Description

Last updated: 1st March 2005

This is a zip of MIDI’s transcribed to MIDI from a large portion of music tracks from the Jazz Jackrabbit game(s). This includes:

—-*ALL* original JJ music
—-*ALL* original Holiday Hare music
—-3 JazzCD music
—-6 Jazz2 (incl. TSF) music
—-*NO* Jazz3 (unreleased) music

Note: Steven Picken sequenced Tubelectric, Medivo and World Clear originally. Goku7 had some involvement with the Medivo (XG) MIDI.

All was sequenced using WinJammer Professional with an XG MIDI synth, and note reference help by LifeAmp. (Maz-tools)

MIDI Files is way better than MP3 Files!

they are okay.. but i haven’t got a clue where to use them for :P. i just think it’s a bit useless. and converting isn’t really something where skills are needed.

Very very nice. Lot of them much cleaner/enjoyable than the original. Too bad, that there are only a few of these.
— For who can’t understand why is this better than mods: Mobile phones can play mids, and mids are much smaller than the mp3s. Even some apps written to Nintendo DS can play mids.

I’m still waiting for ThunderPX’s upload to be removed. A fair amount of bugfixes were made after his/her upload. (And at least then, any changes I’ll add to this zip, save me time scrambling around for seperate MIDI’s)

Danyjel: No actually, this project was started 12 months ago from now. You probably don’t like MIDI’s in general and I can understand that. They’re an underestimated music format, and many people have to put up with the terrible soft-synthesizer most computers have called the Microsft® GS Wavetable Synth™.

Okay, so what we have here is a nice little group of songs, which like MaliceX said, span JJ1 and some JJ2, sadly not JJ3D [I call it 3D Because that’s what it actually is. Go find the leaked version online]. There are 2-3 different variations of every song, each uses slightly different instruments. I liked some of them, like the Haunted ones and the the Diamondus ones. [that’s my opinion, don’t downsize my review because of it]. But, I didn’t like some of the others, like the medivo and letni ones. They weren’t quite so hot to me. But nice work, and n/a dl rec.

Yours MIDIs sound good. But in Marbelara, Jungrock and Exoticus you should have used a E. Piano 1 extension rather than a E. Piano 2 extension in the chords.

“This quite a nice sound pack, but there are some incorrect sounds. Oveeall pretty nice.”

Ah, primary school me, you never cease to amaze me. It feels interesting coming back to review this after 7 years, 15 years since the files upload. These MIDIs helped me and encouraged me into soundfont creation which I now do as a hobby. God bless you MaliceX for your MIDI work, my only complaint is the excessive looping(which is an easy fix that I’ve already done.)

Actually, it would have been better to upload just the Castle MIDIs alone, because the rest has already been uploaded once. We’re very sensitive about double uploads because we want to keep our bandwidth usage to a minimum. Hope you understand.

What’s so cool on converting music to midi format? What’s better on MIDI than any module? Is there any fun on doing that? Or what is reason to do that?
