No winamp-plugin or seperate replayer available... yet. Maybe we'll see some interesting developments on this in the near future, emphasis on "maybe". I can not say more. :P

You *should* be able to find the original file that was made into the custom .j2b with a bit of sleuthing.

www.modarchive.com, www.scene.org, or www.ojuice.net should be good places to start

You're right! I also found 7thheaven.j2b from Operation Clone Killer in MOD format on ModArchive.
The source code ain't released that's why playing them outside JJ2 is impossible.

There's no j2b2mod.exe, but mod2j2b.exe is available.

You can easily recode mod2j2b to conver j2b files into mod files.

Or, you can download Modplug Tracker from Modplug.com. You can use is to convert .J2B files to .S3M files or whatever, so a player like winamp can play them. You can also use it to convert Jazz1 music files (.PSM, I believe). Speaking of which, I'm listening to Tubelectric right now.

PSM files were compressed S3M files I think. You could at least open them with MODPlug Tracker. There's no way to play or open J2B files outside Jazz2 since the source code isn't released.

You can make music by getting a program like MODPlug (use Google to find it) and then using the MOD2J2B convertor. I can't remember where it is, unfortunately; it is somewhere though. Perhaps on Haze's Hideout?

You can use the mod2j2b program to turn the files Modplug makes into j2b files.

This thread has revived so many times it's not even funny. The worst part is that it has always been the same questions and answers. By the way, this is a 2-day revival.

But songs avaible on LoriCentral are a little different than songs in JJ2 (patterns are arranges in another way, etc.). Are they avaible in original version somewhere? If not, maybe we should resort to author and ask for original versions of tunes ? Ok, i know, i'm complaining... but i like, when modules sounds identical as in game.

Try sending Monolith an email. I think he has the ingame music as MP3.

That's exactly the thing, these are the versions he had on his drive. The versions that were used in the game probably have been lost. :\

Too bad...

But i think, that i know another way to get it.
I noticed, that this .s3m files include all patterns, which have been used in game. In that case, we can simply rearrange patterns to get modules in form, which will be probably the same as in the game. I am wrong ?

Look at this: http://www.modules.piwko.pl/mods/pcg...ry%20Level.s3m
I just rearranged patterns. It sounds like ingame music now

I have discovered 2 tracks in Jazz2 game which aren't MOD released. One of them is the Boss1.j2b. I have asked Alberto about this.

I think it's obvious that if a .mod can be converted into a .j2b, then it should be possible to change it back. I'll try MODPlug Tracker and see if it works.

I just read all the posts. Hehe, that would be really keen if there was a mod2j2b program then player.

Listen up people, I was talking to Alberto now and he said he'll make the program if someone can tell him what .j2b's compression is..the compression is said to be something that only the game knows how to play

It's pretty much unknown how the compression works. Well, some is known, but I don't think certain people will appreciate it if I post it on here.

Okay, thing is one of the peeps over at Guerilla said they'd take a look at it if they'd ever get their hands on a copy of the source-code. Unfortunately that was the last I ever heard of them, so it's safe to assume they're also still waiting. <__<
