Rating Spaz Mission:

To start:
This not particular episode has eight levels which has not been created even nicely.

So-so Eyecandy:
This episode has 8 levels and is a fairly long episode. But the eyecandy is not always even good. In the Beach-level is it very well, but I am not entirely satisfied about the eyecandy in a lot of other levels…

End Bosses:
This episode has many end bosses at the exit. In the third level (Beach) is that not entirely in order, because the Uterus Boss has come on me before I have reached an Activate Boss-event…

Insipid final:
Final level exists only a fight with Devan, that is everything.

Conclusion:
There are therefore considerably what shortcomings. However, this episode is not at all bad for everyone who likes ordinary levels, does not find it terrible that the eyecandy is not even well and that the Uterus can appear suddenly…

I’ll just rate this as a pack rather than level-by-level since most of the levels were essentially the same.

Eyecandy 1/5 : There was a serious lack of it! I recommend that after you finish the actual gameplay part of the level, you need to add more scenery. Most of the levels were very plain and repetitive when there WAS scenery.

Gameplay 2/5: The levels were long enough, and I’m sure you spent a lot of time on them, but the gameplay was not all that interesting. Most of the areas were crammed with baddies. Killing mobs of baddies is fun, but you will bore the people who download the pack because they get tired of killing them! It’s much better to place your baddies in spots where they will cause trouble for the player rather than making huge mobs of them. Example: Put float lizards around areas where there are platforms that you could fall off. You also did a lot of copy+pasting with certain areas. That will also bore the player. Ammo placement was good. There were probably too many carrots, but they worked out fine for the amount of baddies that were in the level. I recommend that you start adding puzzles to your levels instead of baddies, though. There was simply too much repetition for it to be fun.

Tileset/Music 0/1: Nothing new or different. There goes your bonus :/

Originality 1/5: I enjoyed the part in the jungle level where the player gets a glimpse of the boulders that are about to crush him.

The best advice I can give you is this: add more eyecandy for your levels, find alternate ways of making your level challenging, and avoid repetition.

SPAZ MISSION REVIEW:

EYECANDY: The Tilesets were used quite well especially the Beach level. There could have been more Eyecandy in the other levels. 7/10

GAMEPLAY: The levels were quite long and hard to finish. But the enemies made it far too hard. Level 8 was just a short Boss level with no items at all. 5/10

OBSTACLES/ENEMIES: Now this is the part that really let this pack down. There were way too many enemies in all of the levels, especially in Level 1, far too many Bees. Yes, having enemies in levels is good but not over 100 of them. Shooting enemies all the time can get boring. 5/10

MUSIC: There’s no point in rating this since it was the JJ2 music. N/A

PICKUPS: There was a bit too many Gems in Level 2 (about 300). The coins were quite hard to find. There wasn’t many 1UPs though so getting Extra Lives would be hard. 6/10

TOTAL = 23/40 (5.75)
Rounded to 5.7

PLUSSES/MINUSSES:

The End Boss text event in Level 3 said “Level 1 Clear!”. No points will be deducted.
I really liked the way you could see what was coming up in the Jungle level. +0.5
There was a bug in the Jungle level. The Bubba boss ended up going off the screen. -0.2

OVERALL MARK: 5.7 + 0.5 – 0.2 = 6
