No sound or music in windows 2000

Hi,
Recently I got a copy of Jazz 2. I have windows 2000 (SP4). But I cannot hear any sound or music. I tried changing the sound setup but didnt help. Is there a patch or something that works? I have P4 1.6GHz, Gigabyte 850 Motherboard, AC97 sound (integrated), 384 MB RAM.

Hey, I run JJ2 in Win2K and haven't had any problems with sound. Is JJ2 the only thing you have this problem in? If you run the game in windowed mode, can you uncheck the menu items Music -> Mute Music, Music -> Mute Sound? Can you run the game with Spy on (Jazz2.exe -spy) and see if it mentions anything about sound?

Hi Monolith,
Thanks a lot for reply. The Spy solved the problem. It was the configuration problem with my sound hardware. Now I can enjoy the JJ2, my favourite game. Thanks again.
