Eyecandy – Okay
This tileset is limiting with eyecandy, but it’s a nice try there.
Gameplay – Good
Good gameplay, actually.
Hardness – Bad
Very easy to complete. Races should be hard to complete, like Foo Races.
Size – Very good
Not too big, not too small. Very nice size here.
Overall – Good

Let’s begin with the review

GAMEPLAY/DESIGN:
Hmm…..Gameplay was good, I wished it were a bit harder but it was ok…
There were some original ideas and the level has a good size I think. Also that freezing enemies event that freeze Jazz and not his enemys ;-P was used. But there are still some comments…
At the first time I played I got stuck on 15,28
Then the level is unfair to players who don’t use Spaz, because they must shoot the generator before they can get up. And the generator is in the wall so it’s hard to hit it. Then there should be a reward morph after the springs so not all the players have to play with spaz. Ammo was a bit sparse, only a little bit Freezer ammo, that’s all
Overall the gameplay was ok.
PROS: Some original ideas, good size
CONS: spaz biased, too easy, too less ammo
Rating: 7.5

TILESET/TILESET USE:
Dx used a tileset from Waz that I didn’t saw before. It looks a little bit like Mez03 but it is ok. There wasn’t any tilebug, if you see one your eyes are better than mines ;)
The eyecandy wasn’t amazing, but it was ok. Now Dx put in a background (and not only layer 5)
That was good, DX but now there isn’t any foreground ;-p
PROS: No tilebugs, background
CONS: No foreground, not amazing eyecandy

WEAPON/ITEM PLACEMENT:
There wasn’t much ammo, only some freezers but too less of them. TNT also makes really much fun in race levels, dx. I saw no items, but I don’t know what items you could set in race, so it is ok.
PROS: little bit of freezer ammo
CONS: Too less ammo, no tnts
Rating: 5.0

REPLAY/FUN FACTOR/ORIGINALITY:
Hmm….I think I will play this again with my friend, but there wasn’t too much fun. I think that’s because it is too easy. There were some original ideas like that ‘animating walls’ or what this should look like or those freezing things.

CONS: too easy, not too much fun

OVERALL:
It was good, not the best race level ever but ok. There wasn’t too much fun, but the eyecandy can be seen and Dx had some original ideas. Bad thing is that its spaz biased.

CONS: too less ammo, not too much fun
FINAL RATING: 6.0
DOWNLOAD RECCOMENDATION: Sorry, only if you search a big, not too hard race level

Hey,

Dx, this is really, really, your best level ever. But still not perfect ;P j/k…

Eyecandy:
There is only 1 tile in the tileset so it’s very easy to make a good eyecandy. The background is very nice too. Layer 7… The tubes have a ‘Automatic Speed’, that’s a little negative.

Gameplay:
The gameplay isn’t so good. There’s almost no variation and if you shoot the destruct tiles, they are invisible and you can run tough it, and if you shoot it again it will explode. At the top of the level is a suckertube. It’s very bad to make a suckertube without suckertube tiles and in a race level. In the begin are there springs too. That’s more for a test-level. Other people can freeze it etc. etc. The ‘Freeze Enemies’ event after the long suckertube is good placed, but it respawns too slow.

Weapon Placement:
6 ice….. I don’t have more to say about it.

Overall:
Dx, good work. It’s a good level (for you) and I like the eyecandy. Make next time more variation in weapons and gameplay.
