Running Final Fantasy VII on Windows XP
Are there any possible issues that I should know about that would prevent me from playing the PC version of Final Fantasy VII on my computer?

General stuff to make sure other general stuff runs generally well:
1. First install the game and see if it works. If it doesn't look for the error messages that will most likely be unhelpful. 2. Get all of the game's patches. 3. Try running it in Win9x mode. 4. Consult someone who actually knows what they're talking about. |

I know for a fact FF8 works, but can't help you with FF7. If you're trying to decide wether or not to buy it, I suggest you download the demo and try that. Sorry, I don't have a link for it. Try Google.

I found a demo and ran it in Windows 95 mode and it works. I also found a patch for FF7's full version that makes it work in XP without forcing you to run it under specific settings.
Played FF8, didn't like the system it used. (you can't equip new weapons/armor from what I've seen)

There are patches for winXP and for nVidia graphic card users. I had the same problem.
