By the way, this isn't a joke, I know a programmer who will be more than eager to do this. He's made some mods for quake 1 blah blah blah, but first I have to get him around my little finger (the easy part, I hope).

Now this is something I wanted to be done: Many game plays.

So... who owns the Jazz2 source code? Epic Megagames? Project2? Gathers Of Developers?

Project2 is gone, so I hope they don't hold the source code, otherwise, It'll be hard to contact them.

I Fear that going after project 2 is a long shot, but talking to the programmers of jj2 would be a good idea.

On the other hand, why not crack the security on jazz, there is bound to be a way to get the sources through the file.

And while your at it, go and finish the unfinished enemies, especially the Rocket turtle, I just cant get him to fly laps around you...

Hey, piece of advice if you're planning on taking on the JJ2-source code:

Instead of focussing on implementing new gameplay-modes, focus on implementing some sort of scripting/plugin-support that will allow the user to modify things enabling them to e.g. create new party-modes.

Thus, when someone creates a new party-mode other users only need to download the plugin and install that. If there's an update you'll only need to update the plugin and not the entire main-JJ executable.

Also, keeping one main version of JJ (v1.25? ) avoids confusing. Imagine everyone creating their own version of JJ2!! AAAAARRRGGGGHH!!

BTW If someone is to tackle on the source-code, update some stuff like the music-/sound-engine while you're at it. Don't y'all hate it when you've picked some music and JJ2 totally scr*ws it up? And how's about fixing some of those notorious B.U.G.'s?

Sheesh, I'm sure he won't like to spend his entire time working on all the little extras all you ask for. Team Battle is prolly the most wanted feature (and a VERY nice one to get the clans going) so I'll take that. Fixing all the bosses and stuff will take time. Oh, Haze, what you mentioned there will take AGES. Why not just cash out the source code instead? There are enough programmers to work with it.

Shadow GPW (boss), if you see this post: Remember that e-mail you gave me? Well, I WANT IT AGAIN! I lost it when I sold my PC to Commander Dats.

Fixing the unfinished events would make gameplay more interesting. And making Devan a playable character would be even more of a good thing.

Besides that, there could also be a way to equalize jazz 1.23 and the secret files, something that would take away the cove between the two split parts of the community.

If there are enough programmers, why not let all of them do a small part to all of this and have a forum of some kind to get all the bugs to fix and all the unfinished events.

There could even be a jcs upgrade to make events placable on ALL LAYERS.

Fear: no new characters could be introduced because there basically is no data for them. You'd need the animations, special moves, sounds, and whatnot.

Actually, there is something like that but different...called TEC JJ2, I've seen it be played, to the normal player it appears to be a bunch of random number animations, but in actaulllity to anyone who has it it is a enw charecter lookin kinda like a boar. Many will deny it but it exists.
