But anyway, the cameras should be blocked by isolation. As I said, the break the isolation you need raw power, like that of the warp gates, since the isolation is in many ways better than the Pylon's power. It draws all of the energy usually used to keep things out and puts in it keeping things in, so it is entirely possible for a non-planeswalker with a small knowledge of magic to enter this universe now. The only way for the cameras to work right is if they have the sheer power of a warp gate.

Xion
Mar 27, 2004, 12:55 PM
Suprisingly, no. You need lots of power to planeswalk back, yes, but think of it this way.

you know those doors on VCR's? Push it from one side, it falls easily. Push from the other side...impossible. But, what if you kept the door open? That's exactly what I'm doing with the cameras. I am keeping the path between the planes open via the camera, but not much more.

Granted, I can hop through and hop back, but once EVERY PART ATTACHED TO MY BODY is through, the portal closes. So if I keep my tail wrapped around, oh, some pole in the other plane, I'm fine. I can just hop back through and bam! I'm back.

It's not like the Pylon, which repels planeswalking. This is the exact opposite: You can't go out of it, but you can go into it.

Call it bending the rules, I call it finding loopholes.

Risp_old

Let us look at this quote, from early in on this storyline.
In the past, in the plane the Pylon was before it ceased to exist, a small, strange, black hole in the fabric of space appeared. Giving off unusual energy, it began to warp the universe. Suddenly, the plane isolated itself from others, in an attempt to keep the contamination from spreading. Planeswalkers all over were alarmed. One planeswalker who was leaving at the time the plane isolated only had half of his body transported through. Now, only the highest power of interplanal travel- the warpgates, of which there are only three in the universe, has the power to let people travel freely. And, at this rate, they would need to leave very, very, soon.
This suggests existing portals are terminated also. So, therefore, that is not a loophole you are exploiting. What you are doing now is totally disobeying the rules.

Xion

...true, true...

Xion searches through the ship, when he sees a map on a wall. It showed a planet, and another planet labeled "Ragol" next to it.

"hmm..." Xion says. "It seems that this is not the plane I wanted, for this is my own plane."

Looks like we're both going down. HARD. >=D

The Interceptor II is simply out of control, firing weapons and moving about randomly. The Interceptor II starts spinning in place, pulling Niz's transport back out of the portal. Niz's ship crashes into the Interceptor II, which causes them to both fly into Stratos' ship!

*If Strato and/or Niz have escape plans, please insert them here before the ships collide*

All ships take 10000 damage. Everyone on the Interceptor II is dead (and crispy)and sent to the Shadow Realm.

@Xion: I don't recognize those markings. Maybe they're the letters of the Namekian's (from Dragonball Z) language.

Risp_old
Mar 27, 2004, 01:54 PM
L_G, I already said it cannot move. I already said the portal was too small for anything to pass through. I already said nobody can enter the shadowrealm. You really messed up there.

Lem_Gambino
Mar 27, 2004, 02:05 PM
Well, that's just going to bring up the whole "People are dead and can't go to the afterlife" thing again.

The Interceptor II is unable to anything except fire its weapons in random directions. An Ultima Cannon shot grazes Strato's ship, ripping off the left wing. Jeanie is unable to do anything becuase she and the other crew are all stuck in elevators. D=
Jeanie starts reciting an ancient incantation that L_G taught her a long time ago...

Jeanie's Incantation: 36% done and rising. Fast.

Strato
Mar 27, 2004, 02:27 PM
The Ultima Cannon refracts. Strato's ship suffers no damage. Strato's ship launches it's remaining Det Packs randomly. They all immediatly target the Frigate. The Frigate goes insanely fast away. Battle disengaged. Frigate is no longer confused. Strato signals Niz to release L_G and high tail it to the Warp Gate. Strato guides the Frigate to face the Warp gate. The Frigate has 750 hp left. Eveyone is ordered to an escape pod. Strato streaks off to the Warpgate. When they arrive, Strato sets up an Automated Impact Battery and 3 Automatron Walkers. Strato asks Niz to prime the bomb.
"Alright." She confirmed.
After the bomb was primed and all of that, Strato and his crew finally whent through the Warpgate.

Lem_Gambino

Jeanie cancels the incantation.
Jeanie casts Curaga! The Interceptor II regains 150000 HP. (spells gain power when used during ship battles)

Two minutes later...
"We made it!!" the Helmsman says, looking at the Warp Gate in the distance. Everyone cheers.
"Wait just a second everyone; look!" says Beth, pointing out the bomb and the walkers.
"Ignore them, we have more important things to do," says Jeanie. The walkers open fire but the Interceptor II dodges around them and the bomb, and enters the Warp Gate.
"Dimensional coordinates set," says the Helmsman.
"Engage!!!"
SHOOM! The Interceptor II disappears in a bright flash of light, heading back to Animenia.

A portal opens in a empty stretch of space and the Interceptor II comes out, quickly followed by the portal closing. After a quick scan of the area the Interceptor II's crew realizes they are now on the opposite side of the galaxy from the warp gate.

Please. I have full control over the destination of the Warp Gate, considering I have locked down it's computers. You need to try harder than that. Be glad I didn't send you into one of the holes.

Besides, you never said that the Interceptor II had such a high-powered drive system, yet you used one.

On the warpgate, the supernova bomb ticks down the time...

Lem_Gambino
Mar 27, 2004, 03:34 PM
I think it's safe to say that since the Interceptor II has such a high speed rating that it does have a warp drive.
If the computers were destroyed completely, would you lose control of the Warp Gate, or would the Warp Gate go haywire and destroy everything in the vicinity, or would it just shut down and never be usable again?

Risp_old
Mar 27, 2004, 03:36 PM
If the computers were destroyed the portal would stay open to wherever they had opened to last. However, that would only last a few minutes till the portal enters power conservation mode, laking the imput of it's main computer.

Lem_Gambino
Mar 27, 2004, 03:49 PM
Mweehehe...It's risky, but that the heck.

Jeanie casts Haste! The Interceptor II has been Hasted.
EDIT: The Helmsman flies to the portal.
Beth locks the weapons onto the computers, and fires. The computers are now junkified.
The Helmsman guides the Interceptor II into the portal, enters the coordinates, and blasts off again for Animenia, or whever the Warp Gate takes us.

Well, blarg. I suppose that when I get there the Warp Gate will be gone, huh?
Not on my watch.

L_G cries out, 'Lu Narr, we beg of you...get us into that Warp Gate!!'
Lu Narr appears, and teleports them to the Warp Gate.
Beth fires the weapons and destroys the computers.
The Helmsman inputs the coordinates for Animenia (hoping that the Warp Gate doesn't dump them to wherever Strato and his troops are), and flies into the Warp Gate.

In a patch of space, mostly empty, a portal appears and the Interceptor II comes out. As the portal is closing, a blast of flame shoots from it. The Interceptor II's dimensional transporters are fused in that blast, too badly to be repaired and stuck in too badly to be replaced. So, it looks like the Interceptor II will be stranded for a while, expecially considering this area of space is out of Xion's survalience grid, and too far away for telepathic communication.

A galaxy away, a fleet can be seen. Composed almost entirely of transports, the fleet is in sorry shape. It is near a star system with only one hospitible planet, and no intelligent life. Aboard the fleet's flagship, the Black Arbiter, a tall, greyish-skinned being shakes hands with the general of the Peep Army, with his right-hand man in the background. The imaginary point of view pulls back, and begins to fade.

Part Three- New Beginnings

Note- you have no control over where the portal sends you. After you destroy the computer you can not longer program the portal, and before that the computer was still locked down. It just quickly changed it's end point before you destroyed it.

Xion

@risp: If the plane is not isolated, It's within my surveilence grid.

It's just that I don't look at all the planes at once.

Xion starts to key things into his computer. Tia wakes up from her nap and looks at Xion. She looks...different. Probably from the time bend, but she's still how she was before. "Well, good morning, sleepyhead. I thought you were gonna sleep all day." Xion says, glancing over his shoulder.

"I thought so too, but there's something...different." Tia says, looking around. She looks down and shrieks. "When did these get here?" Xion swivels around in his chair to look.

"umm...those have always been there, Tia." Xion says, with a smirk. Tia pounces on Xion, grabbing him by the ears.

"THEY WEREN'T THIS BIG!" Tia screams. Xion winces, and puts his hand over Tia's mouth.

"Ears!" Xion says, through his wince. Tia releases Xion's ears and sits back down on the bed. "Now, this is perfectly normal. The shells change, along with the world, when a time warp happens." Tia cocks her head sideways in confusion. "Somebody, somewhere, went back in time and stopped Tangent from even being. This made three things happen: First, Soala and Rain were never summoned for battle with Tangent. Second, I never fell to my death and got burnt to a crisp trying to destroy the Pylon. Finally, the pylon never was, so planeswalking is free to that plane."

"Wonderful! Let's go to the plane and kill the bad guys!" Tia says

"There's a catch." Xion says. "The plane seems to be isolated, so it'd be a one-way ticket. We have no clue where anybody is. For all we know, they may be in whole different planes!" Xion swivels back around in his chair. "That's why I'm writing this."

"What is it?" Tia says, leaning on the back of the chair.

"It's a search program. I can look for Chaos signatures with this." Xion begins to explain. "Every person has a unique resonance, which is emitted. Once this signature is matched with a name, that person can be found anywhere. The only problem is that the signature is only tied to the shell, so when they expire the chaos signature gets reset. Strange, I know."

"Let me help you!" Tia says.

"There's a computer in your room with the planal camera system. Look for any ships that are out...specifically the Incerceptor." Xion says to Tia. Tia gives Xion a hug and rushes off.

Alright then. This is in another galaxy in the same plane is you. In this galaxy there is basically a huge version of my mana trap spell in effect. Remember that ancient evil I mentioned, that controlled the second warp gate? It escaped too, and has entered the same galaxy L_G is in, and is even now succesfully fighting to take over the galaxy. It creates such a mana trap effect naturally. This instantly blotted all the magic cameras in the galaxy and turns it into a huge blind spot on any magic sensors you have. It also prevents you from using your portals to get there.

Happy now?

The fleet of the peeps come to the hospitable planet. They pick the most liveable place and land. Immediatly the populus begins to construct a base. Several machines are constructed and begin mining resources. Construction bots and Engineers rapidly put up walls. The transport ships are recycled for their resources. Within hours, a partially functional base is constructed, but the peeps are out of resources. They will have to wait for their stocks to fill up. Radar pings are let off to give Strato basic information about the surrounding area.

Xion
Mar 27, 2004, 05:47 PM
Strato, if it is possible at all to hit Ragol, there's a pretty usable base there called the "Central Dome"

All you gotta do is kick the Dragon out. :p Like that will ever happen.

Tia comes up in the corner of Xion's computer. "The survelience system is not working in certain parts of this plane." Xion nods silently, and returns to coding.

In the still partially-constructed base, the greyish-skinned being is talking to Strato. "And I thank you for letting me and the other lords use the warp gate. Now, I will be buisy setting up the council in this new universe, but I do have a debt of gratitude to you. If you call me, I will help you. And, in such a time of need, your enemies will be sorry for fighting you."

This being's name is Fia'onn. If you remember my explanation of the Cyber Lords, you will remeber him. He is their unofficial leader. And, I might as well give you some more information about the Cyber Lords. All of them are the same species as Niz is, except for Fia'onn. He, instead, is an immortal being who simply chooses to look like the same species as Niz. He is very, very, old, and in his lifespan he learned a lot about the subject that facinates him- computers. He possesses an amazing ability at working with them, and can use the powers he has as an immortal being to do what Niz was doing with the magic amplifier- technological psuedomagic.

Strato gains a new ability-

No, this isn't impossible. While this monster can create new limbs at will, it is very buisy. Chances are if you destroy this limb (which is possible, since you can still shoot at the limbs and you have quite a bit of firepower to match your ego; I would never put you in an impossible fight unless you really ticked me off) and go away at a slower pace (the only reason it engaged you was because you were going so fast and fast targets pose a larger threat to it) it will not care about you enough to engage you. Then, you have two options- you can continue forward and have to go through several battles before you leave, or you can turn back and go towards the monster itself. If you choose the second option you will only have to do one battle and you will be able to leave without hinderance (in fact, the inhabitance of the galaxy would be gracious enough to repair and maybe improve your ship.)

Yeah.

See, if I "stumble" upon something in Gran Da Val, there's a reason. The Gran Da Val base is made of two towers along the southern coast, with my main residence in the western tower. The Eastern tower is mostly storage, and I have no clue what is all in it.

So don't be suprised if I come out with some crazy thing that you claim I never had, since I have a warehouse (literally) full of things I have no clue I had. For all I know, I may have a few more Lotus Maces in there. n.n

Jeanie and co. didn't know the kits were in there. Future L_G must've slipped them in when he was building the Interceptor II. If you're wondering how he found them, he came across a Pawn Shop in the Shadow Realm while he was building the ship that your monster has in it's grasp. Hope that clears things up.

Beth fires an Ultima Cannon shot at the thinnest part of the tentacle, blasting it into two parts. Tentacle takes 57932 HP damage.
The Helmsman flies the Interceptor II away from the beast, at a slow enough speed so that it won't detect it. I hope.

Tentacle takes 247394 HP damage.
*insert Tentacle Monster's name here* takes 48739 HP damage.
Interceptor II takes 74573 HP damage.

The blast flings the Interceptor II out of the galaxy, far from the monster's grasp. The blast also knocks the crew unconsious.

"WARNING- INCOMING VESSEL. UNKNOWN CLASS. NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY KNOWN ENEMIES OR ALLIES," says X-I before the the entire ship goes into Standby Mode. The crew is still alive, but the life support is damaged.

RB: Whoa...what a blast.

CL: There are lifeforms on board....should we beam aboard?

WRB: ...yes, bring them aboard.

In the galaxy, as the Interceptor II is for some reason teleported away by an explosion, another hole appears. Out of this comes a huge, pulsating, one-eyed, spider-like monster, with millions of tentacles going back into the hole. It looks in the direction the Interceport II was flung, and blinks. A flurry of grey energy shoots from it and covers the Interceptor II and all it's crew in a coat of rapidly fading heavy, deep grey, energy. The Monster used Ancient Magic: Planesanchor.

Ancient Magic: Planesanchor prevent the target from moving between planes, and can only be countered by another ancient magic spell.

Oh, and this would be a good idea to bring up the types of magic.
The first is normal magic. This is used by most.
The second is high magic. This is only used by the greatest of mages or those possessing special equipment.
The third is ancient magic. This is only possessed by immortal beings of incredible age, like the Monster.
The fourth is infinity magic. It is the most powerful branch of magic, and is able to be able to create galaxys and travel through time without problems and without time mages noticing. It is said by the immortals the way to see if you are ready to use it is to walk into a paradox hole and survive, since to do that you must live out of time.

"Ah, so Ok. But how I can go to past?" - mage asked.
"Yo'oo have first to get o'oot of this crap. Travelling in time won't work till ooniverse will re-boom."
"So... now what?"
"On planet Ragol, the seven ancients energy crystals are hidden. Boot right now, fo'oor of 'em are find. Yo'oo have to find three remaining. Some people may help yo'oo, doode. And I'll also." - he said.

"Here is the map of three remaining. If yo'oo will get all seven and gather them, they'll soommon a hyperstrong ancient power, that will grant two wishes of yo'oo. I'm soore that it'll help." - being said.

And right then, the temple starts to rumble. The light coming out of god turned red... then yellow... and then, green...

Over the pyramid, a hole in space appears. The monster come out, having been drawn to the source of ancient magic. It stares at the rainbow ship, and begins to speak, by causing nearby objects to vibrate and produce sounds. "A semi-immortal? I see I have some work to do. When I left my home dimension, I managed to take with me a peice of the contamination Lem_Gambino started. It should prove an excellent weapon."

Battle mode on!

Back in it's home plane, the Monster was waging a loosing war against the other immortals and semi-immortals, so it is seeks immortals and semi-immortals in this plane to defeat also. When the Monster talked about taking a peice of contamination with it, it meant that it has a small, contained paradox hole. Ouch.

The Monster-
*Ancient Magic: Planesanchor- prevents any interplanal travel
*Ancient Magic: Eon Aura- Monster immune to spells, and no spells below high magic can be used by anyone
*Ancient Magic: Mass Mind Infulence- Forces all other characters to do 1 action; cannot act next turn
*Paradox Attack- deals infinate damage to 1 target, even if it is immune to damage in any way. If the target is killed (=D) it is lost forever; physical

The Rainbow Crusier beams all three aboard.

Monster takes 999999 HP damage. All of the crew members, The Spirit, The Rainbow Crusier and the Interceptor II have been warped to another part of the universe, somewhere far, far, away from the Monster.

"Back in my old home I was waging war against all my rival immortals and semi-immortals for the control of the universe, and I am continuing this fight here, in my new home. Now, it is time to end this playing around."

The Monster extends a special tentacle forward, and the tip of the tentacle opens like a flower opening it's petals. In the middle of this opening there is a hole of nothingness, held in place by a web of spells and energy. The tentacle jabs forward, pushing a hole through the Rainbow Cruiser, and then erasing it from existance. The monster used Paradox Attack!
The Rainbow cruiser and it's crew are all nonexistant!
The Spirit is nonexistant!
The Interceptor II manages to escape in time!

As quickly as the nothingness eliminated the Spirit and the Rainbow Crusier, a blob of somethingness opens up, reproducing all those that were erased! Atomos used Infinite Magic: Backup!
"So, you are in a war, eh?" says Atomos. "Well, you just lost. You we're going to lose anyway."
"BEGONE!"
A blob of nothingness appears, and consumes the Monster! Atomos uses Ancient Magic: Revenge! The Monster has been erased from existance.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I must assist Lu Narr in reconstructing the universe that was just erased. Toodles." Atomos disappears in a flash of light.

"Now, if there are no more interruptions..." the Spirit says, casting Ancient Magic: Clear on the Interceptor II, removing the the Planesanchor.

MEANWHILE...

"Erg, can't I get some help around here?!?!?!?!??" grumbles X-I. She runs over to the power supply, then transforms herself into energy. She slips out through the cord, then rematierealizes in front of Malta. "I need to...borrow you, Malta."
X-I hacks into Malta's ear chip!
Flowing through the twisting pathways of her brain, X-I reaches Malta's motor cortex. She takes out a big remote control and plugs it in...she now has complete control over Malta's actions.

No, that was a copy of the original characters, not past versions. Atomos always makes backups, and backups for his backups every few seconds. Besides, he is the master of time, and will NOT allow Paradoxes to happen. If that happens, he can just press Ctrl-Z and make look like it never happened.

Changine time without creating a paradox is infinity-magic level, since to do it you must live outside time. Not even the gods know infinity magic. If you have an ally that knows infinity magic you might as well say 'I win" right now, since an infinity mage can destroy the universe with a wave of his (her?) hand, and replace it with another, and round it all off by granting immortality to a passerby with a glance.

And recreating an immortal or semi-immortal is infinity magic also, since recreating an immortal requires you to be able to make an invincible object, and recreating a semi-immortal requires you to be able to make an object that recreates itself without any energy loss. Both are infinity-magic level.

Time for a story. *opens up a book*

Long, long ago, a boy named Lem_Gambino was born. His parents were excellent Pokemon trainers, and he wished to become one too. However, he also had a passion for drawing. One day, on his tenth birthday, he left on his Pokemon journey. On his travels, he came across an powerful artifact called the Millenium Pen. It's ancient magic allowed the user to create or destroy anything within his power, and L_G was destined to use it. With is amazing artistic skills, L_G created his own universe, whom he called Animenia. He wanted to create a webcomic-like universe to call his own, and he created an avatar character: a Kirby repaint who was called Newb. They were happy together, until one day L_G used himself as an avatar character. That made Newb mad, so he declared revenge against L_G. He nearly destroyed the universe by stealing L_G's author powers, but a teenage boy that L_G created as main character for the comic, Kamikura, defeated Newb and saved the day. Yay.

To make sure that something like this never happened again, L_G created the Elemental Guardians, immortal beings that each oversee the 16 elements. Atomos, Ju Narr and the Rainbow Angel are a few of them. They were asked to watch over Animenia, while L_G travel other universes on a personal journey.

Unfortunately, Newb was still alive...almost. He came back and went out to find L_G and destroy him once and for all. To get L_G into trouble, he impersonated him (very well, I might add) and arrived into the Jazz Jackrabbit universe to cause random violence. He attacked Strato, and the rest is history. the REAL L_G didn't show up until much later, when he found out the War Taverners were in danger. The real L_G is in another thread, fighting for the safety of the universe, while Newb fights to destroy it. The Elemental Guardians got wind of this and decided to play along, pretending that Newb was L_G, because they knew that L_G would never attack someone without good reason. They are now following Newb around, waiting until the right moment to reveal his true indentity and punish him. Severely.

That pretty much sums it up. *closes book*

The Millenium pen can create or destroy anything withing your power, and you created universes and immortal beings with it...

Does the real L_G know infinity magic?

Lem_Gambino
Apr 6, 2004, 07:44 PM
No. The Ancient Egyptians that created the Millenium Items in Yu-Gi-Oh researched Infinity Magic, but were unable to totally harness it. Needless to say, it didn't go over well. The gods took pity and enchanted the pen, but hid it until it could be used by someone who could properly use its powers for good. L_G found it, and now he knows Infinity Magic.
HOWEVER, that neither makes the real L_G immortal or all-powerful, and he can only use Infinite Magic in his own universe. And since L_G didn't bring his own interdimesional portal (he prefers to travel by foot), it's difficult to travel between dimensions.

Oh yeah, one more thing...
L_G = REAL L_G = GOOD. TALES OF THE TAVERN.
NEWB = FAKE L_G = BAD. THIRD PERSON THREAD.

Risp_old
Apr 6, 2004, 07:47 PM
So the real L_G can use infinity magic but it is only unlockable by the pen, or something?

How would that work? Infinity magic works by drawing an infinate supply of mana from the beginning of time. To use it you must be able to travel through time without ill effects, and to do that you must live out of time.

Also, if L_G is unable to use his powers out of Anima, how can the immortals he made use them?

Lem_Gambino
Apr 6, 2004, 08:34 PM
-L_G has the powers embedded in him, so he can use them without tapping into the pen.
-Although can use the powers by himself, if the pen is somehow destroyed or erased from existance, it is sent back to the beginning of time. It has to work its way through the ages until L_G gets it back. Until then, L_G loses his powers. The pen itself is the magic source: like you said, it draws power from the beginning of time. It's just that if L_G loses the pen he loses his powers.
-Everything that L_G creates his its own power source. The Guardians can exist even if L_G loses his powers, or dies even. The Elemental Guardians are self-senteint beings.

If you think the real L_G is a threat, don't. The real L_G wouldn't attack you unless you really ticked him off. He'd summon his Guardians in a flash to give his offenders a beating you wouldn't believe. L_G has no interest in destroying the universe or messing up time unless it was absolutely needed. Like I said before:

REAL L_G = GOOD
FAKE L_G = BAD

Besides, you can see the zipper on Newb's costume!

Apr 7, 2004, 05:53 AM
I can't stop you on that one, since by the nature of infinity magic you could make other things that use infinity magic.

*opens another book*
In the beginning of time, all planes were one. Inside this one plane was infinate power. However, when the first creature, a single-celled organism, came into being, it made a choice. It went one way. Suddenly, the plane split. In other planes, the first creature went other ways. In yet other planes, the first creature died soon after, and in some of those, no more life ever came around. Soon, there were an infinate number of planes appearing, sharing the infinate energy of the first plane. In these planes the energy soon was all sucked into the forming stars and radiated off with the sunlight. Such energy, called mana, was only available in small amounts, since inside the stars it was locked too tightly away. Everything, however, was going fine till someone, eons later, discovered the basis of infinity magic.

Infinity mages, to get their energy, draw it from the beginning of time. This gives them an unlimited source of energy. This they do by simply going back in time, easy to them owing to the fact they lived outside time. To travel through planes they went to the beginning of time and went forward, off the path to another plane. This allowed them to go between planes and avoid even the strongest anti-planeswalking devices, since by the time they would get back to their normal time they would have been in their destination for eons, traveled through quickly by time travel. While they constantly cause paradoxes by their time travel, their infinate energy allows them to reverse any damage easily. Infinity mages can make themselves nearly indetectable, even to other infinity mages. But they have a limit; so beware all who try to become one- the infinate amounts of energy they throw around is much more than their body can handle. They block the damage with spells, but the same spells slowly damage their mind. An infinity mage is expected to go insane, no matter how well-adjusted for the role, in around 30 years.

That's why the gods do not know infinity magic- they are too smart.

She hacks into the security network and activates all of the defensive systems, locking all of the doors leading in and out of the building so no one can exit or enter. Malta/X-I hacks into the intercom and says in Malta's voice, "Attention everyone! There has been a security breach. Everyone is to report to the Mess Hall (do you have a mess hall?) for a security check immediately. No exceptions!"

You have no idea what suspended animation is, do you? If I know right, it means X-I is frozen in time. Even AIs are not immune to that, since they do not live outside time. Also, it could not be cured with a remedy.

I don't think so.

sus·pend·ed animation (s-spndd)
n.
A temporary state of interrupted breathing and loss of consciousness resembling death, caused especially by asphyxia

So nyah. And I said that X-I was immune to status effects. Nyah x 2. Now, I must do homework. Do not disturb me or you will feel my wrath! <---empty threat

Spended animation can be more than one thing. Do you think that the definition of suspended animation would be stopping time, considering that we are unable to do so today? I was using the science fiction definition.

Hmm. You're starting to sound alot like Risp in the fact that you're against planeswalkers.

Just because I was unable to assist Jeanie doesn't mean I'm a bad guy!

A few things...

--How can an object, like X-I2, escape from a jar?
--X-I1 is, in fact, stopped in time. And only two things cure complete stops, and even those don't work since the computer is forcing this.
--Malta is not just being targeted, it's the entire area around her. Almost like being in ice.
--And if Tia's behind Xion, watching him, shouldn't she have seen X-I2 getting out of the jar?

Also, we have no mess hall. Each person has their own little food supply in their rooms.

Blargh. This is getting way out of control. The carp that's happening in my life and the carp that's happening here here is just carping up everything. Carp!

I'm sorry to say this, but don't think that this thread should continue. As much as I like RPGs, this one is slowly spiraling out of control. Sure, reasonable stuff happened, but this kind of got out of hand when I started commiting random acts of violence that eventually spawned this game way back in the Thrid Person Thread. And now that we start throwing in time travel, immortal beings and random battles that result in us just sitting around talking about what we just did, it has gotten very confusing.

If this keeps up, I bet the universe will be destroyed and no one will win, or will just keep beating the snot out of each other and keep coming back from the dead to beat each other up again. It's been fun, but now that I look back on it, this whole RPG has lost it's luster. It just doesn't appeal to me anymore.

I've been thinking of starting my own, Pre-Win 3.1-like thread like Radium has, but with schoolwork and the stress of this thread in particular hasn't helped anything. I think I'll just drop out of this game, so I can get some time to do work at school, and maybe get my own RPG set up. I only have until June 4th to graduate, and I will get pretty busy in the meantime. Until the smoke clears, I don't think I should continue playing this thread until I get my thoughts together and my work caught up. It's been stressful for me, and letting this thread go might relieve some of that stress.

It's not that I don't enjoy playing this game with you guys, it's just that everything has gotten so messed that it's getting very difficult to juggle this thread and my life. So I'm going to stop and pull out.

But when I return, I shal have my own RPG, one that will be far superior to Radium's in size and storyline. YA HEAR THAT, RAD?! MY THREAD IS GONNA PWN YOURS!! SO FEAR ME!!! *evil laughter*

...Right.

So, in short:
-Going to stop the Post-3.1 Game since I've lost interest in it.
-Take some time to get caught up in schoolwork.
-Regain what little sanity I have left.
-Make my own RPG that'll beat the pants off of Rad's (not that his RPG is bad or anything, it's very good, but mine will be better! MUCH BETTER!!!)
-Live happily ever after.

And so, I bid this thread adieu. (Wow, that was alot of typing!) *gets onto a wooden horse and rides off into the sun. Literally. Right into the sun itself. So I'll burn up and stuff. Yayay.*

No wonder you spent such a long time typing that.

Well, this all has been productive to me, since it gave me some new characters to play around with and let me hammer out some ideas. Now I just wish the Tales of the Tavern thread would un-die again...

So...I assume X-I will be crashing? She sure isn't gonna be taking down my system!

Xion finally removes X-I from Malta. "There we go." He throws X-I into the same jar as X-I2 and walks off to the East Tower. "I think we should keep you two away from society for the time being." Xion says, opening the door to the East Tower. Inside, there's a single shelf open, the rest are crammed full of other things, like Katanas, Spears, and other Photon weapons. He places the jar, lid-down, on the shelf and leaves.

Tia meets Xion at the door. "So, are they gone?" she says, Malta right behind her. She rubs her head, moaning something. Xion nods, and the three head back for the West tower.

<s>The Peep army escapes.

Me dying would mess up continuity with the Tales of the Tavern thread, since it takes place for me after this.</s>

Cross that. I just realize continuity with the Tales of the Tavern thread was ended when fake L_G went back in time, since in the Tales of the Tavern Tangent was dead and re-animated, and that has not happened now, since fake L_G reversed that. Instead, the Peep Army in the Tales of the Tavern is from another plane where fake L_G went back in time to sometime after Tangent was killed by Xion and came back (but still before the Pylon was finished), and destroyed the universe and caused the evacuation at a later time, and then went back to Animena.

Man, time travel makes things confusing.

Planes are infinite.

Conclusion : Neverending blast of energy would made and destroy 7585757345759070759579345799076906 planes in 0,00000000000000000000001 seconds.

But, while planes are infinate, the amount of energy you are proposing is infinate too. That number you proposed is much, much, much too small. I would say an infinate amount of planes in an infinatly small amount of time.

I think we can still play in this thread, except it would be all random and stuff. I just was pulling out so I could take some time to work on my homework. Which I'm not finished yet with. XP

The backup machine the real L_G built recreates Atomos and the Spirit!
Atomos warps time and space!
Cooba is blasted into a million pieces.
Newb (fake L_G) is sent straight to L_G's penalty box, without passing go, without collecting $200. Good grief.
Everything is right and good in this universe, and all of L_G's Yu-Gi-Oh monsters and stuff that were sent to come and pick up Newb are sent home to Animenia.
Strato helps Fia'onn become ruler of this galaxy.
WRB and her friends are happy back at home in their own galaxy.

We can still continue playing, but it would be all random, kind of like a giant Spot Place. *hopes this makes Strato happy, 'cuz L_G made him unhappy when he attacked him in the Third Person Thread* X(

Actually, it will most likely not. Assuming there still is infinate energy to go around, the conditions will be the same as it was in the beginning of time, except with more than one plane. Xion
Apr 8, 2004, 12:39 PM
Xion, in a final breath within the death of his universe, casts a spell.

A spell so powerful that only the most experienced planeswalkers know. "Upon my death, life will begin again, anew." Xion dies, and the entire world collapses.

Xion is now floating...in nothingness. White surrounds him. "I did it." Xion whispers to himself. "I've finally done it." Xion looks around and sees Malta, Diesel, and Tia, just floating. "They came with." Xion looks around again and notices a few other beings, far off in the distance.

Xion just cast "Planal Ruin" which destroys everything, including his own plane. Powerful stuff, yes, but this just creates a tear in the fabric and it will later mend itself.

"So, our story ends, with a new one to begin. Time heals all wounds, and these wounds have healed immensely." Xion, now aged immensely, closes his book and looks up. His two children smile.

"Wow, daddy. That's a good story!" they say to him.

"Now, it's quite late. I think it's time for you to go to bed!" Xion says. The two children scamper off, and Xion puts his book away. "Hon?" Xion says, poking his head into the other room. His Vieran wife looks up and goes over to him.

"Did you send the children to bed?" She says, and Xion nods.

Wait a second...how did the universe get destroyed????

Risp_old
Apr 8, 2004, 01:33 PM
No idea how it happened. Ask Cooba how.

Xion
Apr 8, 2004, 01:34 PM
Uber planeswalker technique, can only be activated upon destruction of two or more planes. Since the isolated plane was collapsing and the Agol system plane was collapsing, it could be activated.

Imagine taking a whiteboard. Doodle a picture on it. Now, you don't like your doodle. What do you do? Wipe it clean. That's basically what I did...I took down the entire fabric of time myself instead of time doing that and making it worse than it could be.

Now the story has ended, and we can make one of two choices.

1) Start anew later, like how after the planal ruin happened...
2) Leave it at where I ended it.

Risp_old
Apr 8, 2004, 01:36 PM
No, the universe was destroyed before you used your technique.

Xion

Only because it went down within the hour I was on my way home! UN-FAIR!

Risp_old
Apr 8, 2004, 01:55 PM
Actually, that is not true. You know the damage that was dealt to you that killed you to allow you to use that technique? That damage was from the universe blowing up.

Xion
Apr 8, 2004, 02:28 PM
mmm-hmm. And as it was blowing up, and I was dying. It's kinda hard to understand, but it's like all of them all on top of eachother. Universe blowing up, Xion Dying, and Planal Ruin all at once. Though it's kind of weird to think that when Xion was in one of the planes that was crashing. Though it works. Xion just saved his soul's hide through that technique. Yes, Xion died. Yes, the planes went boom. Yes, Xion still exists. Life goes on.

Risp_old
Apr 8, 2004, 02:34 PM
So, basically, you destroying the universe was pointless because it would have been destroyed and slowly recreated anyway?

Lem_Gambino
Apr 8, 2004, 02:48 PM
Actually, that wouldn't happen. Risp said the damage done by Cooba wasn't enough to destroy the universe, since that damage needed to be done had to be infinite, and Cooba was nowhere near that amount...

Two things:
-Cooba can't destroy the universe unless he knows Infinity Magic, which I doubt he can learn unless he can survive a paradox. Like Risp said, to do that, he had to live outside of time, which, unless Cooba is immortal, and he isn't, he can't use infinity magic, and therefore can't destroy the universe.
-Since the universe was never destroyed, Xion's Planal Ruin can't activate, and he can't use it anyway because:
It's not on his skill list.
He's aleady dead 'cuz X-I hacked a battle crusier and blasted Gran Da Val base.
Planal Ruin is considered Infinity Magic, since it affects the universe, and can only be cast by immortals. Last time I checked, Xion wasn't immortal.

That doesn't mean the universe can't be destroyed, it's that Xion and Cooba did impossible stuff that can't happen. So nyah. >X)

L_G Glitches Xion. Planal Ruin no longer exists.

Risp_old
Apr 8, 2004, 03:00 PM
Actually, Xion is sorta semi-immortal (just not old enough at all to use ancient magic; the reason immortals and semi-immortals are the only ones who can is because they can have lived since when ancient magic was first discovered and thus know it. Ancient magic is not an innate skill for immortals or semi-immortals), since dying does not fully effect him and even if his body is destroyed he can easily get a new one. And the damage from the universe exploding would be enough for Xion to use Planal Rune, since it would most obviously kill him.

Lem_Gambino
Apr 8, 2004, 03:09 PM
But the universe didn't explode. And I thought you said that only Infinity Magic could affect the universe.

Risp_old
Apr 8, 2004, 03:16 PM
Cooba never said he was the one who made the universe explode.
Also, Infinity magic is magic which uses infinate energy drawn from the beginning of time. There are some tasks only an infinity mage can draw enough energy by him/herself to do, like creating invincible objects, creating worlds (while this does not require infinate energy it does require a whole lot more than any other type of magic can provide), destroying a plane, reversing a paradox, ect. However, if given enough energy from another source, a sufficiently powerful and talented mage can do infinity magic-like things (albet at the price of killing him/herself and doing a really sloppy job of it, and such spells could easily be refuted by real infinity mages in the plane.)

Xion
Apr 8, 2004, 04:16 PM
Risp has a point there.

Xion is semi-immortal. He can outlive time itself, as can all things. He's just the only thing that can really embrace that fact.

And read between the lines: Xion, telling the stories to his children, is aged. Very aged. This shows that Xion is not immortal, yet he is since he lived through this.

In fact, Xion spared everybody he met. Soala, Rain, Risp, all the peeps, Strato, L_G, Jeanie...Even Tangent. He would have spared X-I but since X-I was just a program and not organic, it could not be spared.

So, in effect, Planal Ruin was horribly botched for all those that Xion didn't know, but was done perfect for those he did know. A true Planal Ruin spell would have saved every soul in existance and kept it's memories, it's being, it's skills...everything. However, all that is lost. All gone. Poof.

So we have a clean slate for Post-3.1 Chapter 2. Which I assume will happen in...Mid June? When we all have spare time?

Risp_old
Apr 8, 2004, 04:33 PM
Well, Xion is more like semi-semi-immortal, since he requires some outside help to come back.

At the age he got in that epiloge, he would have be old enough to be worthy of being taught ancient magic. However, that time will not come in a while...

Oh, and if we agree on this second chapter, we will need more rules. Like, for example, not having a immortal on your side any more than as a summon you have to cast a spell to use.

Xion
Apr 8, 2004, 04:43 PM
Agreed. See, my charectors have immortals on their side that they can summon at any time they wish. The only problem is that these are Totemas, and can only be summoned when at full JP (overdrive).

And also, the epiloge happened about 20 years after the Planal Ruin. So yeah, Xion has gone through plenty of shells to get back to where he was, and to be back with some kind of civilized being. Granted, technology advances much faster in some planes as it does in others, but since Xion finally achieved true "Planesmage" status, he was able to mold the single plane into what he felt like he wanted. Time goes much faster in some planes than it does in others, so he went to other planes and helped the other planesmages fix their worlds. This took a while, but in that time of roughly 20 years of age time, he finally headed back to Gran Da Val... "Home" for his wife had enough of fixing the worlds.

And if you are even remotely curious who Xion's wife is...analyze the post where I put Malta in suspended animation. :)

Lem_Gambino

Argh. My brain hurts just looking at that. Let's just say the universe got reset somehow and we're going about our normal lives until, say, those monsters from the dimension the first Monster came from start busting up the place or something.
