Gpw vs Tf video replay, a first!
In the first round of todays match I hosted it, and recorded the whole game =). I was in ghost mode so they could NOT see me, and I was using cataclysm so I was not solid. The only intereference I did was a bit of ammo snatching by accident =P. Anyhow GPW won 4-1 in the round, and I have complied a replay of the "good" moments in it =P. It's around 50 megabytes, and requires the XVID codec (NOT DIVX). You can get the xvid codec here: http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html
The replay video is here: http://www.fooproducts.com/GpwTFRound1Replay.avi I highly recommend right clicking this link and pushing save target as. Anyhow your opinions on this new method of recording and the idea itself are welcome =D. |

Yes, cool idea
![]() I have been waiting for repalys from jj2 for ages ![]() File isn't really huge, it took me something like 5 min to download it, and quality isn't very bad ;p But I think that the host shouldn't recording game, because it makes more lags then. Other person should record games in the future ![]()

Thanks for your comments everyone =) I'm glad you've been able to download it wihtout trouble.
As for the server hosting it, it hasn't been proven that recording while hosting causes lag, my framerate was a constant 25 the whole time with fraps runnign and I'll try to do tests to see if hosting in this way causes lag. There were reports of lag while I was hosting it but that was because all the players were European, and I'm in north america =) |

After all I think that you recorded everything of the match, but removed the boring parts. I saw only about 25% of the round at that video. Just the scores were important, weren't they, who scored, who roasted, etc. So, I think that made enough clear what happened really.
Nice video anyways, hope we'll get some video from DM vs. FoR also.

1. It signifigantly increased the file size 2. Sound was annoying due to the fact I was on an airboard and constantly changing direction So I got rid of the sound =P. I could add a jj2 music file or something next time so at least there is something.. heheh |

As for sound I could just add a jj2 song to the video after editing, it probably wouldn't increase the size much, either way keeping the sound effects is hard =P. |

With my extremely slow DSL, this took about an hour to download. The video was sorta choppy and the player names were blurry for the most part (could only make out like 1 person from red, and the blue team). But still the first time I've seen this done, and hats off to spoy for taking the time and effort to do this. GJ, and congrats to the teams who played, win or lose.

That's extremely neat, Spoy. Did you use Fraps to record it? I do think some sort of background music would be cool. =)
