J2MC Season 2 Details

* Because of lack of motivation, I decided to cancel the loser bracket. The grand-final between LB and BFRE will be played next weekend.

However, I have some news related the next edition of J2MC. It'll be a dueling tournament which will use completely new three-five levels that were especially designed for competitive playing. A contest might be held as well. As it seems now, the tournament will begin in July.

Stay tuned

Meh, the good thing about J2MC was that it was a 2on2 tournament

if it was so good why were they so many unmotivated players, tons of forfeit losses, etc?

I blame the poor lineup that seemed stacked against lots of people.
I mean, you should've known it'd be near impossible to get two europeans, one australian, and one american to be on for a duel at the same time.

In fact the only bad part was the poor organizing, which lead to unmotivated players, and forfeits.

that wasn't the real problem, there were only three non-european competitors.

Bah, Those epic guys should start organizing tourneys, perhaps make a golden edition of jazz jackrabbit and sell it in shops, to get more people playing it!

I can imagine how much hacking would be involved if such a tourny with such a prize existed.

You two are funny men.

I don't believe Epic came even close to making 1,000,000$ off JJ2, so it doesn't seem so likely that they'll feel like making a tournament with any prizes at all. Besides, they'd claim that people don't finish their matches, and they'd probably be right, since every time someone here tries to organize a tournament, some people who have to leave in the middle of it because of holidays keep signing up (for the record, I'm not referring to anyone in particular, I just noticed that kind of thing seems to happen a lot). That, and people seem to be blissfully unaware of the existance of e-mail, and claim that they can only play if all four players randomly get online on an instant message client at the same moment.

Maybe so, but one can hardly pass up any possible opportunities to crush other peoples dreams.

On topic: nice idea and good luck. I'm not signing up though, since I'm not quite sure if I'll have enough time to join in.

The problem was that too many teams were in. When there are demands like "I WONT START TOURNEY IF NOT THIS MANY CLANS SIGN UP" unmotivated/bad clans/teams will sign up.

I think that a 2v2's LADDER would be much easier to organize. However, I am not sure if a ladder could be more interesting than a double elimination system ;P In fact, I doubt it could

What a pity that JJ2 doesn't have a ClanBase ladder...=P

So... J2MC is also turning into a Duellist Tournament? I think it would be wiser to join forces and merge J2MC and JJ2WC into one tournament, in that case. Having two seperate tournaments like this will only cause more problems.

What about a server with the biggest amount of players? (13vs13)
Perhaps make a clanbased 13vs13 which would be , VS, FoR vs. CC, DM, RR

That reminds me, I thought of a Treasure tournament a while back too.
Then I thought of Jazz Ultima. It involves Battle, CTF, Treasure Hunt, Race, Tests and Team Battle. =D

Biggest amount would be 16v16...
...and great idea, except I've tried that a long time ago and it became the (second) 8v8 in the end...

EDIT: and u know NOTHING about lag, if u haven't played one game as such
I had 2 reboot and restart twice... ;]

Oh, and I'm rather disapointed with TBBR. Can you tell me the real reason for cancelling the loser's bracket instead of giving out lame excuses?
