Go E, N, push the crystals into the sleeping bag. And wrap the Foodbar piece in one of the Foodbar Wrappers.

Crumple up the foobar wrappers into little balls, and place them in a pile in the middle of a room.

Feng-shei may help with the situation, maybe.

This reminds me of Notpron. You can make a very elaborate theory which doesn't lead you anywhere.

Notice how NE and SW rooms are related. SW has a raindrop and a triangle, while NE has a needle and a pyramid. Both the needle and the raindrop have got one sharp edge, and a pyramid is composed of triangles. Same goes for NW and SE: NW has two tetrahedrons which could relate to SE's pyramid. It has a cube, which could also relate to the flat square in SE. NW also has a cylinder, which could relate to SE's sphere. Obviously the crystal from the sleepbag, the fountain water and the carving also have some impact on this puzzle, and it shouldn't be too hard to figure them out...
Also:
Quote:
time passes as one approaches the end
No idea what this means, will try to figure out later.
Quote:
a step forward can take any form
"form" could possibly relate to how this the key elements have the form of geometric figures.
Quote:
outside it matters that face of the commands stay constant
Also didn't clear this one out yet...
Quote:
there is no reason at all to be on the edge of caution
"on the edge of caution" could be the edge of a crystal room (the entrance). Go into a crystal room and examine the ceiling if it is fully covered with steel spikes?
Quote:
before you move, the point is simply to face left
Spin (not move!) the pointy edges of figures to the left?
And also,

The three vital points of the carving is the lock, the smaller square (could be a door?) and the pointy thing. It could be very well an arrow, but also it could be tetrahedron or a pyramid (or both?). One thing which doesn't make much sense are the bigger squares, which are abound. Hmm...

Wow. I'm impressed with your puzzle solving abilities.

Uh...spin the crystals so that their pointy edges face not left, but toward the central room with the fountain? Then put the gem thing on top of the fountain or something.

And please don't do the first part of Ae's command because it'll get us impaled.

Wow. People are actually beginning to think puzzle-wise rather then 'lolz we can outsmart the DM'-wise.

Or we could align the similar-shaped gems with each other. Or we could make Araches stand somewhere and make them all point at her.

I thought that maybe the sleeping bag would allow you to take the crystals out of the rooms, since there was a crystal in it. The camp people might have figured that out.

I doubt it, AE. That would be tearing it from its beloved floor and room, and thus most likely ending in Shuri-impalage.

But not to gems. Either way, Shuri doesn't like getting impaled very much, and taking the gems off the floor or out of the room is probably not the best way to solve this puzzle.

The crystal you found in the campsite was not taken from any of the rooms in the first place.

Yeah. If we separate the gems from the floor or the room, Shuri will get impaled, and likely die.

Boggy: Shuri would still be in pain, if not as much.

I'm getting the feeling that only me and Boggy are the only people actually thinking how to solve this.

Take a handful of the fountain water, tell Fooruman to dispell it.

I re-wrapped my portion of the foodbar in case I got hungry later and stuck it back in my pack. "This puzzle isn't going to get any more solved unless we think really hard," I addressed the group. I went on, "What do we have? Rooms with crystals, whenever we take something we end up getting stabbed. Well, I do, anyway." I didn't usually like taking command of situations, but I seemed to be the only one willing to try anything dangerous.
"I could summon the War Acupuncturist to h3lp with healing," Leetzan proposed. It sounded like a fair enough idea.
"Do that," I commanded, "also, I've been thinking about the inscription on the wall. The part about forms could refer to the forms of the crystals, and the 'point is to face left' could mean we're supposed to turn all the crystals so they point left. It's not much, but it's a start."
"How do you make a pyramid point left?" Faw asked. I didn't know the answer, so I decided to look like I was doing something important. I knelt down next to the fountain and held the irregular crystal I had found underneath the falling water. The water bounced off and flowed over the crystal's surface, but, much to my disappointment, nothing beyond that happened.
Araches watched my actions with an eyebrow raised. "Hon, what are you tr-"
"More than you're trying," I interrupted, frustrated with the sorceress' criticism and lack of assistance. "Look, we don't know what we're supposed to do, if anything. The fountain might do something special. Speaking of that, Fooruman, try dispelling the water."
Fooruman glanced down at the rippling water of the fountain. "As you wish, sir," he said. The wizard began chanting slowly as he hoisted his canoe paddle off the icy ground. His eyes glowed and a mighty roar of wind rushed through the room. He dramatically brought his paddle down on the surface of the water with a crack noise. The paddle snapped in half and thunder (indoors thunder, I guess) cracked in the background. The water rose from the fountain and let out a demonic scream. Then, everything was silent.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Kin, but this is just ordinary water," the old man explained.
"What about the screaming and the lightning and stuff?" Faw asked, "That wasn't there the last time you dispelled something."
"It was probably just smaller," Fooruman said, providing no further explanation.
By now Leetzan had completed her summoning, and an old man in Arabian attire stepped forward, holding two needles in each of his long-fingered hands. "Whehr ehs my ahssistence neeted, mastehr?" he asked me.
"Nowhere, yet. Probably soon, though," I responded, waiting for another bad idea to hit me.

I wish Dev would come back soon. I can't do dialogue as fluidly as he can D=. I keep feeling like you guys are going to forget who's in the party if I don't have someone talk for too long. For reference, it's Shuri, Uberbob, Araches, Faw, L33tz4n, Fooruman, and the Acupuncturist.

*thinks*

Head back to the carving room, and try touching the carving. Make sure the Acupuncturist is ready in case touching the carving results in impalement.

Edit: new plan:

Head north to the carving room. Walk up to the carving. Turn 90 degrees left. Take one step forward.

Edit: even better plan: Summon a Mythslayer, and get it to walk off the walkway instead of us.

A new idea struck me. "Leetzan," I addressed our summoner, "I need a Mythslayer. I want to try something.
She nodded with agreement, but added "Shuri, w4tch out with the summons. We never know when we could b3 under attack and need them."
"Don't worry," I said as she raised her hand, calling forth a green light. The mythslayer, clad in a long black coat and with a sword in his hand, stepped out of the greenness, striking an overly dramatic pose.
"What evil calls for my blade at this hour?" the Mythslayer asked in his usual mysterious voice.
"Puzzles. Follow me." I told the rest of the party to remain there and investigate the room further and led the mythslayer north to the room with the inscription. A deep chasm reached down as far as the eye could see to either side, split by a narrow, icy, luminescent walkway down the middle towards the inscription. "I need you to walk directly towards the carving on that wall, then turn 90 degrees left and take a step forward."
The Mythslayer looked out across the bridge and then back at me. "There's a pit."
"I think it might be fake. There was this cryptic poem thing that says to step off the edge. Like in Indiana Jones."
The Mythslayer hesitated a moment, then reluctantly strode out on the walkway. When he reached the end he looked briefly at the writing for himself. Probably deriving the same interpretation, he turned left, stepped forward, and fell off the cliff. "Ccuuuuuurrrrsssseeee yoooooooooouuuuuu....." I heard him call as he fell, followed by a "..uuu - Hey, I found evil!" and the sound of claws tearing a person apart limb by limb. I thought it would be better not to mention this to L33tz4n.

Well, it was worth a try. And we now know what's down there.

Back to the original plan. Walk up to the carving and touch it. Poke it, prod it, look to see if any part of it's loose or reacts to being touch. And then, finally, get Fooruman to taste it.

(j/k)

...yes, casting lightning to luminate the pit is a good idea...
After that, go to each gem room and pick up a the gems facing left (east)
then sidestep out of the rooms while still looking left...

Eh. I could get Leetzan to whip up another Mythslayer later. In the meantime, I went up to the carving and carefully examined it.

time passes as one approaches the end
a step forward can take any form
outside it matters that face of the commands stay constant
there is no reason at all to be on the edge of caution
before you move, the point is simply to face left

I extended my finger and poked the carving in the lock-shaped part. Then the triangle, then each one of the squares and every letter of the inscription. There was no effect. I ran my hands over the carving's surface. It was ice cold and semitransparent, but completely solid and no different than the rest of the cavern.
A faint echo of something moving caught my ear and I froze to listen. However, nothing followed.
"Araches," I called into the room to the south, "come here." The sorceress complied.
"Hey, hon."
"Lightning down into the pit," I commanded.
She folded her arms across her chest. "That's no way to ask for hel-"
"Do it or I push you into the pit," I interrupted.
"No you won't."
"No, I will," I responded staring her directly in her eyes and internally debating whether I should've just pushed her off and made a point. The others would probably have been angry with me, though.
"I still say you're hot when you're angry," she teased, adding "well, which is most of the time." She waited a moment for a reaction from me and, when one didn't spawn, leaned against the wall and snapped her fingers. A blast of lightning materialized out of the air next to her and shot down into the void below. I stared intently over the ledge. The bolt went down as far as the eye could see and disappeared into the darkness. I did, however, hear a high-pitched reptilian hiss over the sound of the thunder. I hoped to myself whatever made it was dead now.
I nodded, satisfied. "You can go now."
Araches fluttered her eyelids. "Not even a thank you?" I didn't answer. "Next time you want me to do you a favor, I'm going to make you first take off yo-"
"Bye now," I scowled. The scantily-clad sorceress winked, bowed dramatically, and left to rejoin the party.

I was beginning to feel quite frustrated with people in general. My party had proved to be incompetent, looking to me for both leadership AND using me as a guinnea-pig for their trap-testing. And there was way too many people in it. Hell, I couldn't remember most of their names, even. It needed a trim, I thought to myself.
"No," I told myself mentally "you can't do what you're thinking. You are succumbing to your impulses. You'll end up like Uberbob." The thought made me shudder. But, then again, Uberbob's impulses had no logic behind them, no reason, and often no effect. I had a clear-cut idea of what I wanted to do and a means by which to do it.
But who? If I were to indeed use this chasm to my advantage, Araches would be too powerful - the last thing I wanted was to be struck by a bolt of lightning as she fell. Even Uberbob had the magic abilities capable of getting back at me if I tried anything sneaky. It was unlikely he would, but I didn't want to take that chance.
Fawriel and Fooruman, well, they were healers. I couldn't risk losing healers, especially here of all places. If I wanted to defeat this Blackraptor figure, I was going to get hurt. Bad, probably. Faw and Fooruman were out of the question.
Leetzan came to mind. I didn't like Leetzan. She whined too much. And she was never very helpful. Sure, the summons were nice and all, but not worth the whining. And her name was spelled weird. Thus, it was settled.

I walked south into the room with the fountain. I felt a bit nervous, but shook it off, faking a shiver. "Leetzan, I need your help with this," I told her.
"With what?" she asked.
"I need your amazing hacking skills for this puzzle." Her eyes lit up a bit as though she would finally get a chance to do something, and she followed me north. I let her walk out on the icy bridge first.
"What did you need?"
I pointed at the puzzle on the wall. "I think there's a screen or something there, in the smallest square. Take a look."
The snake girl peered into the square intently, her glowing white eyes reflecting on the glassy surface of the ice. I quietly drew my blade and walloped her in the back of the head with the handle. Her head bashed against the ice, leaving a mark of purple blood, and she slid off the ice bridge. I watched her fall into the chasm below until she disappeared from view, shortly thereafter followed by the sound of flesh being torn apart by claws.
I smiled, then realized what I just did. I really didn't think this through - it was going to look awfully suspicious the way she suddenly disappeared and a blood mark appeared on the wall. How I was going to explain her disappearance to the rest of the party?
