Secret Level?
Anyone know about this secret level music I found in my JJ1 folder?
SECRET.PSM The title of the song is called "Jazz II"... I wonder if there was a Jazz Jackrabbit 2 in the works for DOS... and the project was scratched... maybe? Btw, Mono, I converted it to S3M if you wanna put it in the JJ1 music on your HTTP server. I can send it to you. Edit: I did a search on the forum for secret.psm... the only thread I found left a lot of unanswered questions ![]()

You can send it to me, I can add it to ultimate JJ1 music pack.
And it could be the Deserto Secret Song, I already know about that.

JJ2 had been in the works since before even HH94, and they were planning for several years to also create a DOS version of it.

You mean this?
I've had it, though I'm not sure where it came from. Probably someone posted it on the JCF before. I didn't know it was from JJ1, so I didn't have it sorted into that folder. As for why it's called Jazz II, maybe they were thinking of a sequel, or maybe it's a modification of another music file that was originally called Jazz. I don't know.

That's the Deserto secret level music. (The one where you play as a lizard) As for the title, maybe it was originally going to be an alternate menu music, but they decided to use it for a level.

Lol, I knew I was right. That music is already included in my ultimate JJ1 music pack, which can be downloaded at the J2O.

The name is Jazz II, because it's a modified JJ menu theme.

At the end of the first level, to the right of the end of level sign, there is a blue spring. Shoot the blocks around it with any weapon (avoid Launcher, you might hit the exit) to destroy them. Jump onto the spring and hold down the left and shoot keys. Repeat this as many times as needed until you shoot a hole into the wall. Follow the resulting passage. When you reach the end of it, shoot the wall on the left, and it will be destroyed, letting you enter a new area. At the far left of this area is a secret level sign.

I assumed you were talking about the first level of Holiday Hare... but I don't find a blue spring next to the exit sign... and I find it weird that the exit sign is in the middle of the level rather than at the end...
Please let me know if you mean another level.

Well, all the mentions of secret levels in this topic had been of the Deserto secret level, so I assumed you meant that one.
