This file contains source code showing how to read the layer of a level, map it in terms of tile references and then use the tiles in the tileset to build a PNG picture of that layer.
It also handles animated tiles, which are replaced by the first tile in the animation.
A binary is included AS A COURTESY.
It can also output the 4 data streams of the level and the tileset if the proper parameter is given.
Consider this an extension on the topic of how to handle the jazz2 file formats, a topic whose main contributions are Neobeo’s tileset extractor and also his specifications.
It’s a console program, just run it without arguments and it will print out usage information.
Anyhow, making this easy to use was never the purpose of this program, as it is explained in the description. However, anyone can take this and make a nice GUI if he wants to, as long as he does it under the terms of GPL.
Wow! This is an nice utility!
Works really great, but I miss a GUI, maybe you can keep the window from closing when doubleclick on the program.
I don’t know C++, but it looks like PHP, and ICE M A N has created a PHP that read the tileset to PNG. This could be possible with PHP, I will try to make it :D
Fantastic, It would have get a ten if it had a Graphical User Interface, but 8 is enough. I really like it!
Download Recommendation: Yes, this is nice! =D Keep up coding :)
