Ok, i think this pretty much qualifies as Techie Help o_O;

Well, this happened a few weeks ago, i double-clicked on my Jazz2 icon on the desktop, and it had the black screen, just befire loading, then, it quit, everything then suddeny turned into 16 bit colour and the screen resolution was 600 x 400 and i couldnt move the mouse! However i could move by my arrow keys. I would open up the dysplay settings, but it would say, "Rundll32 has caused and error. Rundll will now close, blah, blah,blah and it goes into the correct resolution (which is now 1152 x 864) but it is in a small area, in 1/5 of the screen in the top left. The cursor still does not move. In the end i have to re-start the computer all over again.

This is still going on. I think it has something to do with my Jazz2.exe. Although none of my programs have shown signs of causing this.

Ive tried a virus check with a program "Scandisc" (sp?) which comes with my operating system.

Technical Information:

OS: Windows ME
Current Resolution: 1152 x 864 (size of computer screen)
How long has this been occouring?: approx. 2-3 weeks.
Any explanation or ideas?: No.
Has this happened before?: No.

I think it has something to do with JJ2, (OH! BTW THIS HAPPENS TO MY TSF TOO) but i cant be certain. I dont have enough information.

I hope you can help

Edit: I know this wasnt smart, but i deleted the windows file Rundll32.exe ^-^;;, but i think the errors might have stopped. But ic ant say for sure. But it has heck trying to figure out if it was GDI.exe that caused the error or Rundll32. Neways cyaz ^-^;

Well, if you deleted RUNDLL32.EXE, the least I can say is that the errors probably will, in fact, stop, along with your system booting.

You deleted rundll32.exe? Most likely, your OS probably restored that file to its original location. ME/NT/2K/XP has Windows File Protection which restores essential system files if it gets modified or deleted.

Anyway, maybe there's some kind of a software/hardware conflict. Some programs likes to install itself behind people's back.

Try closing unnecessary process/application and see if problem persist.
