Regarding XP >o.

Okay. So.

I might be upgrading to XP sometime soon, and I've heard about some bad things happening between XP and JJ2 netgaming. Is there anything I need to be worried about, any patches I need or programs I have to download?

Thxplz.

Windows XP has a built-in firewall that might be on by default (I can't remember). You can either turn it off (though make sure you have a router or something like ZoneAlarm), or configure it to allow JJ2 connections (ports 10052-10054 TCP and 10052 UDP).

i'v had 0 (zero, ziltch, none, absolutely nothing, -1 +1, goose egg) problems with jazz and xp.
just unblock jazz.exe from the windows firewall and open ports 10052-10054 TCP and 10052 UDP.
make sure u also get sp2 for xp, because the older firewall from oem and sp1 isnt the same.
pm me if u cant find out how to get it

Heh. I've had enough trouble with my router firewall. But now that it's all set up there, I s'pose I can simply take off the XP firewall, right?
