oh yeah, Olga Flow's still running rampant through the seas...don't want to anger him, now do we? :p</i>
Risp_old
Apr 23, 2004, 02:26 PM
<i>Photon fallout is a meaningless word if you think about it any. Radioactive fallout is matter that was made radioactive by a bomb. This cannot happen with light. Light cannot be made radioactive because it already is radiation. The way radioactive fallout enters someone is by them breathing it in, mainly. You cannot breathe in light, unless you turn your head up and open your mouth.
And I don't know that non-light things can be photon based, because it isn't true. Unless we are using different definitions of photons
I have no idea who Olga's flow is, but I bet if I raised the seas to boiling point he won't be too much of a problem anymore.</i>

<i>It's Beta068, you dolt.
Anyways..about the bombs thing...You are aware that less than 5% of the light spectrum is visible light, right? Yeah...X-rays are a form of light. Radio waves are a form of light...so if it fits in the wavelength spectrum it's considered photon based...since it is in light, just not visible.
If you would stay awake during your science classes, you <u>might</u> learn something. :p</i>
Risp_old
Apr 24, 2004, 07:45 AM

*facefalls* Yeah, I just remembered that... >_< Well, in FFTA there are Judges that watch every battle, and depending on what day it is and what World Law cards are in effect, you have different World Laws. If you break a law that say, outlaws swords, you'll be penalized and lose stats, money, and/or experience. However, if you do something that is recommended by the Laws that day, like casting a spell, you get Judge Points for special attacks. The World Laws change every day.

<i>1) Sorry...my mistake. That was before I knew about your rifles/minigun.
2) Mere absorbtion. Kinda like a sponge. And they use that as a powersource, sometimes. So, it <u>is</u> possible to overload a creature into submission. Though Photon-based weapons that are set to a specific frequency, i.e. photon weapons, do deal damage. Your bombs have a large spread of photon frequency, so they are able to absorb them all at their will...Think of it like slapping a jell-o mold...:p

8:31 AM
Rspss Fr, following Tangent, walks up to the door of a building built into the wall of a mountain. Glancing in the distance at the two bunkers protecting here and the giant skywatcher AA tank rumbling back and forth, Risp is satisfied that Tangent's experimental magic labratory, kept far away from the main base in case of accident, is well guarded. After Tangent signals inside, the door opens and a orange peep comes out. Seeing who they are, the orange peep leads them inside. After walking through several long passageways all leading slightly downwards, they eventually reach a large, dome-roofed chamber. The orange peep goes down a side passageway, but Risp and Tangent continue to the center of the chamber. In the center is a large pit leading far down to the core of the planet they are on. Tangent quickly casts a spell, and a jet of flame erupts from the pit. A moment later, a faint glow of blue light can be seen coming from behind the rapidly thinning jet of flames, strangely illuminating the chamber more than the flames did despite it's low intensity. As the flames totally clear away, it can be seen that there is a rip in space over the pit, spewing blue light from it's edges and hinting at a strange landscape beyond.
Tangent motions to it, and Risp crains to see...
"Behold," Tangent says in a dramatic tone, "the chaos lands."
